“It’s just that, who would do this?” The first person Rosalie thought of was Calvin.

After all, Calvin had every reason to delete these videos. Moreover, it was not easy for anyone to delete all the relevant content so quickly.

On the other hand, Jonathan was in front of the computer. He watched the video playing on the screen with a vicious look in his eyes.

Carlos peeked at Jonathan terrifyingly. When he was silent like this, his gloomy face made people feel scared.

“Jonathan has watched this video so many times but he still keeps staring at it. It’s not what I think it is, right?” Carlos didn’t dare to continue thinking about it.

After all, if Jonathan got furious, the whole Strico would be thoroughly affected.

“Don’t spare anyone who has troubled Rosalie today,” Jonathan instructed.

“What if she is not my girlfriend? Will she fall for Calvin?” It seemed that Jonathan wanted to force out an answer from him.

“How would I know such things?” Carlos exclaimed inwardly. But since it was Jonathan who asked the question, he had no choice but to answer, “In my opinion, I think Ms. Leighton is actually quite conservative about feelings. Once she has fallen in love, she’ll not change her feelings easily.”

“You think so? But she used to be Zachary’s girlfriend,” Jonathan countered coldly.

Carlos was about to cry. He felt that he was really struggling as a secretary. “Ms. Leighton and Zachary’s relationship is in the past now. Since Ms. Leighton was betrayed by Zachary, there will naturally be no more feelings now.”

“Betrayed?” Jonathan raised his eyebrows slightly.

“Don’t you think so? Zachary broke up with Ms. Leighton when she needed his help the most. Isn’t that considered a betrayal?” Carlos stated, “The Ms. Leighton I know will never forgive those who betrayed her.”

Jonathan’s face darkened abruptly after hearing Carlos’ statement. His thin lips almost pursed into a line. “If what Zachary did was considered betrayal, how about all the things I’ve done to Rosie then?”

His heart felt so heavy, as if he was pressured by something until he almost couldn’t breathe.

Jonathan raised his hand and wanted to take a sip of water from the glass. However, when he was picking up the glass, he noticed his hands were actually trembling violently.

No, not only his hands were trembling, but his whole body was shaking.

He couldn’t hold the glass properly. In an instant, it slipped from his hand and fell onto the table. The water spilled all over the table.

Carlos was startled and suddenly as if he had realized something, his face turned a bit worried.

Jonathan looked down at the spilled water in front of him. After a while, he suddenly yelled, “Carlos, get out!”

“Okay,” Carlos replied and hurried out of the room.

Jonathan took a deep breath and leaned against the chair hard. His trembling hand was covering his face until the corners of his mouth could be seen only. Nevertheless, he was smiling.

Jonathan started chuckling at first. Then, he was laughing out loud and eventually, he was choking with laughter.

“If I had known the decision I made would make her suffer so much, I wouldn’t have done it anyway. If Rosalie knows what I did then, will she think that I betrayed her too?” Jonathan wondered.

When he thought of this possibility, his body seemed to tremble even more violently.

“There are only a few people who really knew what happened back then. As long as they don’t say anything, Rosalie will never know the truth,” Jonathan comforted himself.

“Rosalie, please forgive me,” he murmured, suppressing a deep pain in his voice.

“No matter how much I do to make up for it, I’m not able to compensate you for the hardships you suffered then. If I had known that I would love you so much, I wouldn’t have let you suffer at all!” he exclaimed inwardly.

When Rosalie returned to the Youngblood residence and entered the main building, it was dark inside.

As she was about to turn on the lights, someone suddenly hugged her from behind. She instantly fell into a familiar embrace.

The familiar smell made her know exactly who was hugging her.
