72. His Evil SKYLA.
The darkness that surrounds me is raw, unearthly, and sickly.
Itâs hard to explain, but itâs like a plague that should never have touched this planet.
Apophisâs evil spreads far around us all, but itâs the eyes of the large snake that now burn into me.
I sense Royce jump up beside me and Iâm glad heâs here.
Heâs concerned and worried for me and with the fact that we need to be careful how much power we use, Iâm worried about him too.
Aleric is injured. I can see the wounds on the body of the snake and even Royce has several cuts and bruises.
âYouâre the third target. Be careful, Love.â
He says quietly.
I glance at him. âAlways.â I say through the mind link, Damn, Iâm glad I have that ability. Even if he canât reply through the mind link, I can at least talk to him.
A flash from the crystals beneath me captures my attention and I stare at my reflection. The stripes I had seen earlier have faded, leaving in its place a dark silvery metal coating to my entire body.
Thereâs something different in my Lycan form too. I look more⦠more slender, more feline-like, yet Iâm bigger, stronger and faster. 2 I bet I could outrun Dad now. 4 The large medallion that is wrapped around my neck proudly displays the sign of Bastet and the eye of Ra.
Turning back to the large snake before me, I snarl menacingly.
Third target.
Like he could ever kill me.
âItâs a shame really, you tried to have the Lycan King, and the Solaris King killed but you failed⦠Youâre afraid of me, arenât you?â
I say, making him hiss in rage.
He thrashes his tail violently, making the entire ground tremble.
Heâs just over half the size of one of those huge ass death noodles, but the power exuding from him is immense, making them look like theyâre just little ringworms. or some shit.
âI will never be afraid of you.â He hisses.â
You are a fool to think so.â
We may be talking, but I am analysing every movement he makes.
He may be in snake form, but his powers are vastâ¦
âWe have the firepower to cause damage.â
Leo murmurs.
âI guess your weapons are impressive indeedâ¦.â Dad mutters. âMake sure everyone stays back and clear from this area.â
âRiâ¦â Mamaâs voice. 1 Thank fuck sheâs ok.
âIâm here.â Raihanaâs voice comes. Sheâs quiet, emotionless even but I donât have time to wonder. âWe need to move further back⦠I can sense his power⦠be ready for the entire earth to be destroyed.â
âPrincess, are you alright?â Dadâs concern is clear in his voice. Sheâs next to them because I hear him murmur a âcome hereâ. 4 âSephora killed him⦠so I killed her.â She whispers to Dad, but even when speaking so quietly, I can hear her.
âShe deserved it,â Dad replies quietly. 3 âEveryone who is not fighting against the serpents, move back by another hundred yards.â Danteâs command comes.
Honestly, he sounds like heâs fucking chilling out. Thereâs no tension or unease in his voice, despite the situation before us. 3 âWeâll wait on the command to take this motherfucker down.â Dan, one of Leoâs Five remarks.
âHe has some sort of poison on the tip of his tail,â Leo murmurs quietly.
âNoted.â I say through the mind link, and Mama relays the message.
Letâs do this.
âAre you ready for the consequences of making a god your enemy?â Apophis snarls.
âSure, only, I donât see a fucking god, but just a worm who needs to be squished.â I snarl back, glaring into his dark, slitted eyes.
Looking into his eyes is draining, similar to the way I feel when I look into Danteâs. But even a fool would know that Apophis is far more powerful. 2 He is a god, not a Demigod⦠but I also know he isnât fully here. Heâs channelling more and more into Aleric, but the only way he can fully ascend is if the barrier is opened properly.
I glance at the sky, seeing it waver and flash as the Death Noodles attack wildly.
âI will give you one final chance. Bow to me and you may just live!â
Heâs fucking lying, but if he thinks Iâll buy that shit heâs more of a fucking idiot than I thought.
âThe barrier is weakening.â Delsanraâs voice comes.
âI can feel it too.â Uncle Liam replies.
âHeâs possibly channelling his abilities into Aleric. From my understanding, he actually isnât fully here.
Your best fucking chance is to finish him fast,â Leo says.
âUnderstood.â I reply through my mind.
If this is the power of a god that isnât here⦠what is the power of a god if he is present?
âTime to die!â Apophis hisses as he darts at Both Royce and I move as one as I dart to the side as his head crashes into the building where I had been standing moments earlier. 2 âYouâre the fool to think Iâm some easy target! Remember that it is Bastet who always destroys your evil attempt! Itâs laughable how much confidence you have in yourself.â I sneer. âAs for you, Aleric, the fact you gave up your body to a worm shows you really are worse than I thought!â I snarl as I dodge attack after attack.
An explosion that shakes the ground goes off and I am thrown back, only for Royce to catch me as we both brace ourselves against the impact. A serpent hisses, launching at us and Royce intercepts it.
âI am here, and willingly allowing Apophis to channel his power through me!â Aleric hisses. âDo not mistake my willingness for cowardice!â
âRight⦠give yourself a fucking clap on the back. Itâs not like you did something good.â I shoot back.
âThen Iâll simply take your Gherkin size dick out of fucking business. Tell me, shall I slice it up or dice it?
6 He rears his head, lunging at me with rage.
âDo not insult me, you whore! We both know itâs not a fucking gherkin!â 3 Wow, someone has ego issues.
âIt is compared to your brotherâs!â I taunt, as I block him â swinging my sword, this time I manage to slice off a few scales. He roars as he thrashes around before turning his blazing eyes on me. 3 I feel the rush of power within it, and he ducks, slamming into the side of what is left of the building, destroying it in its entirety.
I glance at the sky, seeing the waver in the thin sheet of the barrier.
I need to hurry!
âThink you could use some of that magic in your fingers to create a glassy slippery-as- fuck ground when we begin the attack? It might force him to shift.â I add to Royce through the link. 1 He doesnât reply, but I see him lower his head in a tiny nod.
Perfect.
âAwait my signal.â I say.
There is nothing more to say. Itâs time to end this now.
