Chapter 335
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
Jonathan looked at Calvin and Fiona beside him. His eyes narrowed and then he smiled. Then he put one arm around Rosalieâs shoulders and said to Calvin, âCalvin, I didnât expect to see you here.â
Calvin finally turned to look at Jonathan and said, âI havenât seen you for some time.â
And Sarah, who was about to cry and complain to her daughter, was stunned to see this scene. Then she said in a daze, âDo you know each other?â
Hearing this, Calvin looked at Jonathan thoughtfully and asked, âWhat? Donât they know who you are?â
âI think so.â Jonathan said. âIâm not as high-profile as you are, But I am quite curious about why you are here withâ¦â He glanced at Fiona standing beside Calvin. â⦠with this woman? They said that this woman had a backer. Thatâs you, right?â
Calvinâs expression was complicated, and then he glanced at Rosalie in the wedding dress again.
Calvinâs heart began to throb again as if it was telling him that everything he thought was just his own fantasy. It was like a dream.
Calvin desperately hoped Rosalie to be the one he was looking for.
But⦠when Calvin looked into it with Rosalieâs past, he got another fact.
âFiona is the one Iâve been looking for,â said Calvin.
Rosalie was stunned. She understood Calvinâs words. In the past, Calvin had mistaken her and even cried in front of her. Rosalie could understand how persistent he was in finding that person.
Rosalie thought, âAnd Fiona⦠is the person Calvin was looking for? The little girl back then?!â
Rosalie suddenly felt that the world was really small.
âCongratulations,â Jonathan smiled and said, but he looked at Fiona contemptuously.
Jonathan thought, âSure enough, humans are so greedy. She isnât that person but she just insists on lying.â
What Jonathan did was to let every piece of evidence lead to Fiona and show that she was the one Calvin was looking for. But if Calvin really found Fiona and she said it honestly, Calvin would not mistake her.
But obviously, Fiona took the opportunity and pretended to be that person.
Of course, it was the result Jonathan wanted to see.
Fiona felt uncomfortable when Jonathan looked at her like that as if Jonathan could know all the truth.
Fiona thought, âNo, this man doesnât know anything at all! He wonât know!â
Fiona comforted herself in her mind and then asked Calvin, âCalvin, who is he?â
âHe is Jonathan Youngblood,â said Calvin.
When Rosalieâs relatives heard Jonathanâs name, they were all stunned.
Even if they just lived in a small town, they had also heard the name of Jonathan Youngblood, the big shot in Strico.
And Fiona felt shocked the most.
These days, Fiona had been to Strico with Calvin, so she naturally knew what the word-Jonathan-
represented.
Fiona thought, âAnd Jonathan is⦠my cousinâs boyfriend! Wasnât Rosalie a prisoner before? How could she get such a boyfriend?! And not only Jonathan, but alsoâ¦â
Fiona glanced at Calvin next to her, forced herself to calm down, and then forced out a smile. âMr.
Youngblood! Rosalie, why didnât you tell us that your boyfriend was Mr. Jonathan Youngblood the last time you brought him back? Weâre a family.â
Sarah also hurriedly smiled and said, âAlas, Rosalie. Youâre so lucky to be able to have Mr. Youngblood as your boyfriend! Your grandmother will also rest in peace if she knows it. Daniel, Edward, what are you waiting for? Apologize to Rosalie! What you did last time was too inhuman!â/
Sarahâs attitude had completely changed.
Daniel and Edward looked at each other. âThey were not as arrogant as before. They hurriedly apologized to Rosalie with a smile and said that they were sorry, but they did that for her, and so on.
Rosalie had no feelings about her unclesâ apology at all.
Now Rosalie just hoped that her relatives wouldnât make a scene and gave her grandma a peaceful funeral.
The funeral staff came over, put on the grave clothes for Wilma, and then put her body into a refrigerated transparent coffin. Looking at Wilma who looked as if she was sleeping in the transparent coffin, Rosalie burst into tears again.
âGrandma!â Rosalie said.
But the old woman in the transparent coffin couldnât answer her anymore.
Jonathan held Rosalie. At this moment, he knew that she almost lost the strength to stand firm.
Wilmaâs body and coffin were transported back to the Lopez family first. According to custom, they had to be put at home for three days before cremation.
In the Lopez residence, the funeral company had set up everything.
The neighbors and relatives in the town also knew that Wilma had passed away, so they came here to condole. The people of the Lopez family all went to treat them.
But Rosalie just grabbed a chair and sat next to the transparent coffin. She looked at the old woman in it silently. When someone came to see Wilma, Rosalie would, stand up and bow.
After a long while, Jonathan walked to Rosalie with a set of clothes and shoes in his hand. âTake off the wedding dress first. Itâs not convenient.â
Rosalie looked up at Jonathan. He would always consider everything for her.
Rosalie nodded and went into the bathroom with her clothes to get changed.
When Rosalie finished and came out, Jonathan looked at her red and swollen eyes and said, âDonât be too sad. Your grandma must not want to see you so sad.â
âGrandma.. was really nice to me,â Rosalie said depressedly. âGrandma used to take good care of me when I was here. Even if I wanted an expensive new dress, she would still buy it for meâ¦
Jonathan suddenly interrupted Rosalie. âAlright, I know how important your grandma is to you. Rosalie, I will be nicer to you in the future, and treat you better than anyone else in the world.â
Jonathan glanced at Calvin and Fiona who were walking towards him.
Fiona saw that Rosalie had taken off the wedding dress, and the clothes she was wearing now were also from luxury brands. Fiona had seen them in magazines before. But when she asked about them, the saleswoman said they were limited editions, so even if she booked them, she might still not be able to get them.
