“Mr. White was worried that you might encounter any danger, Ms. Quinn, so he assigned us to protect you discreetly,” the person explained.

Their unusual behavior immediately piqued the interest of the people around them. Suddenly, a voice pierced through. “Isn’t she the woman who had an affair with the chairman of White Maple Group and became trending because of her pregnancy?”

After the earlier incident with Jerick’s post, which had been maliciously pushed to the trending topics, Lillian’s photos and videos from the media had been widely circulated on the internet. Despite Callum’s subsequent efforts to have them taken down, a substantial number of people had already viewed them.

As a result, it wasn’t surprising that Lillian was recognized.

However, that comment attracted more attention and caused more people to turn their heads in their direction. Many of them began to gossip among themselves.

As Callum received a call from his subordinate, his brow furrowed slightly. He replied, “Okay, I got it. I’ll be right there.” He then turned to the people in the ongoing video conference and said, “Please continue the meeting. My secretary will take down notes.”

After he said that, Callum left in a hurry. This left the people on the large wall screen, who were in the middle of a video conference, in a state of confusion. They had no idea what had happened to make Callum leave in such a hurry.

Nonetheless, the secretary was fully aware of the situation. After all, besides Lillian, no one else possessed such influence.

When Callum’s car pulled up at the café near the mall’s entrance, he spotted Jonathan, who was also rushing over.

A sudden bad feeling washed over Callum, while Jonathan, on the other hand, arched an eyebrow ever so slightly.

“What a coincidence, we meet again.” Jonathan stepped forward and initiated the conversation.

“Indeed, we do,” Callum responded with a touch of awkwardness.

“I heard they came to see celebrities today. Which celebrity is your significant other currently following?” Jonathan asked.

Callum found himself at a loss for words. Lillian followed numerous celebrities, perhaps a dozen or more, and he wasn’t entirely sure which one she was following here today. His previous conversation with Lillian’s bodyguard on the phone had been somewhat vague as well.

When Jonathan noted Callum’s hesitation, he seemed to grasp the situation. He suggested, “Let’s go inside and take a look. Anyway, even if Lillian loves you, you still have to ensure she keeps her attention on you. That way, she won’t be so keen on following celebrities.”

Inwardly, he thought, “So that she won’t drag Rosalie along to all those celebrity events so frequently!”

The unspoken words were precisely what Jonathan wished to say.

Callum rubbed his temples and asked, “And what about you? How do you manage to keep Rosalie’s attention on you?”

Jonathan offered a smile and replied, “Just be more alluring to her than the other men she’s interested in. Women can captivate men, so why can’t men do the same?”

Callum glanced at Jonathan and wondered, “This guy, could he be…”

“You’re not bad-looking. Don’t tell me you’re worried you can’t compete with those celebrities.”

Jonathan patted Callum’s shoulder and led the way into the café.

Callum watched Jonathan’s retreating figure and followed him inside.

Inside the café, two women sat, sipped their coffees, and engaged in lively conversation with the head of the film crew. They appeared to be enjoying themselves.

The café had been reserved by the film crew for today’s shoot.

The film crew had naturally recognized Lillian due to the earlier commotion outside, and considering her 09:34 pregnancy, they had invited her in.

After all, the chairman of White Maple Group had previously declared in tabloid news that Lillian’s unborn child was the future heir of their company.

If anything happened to the child, it could spell trouble for the film crew.

However, what the crew hadn’t anticipated was the entrance of another tall, handsome man with Callum.

As some of the bodyguards laid eyes on Jonathan, they immediately called out, “Mr. Youngblood.”

In Strico, very few individuals were addressed as “Mr. Youngblood.”

Moreover, as the crew gazed at Jonathan and his distinguished appearance, someone among them began to draw connections to a particular figure.

“Could this be… Jonathan Youngblood?”

When they overheard Rosalie calling out “Jon,” their speculations gained even more certainty. They cried out inwardly, “He’s indeed Jonathan!”

Jonathan walked up directly to Rosalie. “Are you hurt? If you really want an autograph, just let me know.”

“I’m not hurt. I was just bumped by someone.” After she said that, Rosalie smiled. “Actually, I only found out today that the TV series I’ve been following is being filmed here. I’ve already gotten an autograph and a photo.”

Jonathan, seemingly unperturbed, asked, “Oh? Have you been watching TV series recently? What’s the title of the series, and what’s it about?”

Rosalie’s breath immediately caught in her throat. She thought, “Oh, God, I just slipped up. The title of the series is quite normal, but the plot is…”

Rosalie fell silent for a moment. As she hesitated on how to respond, Callum chimed in softly, “The series is called ‘Old Friends.’ It’s a love story between two men.”

Jonathan’s expression froze for a brief moment. Despite his usual composure, he couldn’t help but be surprised. He turned his gaze toward Rosalie and asked, “Do you enjoy watching this kind of series?”

“The plot is actually… quite good. Um… I occasionally watch it,” Rosalie said sheepishly. She found herself feeling inexplicably guilty under Jonathan’s gaze, although she couldn’t quite pinpoint the reason. After all, she hadn’t been watching the series with any specific intent.

“This series is really sweet. Callum, didn’t you watch it with me? Tell Jonathan about it, so he won’t get the wrong idea,” Lillian said.

Her words gave Callum a sudden headache. “Is she seriously trying to promote the TV series to Jonathan?” he wondered.

He then glanced sideways at Lillian. “I heard you specifically requested the film crew’s shooting schedule from the assistants I arranged for you. Did you come here today according to that schedule?”

Lillian gave a dry smile. “I just came to take a look. I wasn’t entirely certain if they’d be filming today, but it turned out they were.”

“Besides asking for autographs, what else did you do?” Callum asked. His eyes briefly scanned the crew members nearby, where he unsurprisingly spotted the two lead actors.

While he might not recognize the others, he could still identify the two leads. Lillian had never praised their good looks in his presence.

This led him to ponder whether it was necessary to follow Jonathan’s advice and find ways to capture Lillian’s attention to ensure her focus remained on him.
