“Do you forgive me?” Lorin had a rare eagerness in his eyes.

“I heard your apology, but it doesn’t mean I have forgiven you. I am not that generous. I can’t forgive someone who hurt me, especially a man who tried to hurt me as a chip to please another woman.”
