Chapter 307
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
Jonathan wanted to hear Rosalieâs voice. He would feel at ease after hearing Rosalieâs voice!
Rosalieâs ringtone sounded on the phone. A few moments later, someone answered the call. But, out of Jonathanâs expectation, it was a manâs voice.
âJonathan?â
It was Calvinâs voice.
Jonathanâs heart skipped a beat, and he said mechanically, âYes. Why did you answer the phone?â
âShe is changing clothes, leaving her phone and bag outside. Iâll tell her later and ask her to call you back. Is that OK?â Calvin said.
âThere is no need.â Jonathan hung up directly.
Calvin lowered his head after hanging up. Then he looked at the phone in his hand.
Rosalie named Jonathan Jon in her number list. When Calvin saw that it was a call from Jonathan, he answered it directly.
Usually, he would not answer othersâ phones.
But just now⦠he did it because it was a call from Jonathan.
Calvin thought that Jonathan would never fall in love with any woman. But finally, Jonathan fell in love with a woman that Calvin was also interested in.
But finally, he had to give up. It was not because he dared not argue with Jonathan.
It was because the woman he wanted wasnât Rosalie.
But every time he saw Rosalie, he seemed to be attracted by her.
Gradually, Calvin recalled Rosalieâs voice and appearance frequently. When he looked at his bracelet, he couldnât help but recall Rosalieâs face.
It seemed that he had been bewitched by her.
Calvin smiled bitterly after thinking of this. He rubbed his forehead and thought, âWhatâs wrong with me? She is Jonathanâs girlfriend. Why do I want to approach her?â
At that moment, the door of the dressing room opened. Rosalie came out from inside. She wore a floral dress.
Calvin narrowed his eyes when he saw this.
When Rosalie chose the floral dress, Calvin did not notice it much. But when Rosalie appeared in front of him with that dress, he seemed to see the little girl appear in front of him.
That little girl also wore a floral dress, carrying him down the mountain with great effort.
The thorns on the way pierced her dress.
He knew that she loved the dress very much. She said it was a gift from her grandmother. So he said that he would buy her many beautiful dresses in the future.
Over the years, he would buy beautiful dresses. He expected that he could give her those dresses when he met her in the future.
Year after year, he even needed to buy an apartment for the dresses he had bought.
He bought all kinds of dresses at any age. He would even buy all sizes of the same dress.
Every time he bought a new dress, he would go to the apartment and put it in place himself.
He would think about how beautiful she would be when she put on the dress.
However, he had never been as shocked as he felt. The woman in front of him wore an ordinary and cheap dress, and she walked slowly to the mirror, but he was so shocked.
Rosalie stood in front of the mirror and looked at the dress. She loved the dress at first glance. The dress looked like the floral dress her grandma had bought her when she was young.
Unfortunately, that floral dress was torn, so she threw it away.
Back then, she even cried for it.
Fortunately, the dress was relatively long. Others could not see anything when she was riding her electric scooter. Rosalie looked at the price, and it was 56 dollars. She could bargain with the owner of such a store, and then she would pay with a lower price.
âMiss, howâs it? Do you like it?â the shopkeeper stepped forward and asked.
âNot bad, but can you give me another discount?â Rosalie asked.
âWell⦠It was already very cheap. As for the priceâ¦â Before the shopkeeper finished her words, she suddenly lost her tone. She looked behind Rosalie in a daze.
Rosalie was stunned for a moment. Before she could figure out what happened, a man had already put his arms on her waist. The man stayed so close to her.
âAre you that girl?â Calvinâs voice sounded in her ear.
Rosalie was stunned and wanted to push Calvin away.
But Calvin hugged her tightly. He put his head on Rosalieâs neck and murmured, âAre you that girl? Are you that girl? You are that girl, right?â
âCalvin, let go of me. I donât know what you are talking about!â Rosalie didnât understand why Calvin suddenly hugged her. He did that a few days ago when he was drunk.
But the problem was that he was not drunk now!
âYou⦠are that girl, right? Otherwise, why did you look like her so much⦠Why⦠Why do you give me such a feeling?â Calvin murmured as if the person he had been looking for appeared in front of him.
âI donât know what you are talking about, but youâd better let go of me right now. Or-â
âOr what?â Calvin suddenly laughed ridiculously, âI have let go of my hand many times. I shouldnât let you go at all!â
At that moment, the shopkeeper was completely dumbfounded. She didnât understand what was going on between Rosalie and Calvin.
Calvin hugged Rosalie tightly. And he even choked.
âCalvin, you must have mistaken me for someone else. Iâm not the one you are looking for!â Rosalie recalled what Jonathan had told her. Calvin was looking for a girl.
âIf you are not that girl, why did you choose this dress?â Calvin said in a low voice.
When Rosalie put on this dress, he seemed to have seen the little girl back then. That little girl had grown up, and she stood in front of him with another floral dress, smiling.
He had seen this scene in his dream.
âI just like this dress. Thereâs no reason,â Rosalie said.
But no matter how hard she tried, she couldnât push Calvin away.
At that moment, Calvin thought Rosalie was that little girl. He hugged Rosalie tightly and murmured, âTell me that you are that girl, the person Iâve been looking for! Do you know how long Iâve been looking for you? I let go of your hand that day, and do you know how regretful I am?
