Chapter 1102
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
âEven if itâs old, itâs my stuff, so no one can take it away from me! Where did you guys put the doll?â
Felix shouted like an angry lion.
This doll was the only thing he took from the Youngblood residence, and it was given to him by Jennifer. It was his most precious treasure.
The housekeeper was startled and stuttered a little as she replied, âItâs in the utility roomâ¦â Usually, the utility room was used to store items that were no longer needed in the house. Then, they would be collected and sold to scrap collectors, which was also a source of external income for the housekeepers.
Felix immediately rushed downstairs and ran toward the utility room while the housekeeper also followed behind him.
Jennifer, who was hiding in the dark, blinked as she thought to herself, âI saw Felix just now, but he seems different from what I remember. Itâs as if he has changed in ways that I canât describe. The housekeeper addressed him respectfully, so Felix seems to be living a nice life here.â Suddenly, Jennifer felt that she couldnât ask Felix to go back with her.
Even so, she cast her doubts aside as she wanted to quickly find Felix and apologize to him.
Jennifer recalled the location of the utility room on the layout plan and started sneaking over.
Suddenly, someone reprimanded her from behind, âWhere did you come from? Why are you here at this hour? Who are your parents?â
Jennifer turned around and saw a middle-aged woman in a housekeeper uniform walking toward her.
The housekeeper obviously thought Jennifer was the child of a housekeeper here.
âI⦠Iâ¦â Jennifer touched her bag, grabbed a handful of money, and threw it at the housekeeper.
Guillermo had told her that most people would subconsciously pick up money when they saw it.
The housekeeper wasnât expecting Jennifer to toss a handful of money at her, each note worth hundreds.
For a moment, she was stunned.
Jennifer hurriedly took out the communication device while running and told Guillermo, âGuille, Iâve been discovered!â
âDiscovered? Did you throw the money?â
âYes, I threw the money and ran away, but the person is still chasing after me!â
âThen sprinkle some beans. Iâll cut the power for you again, so remember to put on your night-vision goggles!â Guillermo said.
âOkay!â Jennifer hurriedly responded. Seeing that the housekeeper was catching up to her, she raised her hand again.
The housekeeper subconsciously thought that Jennifer was about to throw some more money, so she didnât stop this time. However, Jennifer tossed beans at her instead. The housekeeper stepped on the beans and fell to the ground. She tried to get up again, but there were beans all around her, so she kept falling down each time.
âHurry up! Catch this child!â the housekeeper shouted at the other housekeepers nearby.
Hearing the housekeepers approaching, Jennifer hurriedly sprinkled money and beans at the same time. She basically threw all that she ha on her.
What greeted her ears were thumps after thumps as the housekeepers kept falling. Reluctant to leave the money lying on the floor, they picke up the money while tumbling around.
Jennifer ran off and put on her night-vision goggles while running.
Sure enough, the power in the house was cut off again after a while, but Jennifer found the utility room without any issues using the night-vision goggles.
At this moment, it was dark inside the utility room. Felix was still standing in the utility room with a doll in his hand. He had found the doll, and the housekeeper who followed him to the utility room was standing nearby, murmuring, âWhatâs going on today? The power has been cut off twice! But Iâm sure the power will be restored soon, Mr. Felix, so donât be afraid.â
Jennifer was in a daze as she looked at Felix through the lenses of the night-vision goggles.
Felix was standing not far away from her. She could meet him as long as she could get a little closer.
âWhoâs there?â Felix suddenly asked.
His hearing was sharp, and that was especially the case in the pitch-black darkness.
âHuh? Is someone here?â the housekeeper asked.
Jennifer suddenly felt a little upset, and she walked toward Felix step by step.
Felixâs expression changed, and he had a defensive look on his face. Even his body was slightly hunched forward, obviously being extremely vigilant.
Despite being fully alert, he held the doll in his arms with both hands as if he wanted to protect it more than himself.
Jennifer frowned as she thought, âHe⦠Does he like dolls that much? It seems to be a bit excessive⦠I had given him a doll that I loved before, and he always treasured it very much. When he left this time, I found that the doll was no longer in his room. I was wondering if he had taken it away.â
The closer Jennifer got to Felix, the tenser his body became.
When she walked to him, he seemed to have stretched himself to the extreme. Seeing that his body was about to collide with hers, Jennifer suddenly hugged him.
Felixâs whole body stiffened as he thought, âThis sensation⦠Itâs Jen whoâs hugging me!â
Even if Jennifer didnât say anything, he knew better than anyone that it was her hugging him. This feeling was simply all too familiar for him.
âIâm sorry, Felix,â Jennifer said softly.
The next moment, the power in the house was restored again, and the utility room became bright all of a sudden.
The housekeeper in the utility room was shocked when she saw that there was another child holding Felix. She would probably be scolded to death by Leonard and his wife if Felix got injured by this child.
After all, Felix was the favorite of Leonard and his wife.
âWhere did you come from? Let go of Mr. Felix!â As the housekeeper spoke, she stepped forward to pull Jennifer away.
Felix glared coldly at the housekeeper. âDonât touch her!â
The housekeeper immediately froze and didnât dare lay a finger on Jennifer anymore. âDo you know this little girl, Mr. Felix?â
Jennifer hugged Felix tightly. âIâm sorry, Felix. I misunderstood you. You didnât push Aido down the stairs. I shouldnât have said those words! I should have trusted youâ¦â
