The next morning, Ryan woke up with a severe headache. He tries to recall things from the last, but could only remember he had gone to Roaxanaâs company after drinking; later she brought him home.
He decided to call her later and apologize to her for troubling her last night. After he freshened up, Ryan prepared a herbal tea for himself to remove his hangover.
He sat on the counter chair of the kitchen and sipped the tea. He checked his phone to check the messages. One was from his elder brother, rest there was nothing.
As Ryan finished the tea, he felt better and he called Roaxana. âWhy isnât she answering? Has she already gone to her office?â
Ryan murmured when the phone was finally answered.
Morning, Roxy,â Ryan greeted her first.
âHmm. Good morning,â Roaxana greeted him back.
âDid | trouble you a lot last night? You sound low. Iâm so sorry for causing trouble for you. | should not have come to your office in that state.â Ryan felt guilty of his actions from the previous day. However, he still didnât recall how he kissed Roaxana. He totally had forgotten about it.
âOkay. Iâm getting late for work. I'll talk to you later.â Roaxana hung up the call.
Ryan looked at his phone and felt weird. Roaxana would never hang up on him like this. There was something definitely he did to hurt her. âI didnât create any drama in her company, did 1?â He mumbled.
Ryan bit her bottom lip in apprehension and quickly sent an apology message to Roaxana.
She, on the other hand, was annoyed to see his message. He didnât remember at all what he did last night. But Roaxana decided to stay quiet. Ryan forgot that because he never intended to do such a thing with her.
She kept the phone beside her on the passanger seat and started the engine before. driving to her workplace.
*Logan!â Hope rushed into his room with a dress in her hand. âDid you buy this for me? Aunt Cecilia said you did.â She looked overjoyed just to receive that dress from him.
âYeah, | did. You have a ball, so | thought you should have a better dress for it,â Logan [e)
Wed, 28 Feb asserted as he turned around. He wore the blazer and asked, âDid you like it?â
-67%
â| love it,â Hope replied. âWill you accompany me to the ball? Also, Gloria wants me to go to her house since sheâs confused what she should wear. Can | go?â she asked for his permission.
âI'll try to come to the ball.â Logan didnât clarify her whether he could attend the ball or not. He still had an important task to do.
âWho is Gloria? Is she trustable?â he asked.
âShe is my classmate. Yes, she is trustable,â Hope answered.
âAlright, then take the driver with you. He will drop you at Gloriaâs place. | wonât have breakfast here since Iâve an early morning meeting. See you in the evening, Logan said as he patted her head and left the room.
Hope went after him and saw him entering the car. Logan lowered the window of the driver seat and said, âI'll try to come to the ball, but | cannot guarantee it yet. Have fun and take this,â while forwarding his black card.
â| donât need this,â Hope refused to take the black card from him.
âKeep it. It is yours anyway.â Logan placed it in her hand and waved at her before. driving away.
He soon reached at the company and attended his first morning meeting.
An hour later, when Logan left the boardroom, an employee informed him about Kasper Ravenclaw, Hopeâs father.
âPaul bring him to me,â Logan said and headed to his office.
Five minutes later, Paul entered the office with Kasper.
âHave a seat, Kasper,â Logan said after they exchanged formal greetings.
Kasper pulled out the chair and settled on it. His condition didnât appear good. His clothes looked nothing more than rags. Logan recalled how Hope was for the first time he saw her. She used to wear such shabby clothes.
âDid you realize what you did to Hope, your daughter, all these years?â Logan asked. him.
â| did. And Iâm regretful toward my actions. | beg you to forgive me. Please ask Hope to forgive me, Mr. Moore,â Kasper again pleaded forgiveness.
Last night when he received a call from Logan, he got the hope that Logan might give him, his family one more chance to prove themselves.
[e)
â| donât think Hope is ready to forgive you all. What you do to her for so many years is nothing compared to what happened to you three now,â Logan clarified to him. He would hardly show mercy to anyone, except in a few cases where Hope asked him to.
âIs Hope your real daughter?â Logan asked him a question, which made Kasper startle.
âY-yes. Why did Mr. Moore ask me something like that?â Kasper was puzzled a bit by that question.
âI'll ask one more time, Kasper. Say the truth and move to a life, where you were once,â Logan gave him the final chance. âIs Hope your real daughter?â he asked again.
Kasper furrowed his brows together and answered. âYes, she is my real daughter.â
Logan was surprised to hear that, but he was relieved that Hopeâs doubt of not being the Ravenclaw familyâs daughter had cleared completely.
âAlright. You can leave,â Logan said.
Kasper stood up from his chair and turned to go out when Logan asked, âMr. Ravenclaw, what is Karla upto these days? | saw him with Daniel. Are they planning something?â
Kasper shook his head. âNo. Karla has nothing to do with Daniel, he refuted Loganâs claims.
âGreat! If your daughter hasn't tried to kill Hope, you would not be in this state,â Logan asserted. âSadly, | cannot do anything to bring you out of this misery. Show him the way out, Paul,â he instructed.
After Kasper left with Paul, Logan leaned back on the swivel chair. âWhy did Hope get such a message?â he murmured.
