Chapter 1316
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
Rosalie came to a bookstore and wanted to choose some books and buy some stationery for Aiden.
Amelia had gone to Lofbury, so Matilda had to take care of the two children alone. Rosalie also wanted to help Matilda take care of the kids.
Thinking of the three-month bet that Amelia had told her, Rosalie couldnât help but feel a little worried.
She didnât expect Amelia to make such a bet with Warren.
If Warren didnât undo his hypnosis in three months, it would be too difficult for him to fall in love with Amelia again.
âWhy didnât you set the due longer? Like three years or something?â On the video call, Rosalie said to Amelia.
âIf I really ask for three years, maybe he will sue for divorce directly. I guess three months will be his limit,â Amelia said.
âWhat if he insists on divorcing after three months?â Rosalie asked.
âThen I will divorce him,â Amelia said.
âWhat about your futureâ¦â Rosalie was shocked.
âI will raise Aiden and Zinnia alone. Maybe this is my destiny. I was destined to lose Warren, but in these three months, I want to try hard again. I donât want to regret it in the future,â Amelia said.
Thinking of Ameliaâs determined look on the video, Rosalie sighed again. Then she went to the childrenâs book section and picked up several books and some stationery. When she was about to check out, she saw Calvin.
Calvin was looking around as if he was looking for something.
As if Calvin felt Rosalieâs gaze, he looked over. Then he calmed down and stared straight at Rosalie.
Calvinâs eyes immediately made Rosalie understand that he must be looking for her just now.
After a pause, Calvin strode towards Rosalie.
âYouâre really here!â Calvin stood in front of Rosalie.
âAre you looking for me?â Rosalie was a little surprised.
âPassing by the bookstore, I saw your car outside and came in to try my gar luck,â Calvin said, glancing at the books and stationery in Rosalieâs hands. âWhy did you buy theseâ¦â
âTheyâre for Aiden,â Rosalie said as she walked to the cashier.
Calvin knew Aiden, so he didnât say anything. He followed Rosalie, staring at her slightly bulged abdomen. It seemed that he was thinking about something.
When Rosalie finished paying the bill and walked to the door of the bookstore, she said to Calvin, âIf you have nothing else, I gotta go now. Bye!â
âWait!â Calvin couldnât help but stop Rosalie.
âWhat?â Rosalie stopped and turned to look at Calvin.
âDo you really have to give birth to this child?â Calvin asked in a low voice.
Hearing this, Rosalie smiled and said, âIf I can give birth to a healthy baby, why shouldnât I?â
Calvin couldnât help but say, âBut the price you have to pay for giving birth to itâ¦â
âThe baby wonât cost my life,â Rosalie interrupted Calvin. âLook, my health may be slightly affected, but I can have a baby. I think itâs worth it.â
Calvin looked at Rosalie blankly and murmured after a while, âIf Jonathan was the one who advised you today, would you be so stubborn?â
âIf it was him, he wouldnât persuade me,â Rosalie said.
Calvin smiled bitterly and said, âBecause he knows you, right?â
Rosalie didnât speak, but her expression meant that her answer was âyesâ.
Calvin showed a sadder look and said, âYeah. I donât understand you. No⦠I never understand you.â
If Calvin really understood Rosalie, how could he recognize her so late? How could he believe someone else when Rosalie needed help most?
It was because Calvin didnât understand Rosalie that he had missed her!
âCalvin, donât be so obsessed. If you can let it go, you will have a new start. I believe that you will meet a woman who really deserves your love,â Rosalie said.
âBut that woman is not you. Is that what you mean?â Calvinâs voice was hoarse.
âYes, that woman will not and should not be me. If you really wish me happy, you should let me go. I donât want Jonathan to misunderstand us,â Rosalie said.
It was not easy for Calvin to let Rosalie go! But looking at Rosalieâs happy life now, Calvin said, âOkay, Iâll let you go.â
If this was the way to make Rosalie happy, Calvin would try his best to do it.
No matter how unwilling he was and even if he had to pretend to be fine, Calvin would do it for Rosalie.
Looking at Calvinâs faint smile, Rosalie suddenly felt sad. But the next moment, Calvin passed her and got into a nearby car.
The car slowly drove away, and Rosalie lowered her head.
She couldnât give Calvin any response after all, because the person she loved was never him.
Rosalie went to the concession stand and gave Aiden all the stationery and books. Then she returned to the Youngblood residence.
Back in the bedroom, Rosalie was going to change into her pajamas. The next moment, Jonathanâs arms wrapped around her body from behind, and he kissed her neck.
Rosalie smelled Jonathanâs smell and was stunned. âJonathan!â she shouted.
He was the only one who could do such a thing to Rosalie in the Youngblood residence.
âYeahâ¦â Jonathan gently responded to Rosalie. He turned her body around and kissed her lips. His passionate kiss made Rosalie almost breathless.
After a while, Jonathan stopped and held Rosalie tightly in his arms. âIf you werenât pregnant now, I wouldâ¦â
Jonathan didnât finish his words, but his meaning was obvious.
Rosalie blushed and said, âWhy did you suddenlyâ¦â Suddenly, she seemed to think about something and asked, âDid you know I met Calvin today?â
Rosalie knew that Jonathan had arranged bodyguards to protect her in the dark.
âYeah, Iâve known it!â Jonathan said in a low voice.
âJonathan, Calvin and I⦠We just had a few words, andâ¦â
âAnd what?â Jonathan asked.
âMaybe heâll let me go.â Rosalie thought of Calvinâs last words today..
Although Calvin said so in a calm tone, Rosalie could feel how determined he was when he said those words.
âMaybe?â Jonathan snorted lightly and then kissed Rosalie more passionately. âEven if he canât let you go, he wonât have any chances.. Rosalie, you are mine and will always be mine!â
