Chapter 1095
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
âAll right. Letâs go,â said Wyatt as he got in the car with Felix. Before Wyatt got into the car, he glanced at the mansion, and a smile flashed across his face.
After a while, the car slowly drove away from the Youngblood residence.
Jonathan, who was in the mansion, received a call from the security at the door. âMr. Youngblood, Felix has been picked up.â
âOkay, I understand,â said Jonathan. After that, he put away the phone.
Rosalie, who had fallen asleep, opened her eyes in a daze. The ringing of the phone had woken her up. âWho is calling so late at night?â
âSorry, did I wake you? You can go back to sleep. It was the security at the door. He told me that Wyatt had come over and picked up Felix,â said Jonathan. He pulled up the quilt and ensured Rosalie was covered up properly, worried she might catch a cold.
âWhat?â Rosalie burst out, instantly jolted awake from her drowsiness, and became clear-headed.
âFelix has left?â
âYes. Felix called Wyatt by himself in the middle of the night and asked him to take him away,â said Jonathan. Since Felix had made the call from the landline in the living room of the Youngblood residence, he was naturally easily exposed.
Jonathan had asked someone to open the gate, so Felix could leave without any difficulties.
âWhy would Felix suddenlyâ¦â mumbled Rosalie as she frowned. âIs it because he was beaten up by the housekeepersâ children yesterday?â
âNo matter the reason, at least he is willing to leave with Wyatt of his volition. Shouldnât an ending like this be celebrated? He has his biological father to raise him, so naturally, he will have a better life there.
And we donât have to worry about whether he has any resentments toward the Youngblood family due to him being Yvetteâs child,â said Jonathan.
âButâ¦â
âAll right. Letâs stop discussing this and sleep first. If there is anything you want to talk over, we can do it tomorrow morning after we wake up.â Jonathan got under the quilt and hugged Rosalie.
Rosalie sighed and said, âTomorrow, when Jen realizes Felix has left, she will be sad.â
âAfter all, as a mother, I can see clearly how much Jen likes Felix,â thought Rosalie.
âShe is just a child. Even if she is sad, she will be fine after a while,â said Jonathan indifferently. He assumed that Jennifer wouldnât be so attached to Felix. âLook at the toys she gets interested in. It takes only a few days. for her novelty to wear off, then she stops playing with them.â
âFelix is not a toy. Itâs different this time,â said Rosalie.
âIn my opinion, there is not much of a difference,â said Jonathan as he held Rosalie tighter.
Jonathan thought, âAt least, in my opinion, it is a good thing that the child has left. If Jennifer really gets sad because of this, I can easily find some new toys to distract her.
After all, children are always like that. They love the new and loathe the old.â
Jennifer didnât see Felix the following day when they were all having breakfast. So she couldnât help asking, âWhere is Felix? Why hasnât he come down for breakfast?â
âFelix has left with his daddy,â said Jonathan.
Jennifer blinked in a daze. After a while, she finally came to her senses. âH-He⦠has left?â she asked.
âYes, heâs gone,â said Jonathan.
Guillermo was also clearly stunned. He blinked his eyes and thought, âAlthough I knew that Felix would leave sooner or later, I didnât expect that it would happen so suddenly.â
Suddenly, Jennifer jumped off the chair and ran toward the room that Felix had been staying in.
When she came to the room door and pushed it open, she could only feel the desolateness permeating it.
The quilt had been neatly folded and looked the same as when she saw it when she came in yesterday.
Nothing in 4 m had been moved. The only thing that could be said was missing was the doll on the headboard.
It was the doll she had liked so much yet had given to Felix when he had first arrived at the Youngblood residence.
Jennifer gazed at the room that looked no different from yesterday and thought of what she said to Felix in this room the day before.
âD-Did Felix really leave? Had his biological dad come looking for him yesterday? So heâs really gone?â
wondered Jennifer.
Suddenly, Jennifer burst into tears.
At this moment, Rosalie and Jonathan had also come over. When they saw Jennifer crying, Rosalie immediately picked up her daughter and comforted her softly, âItâs all right. Donât cry, Jen. It is a happy thing he has gone back to live with his biological dad. Felix has his own family, so he canât possibly be staying with us here forever.â
Jennifer continued sobbing bitterly. âHe said he wanted to stay hère forever, so why is that not possible?â she cried loudly, and tears continuously rolled down her cheeks.
âBut Felix also wants to be with his daddy. He is just like you, Jen. Havenât you always liked staying with your daddy?â said Rosalie as she tried to advise Jennifer.
But Jennifer was not having any of it. She just kept crying. âI want Felix! I want Felix!â she sobbed. âHe didnât even tell me when he was leaving. Is it because I said I hated him and didnât want to be his friend anymore? H-He must be angry with meâ¦â After that, she sobbed even louder.
When Rosalie heard this, she suddenly understood why Felix had called Wyatt in the middle of the night and asked Wyatt to pick him up right then.
âI guess it has something to do with Jen, huh?â thought Rosalie.
Therefore, Jennifer didnât go to kindergarten that day. She just continued crying bitterly while Guillermo also accompanied her at home. After a whole day of tears, Jenniferâs eyes were swollen red due to her crying. Rosalie felt heartbroken when she saw that.
That night, Jennifer insisted on sleeping in Felixâs room because she thought he would return. âWe are good friends. He wouldnât leave me without saying a word!â thought Jennifer.
Guillermo thought over things for a while. Then, he carried his little blanket and went to Felixâs room.
He said earnestly to Rosalie, who was really concerned over Jennifer, âMommy, I will sleep with Jen and take good care of her!â
Rosalie looked at her sensible eldest son and then at her daughter, whose eyes had swollen so badly, before she said, âAll right, Guille. You need to take care of Jen well tonight.â
Guillermo nodded his head solemnly.
At night, when Guillermo and Jennifer were lying on the bed, Jennifer said in a nasal voice, âGuille, I miss Felix. Although he pushed Aiden down the stairs and lied, I still miss him so much. I donât want him to leaveâ¦â The urge to cry overcame her again as she said that.
âIf you really miss him, then weâll go find him and bring him back,â said Guillermo.
Jenniferâs eyes lit up, but then the light in her eyes dimmed again. âWhat if Felixâs daddy doesnât let him leave? Since his daddy had taken him away, Iâm sure he wonât let Felix go.â
âWe can bring him back sneakily so that his daddy wonât find out,â said Guillermo.
