Logan chuckled and put his arm around her shoulder. âWe are on honeymoon and | wanted an alone time with you. Usually, this place is crowded and | wished no one around. So, | booked this entire place for us,â he affirmed.
âWhat? You booked this place for real?â Hope still couldn't believe that Logan wanted an alone time with her. The sun was already at the h orizon, ready to disappear soon.
âDo you see anyone around?â Logan asked.
Hope shook her head. âLogan, you confuse me. Now, you are showing care toward me, trying to be a good husband to me,â she complained while gazing into his eyes as yanked away his arm from her shoulder.
âBut later, you will get away from me, ignore me and make me feel low.â Hope didnât hide from him what things about him truly frustrated her.
Logan gulped as he slightly frowned. âSo, you think all this is unreal,â he said.
âNo. | just want to tell you not to ignore me after showing genuine care toward me,â Hope urged him. âOf course, | feel special.
No one ever bothered to even take a day of their life for me, let alone planning such a thing for me. | truly appreciate your effort to make me happy. But | donât wish the memory I'll made her to turn bitter,â she stated.
â| would not have planned it if | wished to ignore you later.â Logan held her hand and took her ahead while walking slowly along with her. âHope, | know | signed a deal with. you, but | am attracted to you. | donât know if you believe me or not, but itâs the truth.â
Hope was taken aback by this sudden revelation. All along, she had believed he was only aiming to fulfill his desires through him.
As they descended the lengthy stairs leading to the lake side, Hope released his hand and dashed forward, kicking off her sandals. Reaching the beach, she let herself go and ran towards the water.
As the chilly lake water tickled her feet, she couldnât help but giggle. With a joyous twirl, the long, flowing floral dress she wore transformed into a beautiful gown, gracefully swirling around her feet.
Logan was mesmerized to see the way she was enjoying herself. A moment ago, she had turned upset when Logan showed her his caring, loving husband because of a misunderstanding. However, now, it seemed she already forgot about it.

631 His heart ski pped a beat to see the way Hope would run around him while jumping and dancing at her place.
âLogan, you should also take off your shoes and socks. Then, we will walk on the beach. It will be fun,â Hope suggested to him.
â| donât wish to dirty my feet,â Logan negated the idea of walking bare feet on the beach.
âWhat?â Hope squinted her eyes and got down on her feet.
âHey! What are you doing?â Logan quickly moved back but she caught his leg and started untying the laces.
âYou booked such a beautiful place for us. Iâm not letting you leave without enjoying the beauty of the nature her,â Hope stated and undid the laces on his shoes. Lifting her head, she gestured to Logan to remove his socks too.
Logan did what Hope asked him to. She grabbed his both hands and took backward steps, while he took forward steps. The breeze at the lake side made her hair to blow to the front.
âWhat are you going, Hope?â Logan asked her.
âDid you not want us to enjoy here?â Hope questioned him and finally halted at her place. Moving closer to him, she rested her hands on his chest while affectionately glancing into his eyes.
âYou have lost the spark to live, havenât you?â Hope inquired.
Logan was stunned to hear such a query. His fingers curled and he blinked rapidly.
âItâs alright to lose the people. It wasnât your fault, Logan,â Hope said as she lowered her eyes for a moment. âDonât give up on living a happy life, Logan. It hurts me as well to see you like this,â she admitted.
âI'm not giving up,â Logan said, âwhat are you even speaking?â He muttered and pulled away from her. She pulled a string that hurt him and scared him always. He went ahead of her and then finally sat on the sand. His eyes darted on the beautiful view of sunset.
Hope walked to him and settled beside him. Her hands were now on her knees, which were in the air.
â| was 12 when my both parents died in a deadly accident,â Logan said. âI could have given up on living that day, but | didnât,â he stated.
20 EIM Hope turned her head to peer at him. âBut you try to stay away from your own family. | mean Grandpa. You could have lived with him, but you chose to live alone,â she murmured with a quizzical glance.
â| told the villa is of my parents. Itâs better to live there, then at grandpaâs place,â Logan stated.
â| know. | am aware of it. However, you truly are away from everything. You married me to take over the company as the chairman. You want a child from me because thatâs what your grandpa wants from you. Isnât it wrong that you are not even selfish for your own happiness? You chose to chase something, which will give you joy for a moment of time,â Hope proclaimed.
Logan had no idea how Hope found out his ambition. He was a selfish jerk. But he couldnât help behaving like this. It was better than letting the company fall in the wrong. hands.
âWhat if you die because of me?â Logan suddenly asked a question, which she didnât anticipate.
âWhy would that happen?â Hope looked puzzled at his question.
âYou know, answer, Hope, Logan said as he tilted his head. Their eyes locked, trying to figure out what was in her mind.
âAnd what if it doesnât happen? Even before | told you to give a chance to yourself, to your heart. You said earlier that | attract you. Then, let your body in accordance with your heart not your mind,â Hope suggested to him.
