Chapter 1005
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
âBut, Jen wonât be there,â Felix murmured silently in his heart before talking to Wyatt. âEven if youâre my daddy, I donât want to go back to Lommore with you.â
Wyatt raised his eyebrows slightly. âYou donât want to go back to Lommore?â
âNo, I donât want to,â Felix responded in his meek voice.
âWhy would you stay here? As far as I know, many people here call you a criminalâs son. In the Youngblood family, youâre in an embarrassing situation. Whatâs good about this place? When you return to Lommore, youâll be the son of the Serton family and be respected by others. Maybe youâre still young and donât understand what that identity means. But if you donât go back, youâll regret it in the future.â âI wonât go back,â Felix repeated. Then, he pondered, âThe son of the Serton family? Will I be like Guillermo now? The housekeepers dare not refuse Guillermo. They are respectful to him.
Everyone gives him what he wants.â
Felix did not know how far away Lommore was. If he and Jennifer were not in the same city, it would make him feel like she was far away from him.
Wyatt seemed to be amused by Felixâs unwavering refusal. As a matter of fact, it has been a long time since anyone dared to refuse him like that.
However, the one who refused him was his only son.
Wyatt asked, âWhatâs the reason? I want to know why you donât want to go back to Lommore with me.â
But, Felix tightly pursed his lips. Obviously, he was not willing to say why.
âIs it because of Jennifer?â Wyatt asked as another tiny figure flashed in his mind. According to his investigation a few days ago, Jennifer should be the one who had the best relationship with Felix in the Youngblood family.
Back then, Felix met Jennifer at a musical exhibition and began to get in touch. Like Felix, Jennifer was talented in piano.
Felixâs eyes suddenly widened. After all, he was still a child. Even if he was more precocious than his peers, he still couldnât hide his emotions.
At that moment, the surprise and panic in his eyes revealed everything.
Wyatt smiled. âIs it really because of Jennifer? Is that little girl the reason youâre reluctant to leave? If you like little girls who play the piano well to accompany you, I can find many of those playmates for you when you return to Lommore.â
âBut those playmates arenât Jen!â Felix remarked silently in his heart. Then, he met Wyattâs eyes. âNo. I want to stay in Strico. I donât want to go to Lommore with you. Ms. Leighton said I⦠could always stay with the Youngblood family.â
At that moment, Rosalieâs promise was the biggest support for a child like Felix.
Wyatt stared at Felix as a trace of displeasure flashed in his eyes. âMs. Leighton? Rosalie Leighton? It seems that youâve been tamed by the Youngblood family after staying there for a few days! Your mother is dead now, so Iâm your guardian. What can Rosalie do? Sheâs not related to you by blood. I want to take you back to Lommore, and no one can stop me!â
Felixâs tiny figure suddenly tensed. Like a kitten exploding in anger, he stared at his biological father without saying a word. However, he was obviously full of refusal.
Wyatt stared at Felix. After a while, he said slowly, âIn that case, I wonât force you. But one day, you take the initiative to ask to go back to the Serton family in Lommore!â
will Felix pursed his lips tightly and remained silent.
Wyatt took out a piece of paper and wrote down his phone number on it. âWhenever you want to come with me back to Lommore, just call me. Remember what I said. In Lommore, you can have everything you want. In Strico, youâll always be under someone elseâs roof and also the son of a criminal who owns nothing!â
His little figure stiffened even more. One of Felixâs hands tightly clasped the piece of paper with the number.
09:401 Wyatt did not say anything else and turned around before walking out of the room.
nap on After a while, a kindergarten teacher came in and took Felix back to the classroom. She let him the little bed during lunch break as if nothing had happened. Only the note in Felixâs hand reminded him of what had happened earlier.
When Wyatt walked out of the kindergarten, he saw another car parked beside his car. At that moment, a figure came out of the car. It was Jonathan, the most difficult man to deal with in Strico.
Surprise flashed across Wyattâs eyes. Then, he understood the situation.
At that moment, Felix resided in the Youngblood residence. Wyatt investigated Felix carefully without alerting anyone. However, Jonathan was no ordinary person.
Jonathan parted his lips and spoke. âIâve heard about you, Mr. Serton, but I hadnât gotten the chance to meet you before. I didnât expect to bump into you here. I wonder why you came to this kindergarten.
Are there any children from the Serton family studying here?â
As soon as Jonathan said that, Wyatt realized that the former probably knew everything.
Thus, Wyatt stopped hiding it. âOh, I have a son here. His name is Felix. Thank you for taking care of him during this period, Mr. Youngblood.â
The two men looked at each other.
âOh, taking care of him is nothing. Felix is quite close with my daughter. Mr. Serton, Iâm curious about your relationship with Yvette. Now that Yvette has died in prison, what are you planning to do here in Strico?â Jonathanâs question was straightforward.
To Jonathan, Wyatt was indeed a person who could not be underestimated. Although Yvetteâs death was brought upon by herself, it had something to do with the Youngblood family and Rosalie. If Wyatt insisted on taking avenging Yvette, it would cause huge trouble.
A clever man, Wyatt understood what Jonathan meant. âI came to Strico solely to take Felix with me.
As for Yvette, I wonât interfere with her grudges against the Youngblood family. Besides, sheâs dead now, so thereâs no need for me to do anything for her.â
Wyatt sounded cold-blooded and ruthless when he said that. He could not even remember how Yvette, who spent a night with him, looked like. Most of his impressions were obtained through investigation after the incident.
He was not that stupid to make an enemy of the Youngblood family for the sake of a dead woman.
Moreover, Wyatt had no feelings for Yvette at all. If it werenât for his inability to produce any more offspring, he wouldnât have even investigated that one night from many years ago to surmise whether or not he may have any descendants.
However, he was indeed surprised that a woman like Yvette would give birth to the child. That could be considered a good deed of hers.
