Chapter 281
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
âIs this childâ¦â Warren asked.
âWell, heâs my friendâs son,â Rosalie replied vaguely. She didnât want to tell Warren that Aiden was Ameliaâs son. âThank for taking care of him.â She thanked him.
âNever mind,â Warren said. He couldnât help but look at the little boy hugging Rosalieâs leg.
you In the restroom, Warren saw this little boy looking for something desperately. Nervousness, anxiety, and fear were written all over his face. Warren couldnât help but stop in his tracks.
To be honest, Warren wasnât a busybody. When he saw this boy, he couldnât help but wonder why he was nervous and scared.
To Warrenâs shock, the boy couldnât hear him. He babbled a few words but Warren couldnât understand him at all.
Just when he thought that there was no way to communicate with the boy, the boy surprised him again.
Warren didnât expect that he could write.
To his surprise, the boy could write some complex words to express himself in addition to simple ones.
Warren couldnât help but marvel at the boy. Meanwhile, he also felt pity for him because such a smart child was born deaf.
Then he helped the boy find his lost cochlear implant in the restroom.
When the boy was holding the cochlea implant again, he smiled happily. His smile made Warren think of a woman.
Warren felt so ridiculous. How could a strange boyâs smile make him think of that woman? He had been looking for her for a year and still hadnât found her.
He previously thought it would be easy for him to find that woman after she was released from prison.
However, he couldnât find her whereabouts at all.
Warren also didnât expect Jonathan to come with this boy today.
At that moment, another voice sounded. âWarren, why are you still here?â
Warren turned around and smiled at the woman who walked towards him. âSomething held me up. It has been solved now.â
Rosalie had mixed feelings when she looked at the woman in front of her. The woman looked stunning in a beige dress and a pair of high heels decorated with crystals. Her long and straight hair fell over her shoulders, making her face look even smaller. She looked frail and delicate which made men want to protect her.
Rosalie remembered seeing this womanâs face when she read Ameliaâs case files and watched the news. Amelia was sentenced to prison because of this woman back then.
This woman was Irene Fletcher, Warrenâs fiancée.
After learning about the relationship between Amelia and Warren, she deliberately searched for information about Warren. on the Internet. It was widely spread that Warren and Irene would get married soon.
Amelia gave birth to Warrenâs child but went to jail because of his testimony. But now, Warren was about to marry another Woman.
She thought, âMs. Haab must have watched the news. How did she feel while watching them?â
Irene walked to Warren, took his arm intimately, and then surveyed Rosalie, Jonathan, and Aiden.
âThis is Mr. Jonathan Youngblood and his girlfriend Ms. Rosalie Leighton.â Warren introduced them to Irene.
Irene greeted them with a smile. âNice to meet you, Mr. Youngblood and Ms. Leighton. Iâm Irene Fletcher, Warrenâs fiancée.â
âMr. Youngblood, Iâm afraid I have to go now. See you next time,â Warren said.
âSee you!â Jonathan replied with a half smile.
After Warren and Irene left, Jonathan turned to Rosalie. âWell, we have already found Aiden. Why are you still worried?â
âThe man is Warren Bates. Heâs Aidenâs father,â Rosalie replied.
âSo what?â Jonathan asked indifferently.
âAiden is his son, but he had no idea about it,â Rosalie sighed, her tone full of sadness.
She found Aiden looked a bit similar to Warren when she took a closer look at their faces.
âWell, donât get so emotional. Itâs between Warren and Amelia. We have no right to interfere,â Jonathan reminded her.
Rosalie nodded and looked down at Aiden. Because Aiden didnât wear his cochlear implant now, she didnât need to worry that Aiden would hear their conversation.
The three of them returned to the lounge. After saying goodbye to Dominic, Rosalie and Jonathan walked out of the side door again.
Rosalie didnât know how to help Aiden wear his cochlear implant back, so she put it away first.
âWould you like something to eat?â Jonathan asked.
Only then did Rosalie realize that it was too late. No wonder she was hungry. Aiden must have felt even hungrier, but he never complained.
âSorry, Aiden. You must be very hungry. Let me take you to dinner now, okay?â Rosalie said to Aiden in sign language.
Aiden nodded vigorously.
Rosalie vaguely remembered a family-friendly restaurant nearby that was popular among mothers, so she said to Jonathan, âHow about we go to a popular family restaurant nearby? I saw it online. It has nice ratings and positive reviews.â
âSure,â Jonathan agreed gladly.
So Rosalie took out her phone and Googled the family restaurant. It was pretty close, only a mile away from where they were noW.
Therefore, they went to the restaurant on foot.
The restaurantâs decor and environment were child-friendly as if it were a small amusement park.
The whole restaurant was divided into a dining area and a childrenâs play area. There were slides, an ocean ball pool, a sand area, trampolines in the childrenâs play area, as well as numerous building blocks, rocking horses, and other toys. Generally speaking, children could both dine and have fun here.
The paintings on the walls, dinnerware, and showcases in the dining area were all childlike. The paintings depicted fairy tales and fables. Parents could tell their children those stories while eating.
