Chapter 1094
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
Felixâs eyes widened in surprise, and a hint of panic appeared. Even for a child his age, it was tough to hide their feelings altogether, no matter how observant they were.
âSo what are you going to do? Do you want to go back? Or do you still want to stay with the Youngblood family?â asked Jonathan smilingly.
Felix was a little scared. Even though Mr. Youngblood was smiling at him, he still felt like his throat was closing up, and he couldnât catch his breath.
âIâ¦â The words he wished to express, his desire to remain with the Youngblood family, got caught in his throat. He couldnât voice them.
âIf you wish to leave, I wonât stand in your way. However, you must avoid mischief if you remain with the Youngblood family. Even as a child, I wonât overlook misbehavior within our home. Regardless of your fatherâs identity, I will take action if necessary,â Jonathan cautioned.
Felixâs little body shrank back. âI⦠donât have any malicious intentions. I didnât push Aiden down the stairs.â He plucked up his courage and stammered out the sentence.
Jonathan said with a half-smile, âI donât care about the truth. It doesnât matter to me whether you pushed him or not.â Jonathan didnât care about Aidenâs life or death.
What he cared about were only Rosalie and their children. He didnât care about anything else.
âI just donât like people trying to make a move toward my family. I hope you understand what Iâm saying,â warned Jonathan.
Felixâs little face became extremely pale, and he could only mumble, unable to answer coherently.
âAll right. If you understand that, then you can leave,â said Jonathan.
Felix lowered his head and walked out of the study. When he returned to his room, he saw Jennifer sitting there, Felixâs eyes sparkled, and there was a touch of excitement in his voice as he exclaimed, âJ⦠Jen! I canât believe youâre here! Are you staying the night? Want to hear a story? Iâve memorized a few just for you. I can share them.â
Jennifer bit her lips and glared at Felix with clear, sharp eyes.
Felix suddenly felt uneasy. His original excitement cooled down, and he asked, âW⦠whatâs wrong, Jen?â
âTell me the truth! Did your Daddy come to see you today to take you back home?â questioned Jennifer.
After thinking about it for a long time, she couldnât help but run over to Felix to ask him about his decision.
Felixâs expression changed drastically, and he looked pale. âHo⦠how did you know that?â
âSo, you were really planning to leave?â shouted Jennifer. Her eyes widened, and she suddenly felt like Felix had hidden things from her and had deceived her. It turned out that he had already been ready to leave. Jennifer thought, âAll these while, I have been saying to him about how I wanted to be friends with him for the rest of our lives and wanted him to stay with the Youngblood family forever!
He must have been laughing at me when he heard me say those things!â In an instant, tears welled up in Jenniferâs eyes.
âMy daddy wants me to go back, but Iâ¦â Felix wished to express his desire to remain with the Youngblood family, but Jenniferâs following words abruptly silenced him.
âThen leave! Why are you still here? Iâm glad you are leaving! I donât want a person like you to be my friend anyway. I couldnât care less about it! Felix, I hate you!â yelled Jennifer as she left Felixâs room indignantly and ran off Felix looked at the open door in a daze, and his little body stiffened.
It felt like a string in his heart had suddenly snapped.
Felix thought, âI had chosen to stay here because I had been reluctant to leave her, but it turns out that she doesnât care about me at all and doesnât want to be friends with me anymore!
This is the second time she said she hates me!
It was meaningless for me to stay here anymore!â
After a long time, his little body moved. Then he opened the drawer and took a piece of paper from it. It was a piece of paper with Wyattâs phone number on it.
Felix thought, âMaybe it is as Daddy said. If I stay with the Youngblood family, I will never get what I really want!
What I truly desire is not just Jenâs smile but alsoâ¦
In the middle of the night, Felix went down to the living room, took the telephone, and dialed the number written on the paper.
After a while, his call was connected to the other side.
âItâs Felix,â he said.
âSo, have you made up your mind?â Wyattâs voice sounded from the receiver.
âYes.â Felix gently nodded and said, âI want to go back to the Serton family.â
However, when he informed Wyatt of his decision, his voice was choked with sobs, and tears seemed welling up.
âAll right. My car will be at the entrance of the Youngblood residence in half an hour.â After saying that, Wyatt ended the call.
Felix hung up the phone and thought, âHalf an hour? I only have half an hour left in this house?â
He went back to his room and looked at the things in it. He mused, âNone of these belongs to me!
When I first arrived here, I had nothing with me. Now that Iâm leavingâ¦â He paused for a moment, and then decided to take the doll Jennifer had given him.
Then Felix quietly walked to Jenniferâs room door. He pushed it open and crept in.
Jennifer was lying on her bed and had fallen asleep, but there seemed to be tear stains on his face.
âHad she been crying? Why was she crying?â Felix wondered.
He looked at her quietly, then raised his hand and gently wiped the tears on her face. After that, he whispered to her, âJen, Iâm leaving now. If I want to get what I want, I need to leave. One day, no one will look down on me again. At that timeâ¦â
Whatever he said next was something no one heard.
The tiny little kid walked out of the mansion with only a doll in his hand. He arrived at the gate of the Youngblood residence.
He stepped forward to push open the iron gate. Oddly, it was unlocked, and he could open it smoothly.
Felix didnât dwell on it, as he had already spotted a silver-gray sedan approaching.
When the car stopped in front of him, Felix saw Wyatt get out of the car and walk toward him. âSince you have decided, you canât return here anymore. Hereafter, you will not be Felix Hamilton from the Youngblood family but Felix Serton of the Serton family.â
âFelix Hamilton⦠No, I am Felix Serton now,â he thought and then nodded in confirmation.
Wyattâs gaze fell on the doll in Felixâs hand again. He knew from a glance that it belonged to a girl. âDo you want to take this doll with you?â
Felix nodded again.
