Chapter 466
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
âThen whatâs my position in her heart? Is this uncomfortable feeling a kind of jealousy?â Jonathan asked himself.
âIf something hadnât happened to her, would you have thought to contact me at all?â He stared at Rosalie.
She was silent and didnât say anything. However, the expression on her face explained everything already.
There was tension in the air.
Fortunately, the restaurant staff began to serve at this moment.
Delicate dishes appeared on the table, looking like delicacies in food posters.
But now, Rosalie had no desire to eat at all. The only thing on her mind now was her concern for Amelia and Aiden.
Rosalie remembered the last time Amelia was injured and hospitalized. She couldnât imagine what would happen if Warren decided to fight her over Aiden.
Warren hadnât even known that Aiden existed back then. Amelia had hurt herself just to not be involved with Warren. Rosalie didnât dare to imagine what would happen this time.
âLetâs eat first.â Jonathanâs cold voice sounded. He picked up the fork in front of him and put some food onto Rosalieâs plate. âTry this. It is tasty.â
âCan you help me bring Amelia and Aiden out first?â Rosalie asked again, âJonathan, please. Iâm begging you. I really fear that something will happen to Amelia.â
âBeg?â He smiled gently. âThis is the second time you have used this word with me today.â
She bit her lips and smiled bitterly. She didnât even expect that she would say this word to him after their breakup.
âYou donât have to beg me, actually,â he uttered in a low voice. âI can help you once, but it doesnât mean that I will help you the second time.â
Her face turned pale and she stopped breathing.
Jonathan continued, âBut you have a choice.â
âA choice?â
âYes. You have a choice whether to be a stranger to me or to be my Rosie.â He smiled as if he was welcoming her into the trap he had been setting up all along.
Rosalieâs body shivered. âRosie. Why is it Rosie again? I once thought that I would be his Rosie forever. I could protect him, care for him, regard him as a brother, as a family member! But now, how can I be his Rosie again?â she exclaimed inwardly.
âIf you choose to be a stranger to me, Iâve already done all I can for you the last time I helped you.
However, if you choose to be Rosie again, thenâ¦â
He elongated his pause. âIâll promise to do whatever you want me to do for you.â
His words were like the most tempting enchantment, attracting her to agree with him.
Rosalie wanted to laugh, but she felt miserable in her heart.
He didnât want to love her, so he wanted to break up with her. But now, he repeatedly asked her to become Rosie. She couldnât understand why he insisted on breaking up with her, and was forced to accept her role as Rosie.
It was contradictory and ridiculous.
âWhat about you? How will you choose? Are you going to be a stranger, or are you going to be Rosie?â
Jonathan stared at Rosalie while asking.
She looked at his gorgeous eyes. She could even see her own face from the reflection in his eyes.
âHe once said that one day, Iâll beg him to be his Rosie. Sure enough, what he said really comes true!â
Rosalie told herself. Taking a deep breath, she uttered, âI-Iâll be Rosie. So can you bring Amelia and Aiden who are with Warren to me now? Then, send someone to protect them. At least Warren wonât be able to touch them easily!â
It was her decision. She was willing to become Jonathanâs Rosie in exchange for Amelia and Aidenâs safety.
Amelia helped Rosalie a lot whenever she faced problems. As for Aiden, he was just too pure, Rosalie couldnât help but want to protect him!
âOkay.â Jonathan smiled satisfyingly. He took out his phone and called Carlos. After he finished giving orders, he looked at Rosalie. âAll done.â
âHow long will it take to know if Amelia and Aiden have left safely or not?â she asked.
âIt shouldnât be long. All right Rosie. Letâs finish our dinner first,â he instructed gently while grinning. It was just like how they interacted back then.
Rosalieâs whole body trembled. She picked up the fork stiffly and started eating.
She put the exquisite and delicious food into her mouth, but it tasted bland to her. At this moment, she was only thinking of Amelia and Aiden. She hoped that Amelia would not do anything excessive to hurt herself.
Jonathan didnât say anything anymore. He just picked up some food and put it on her plate from time to time.
It was completely silent on the whole third floor, except for the sound of two people eating.
Suddenly, Jonathanâs phone rang. Rosalie was shocked and looked straight at his phone.
Jonathan answered the call and turned on the speaker. Rosalie could hear Carlosâ voice at that moment.
âMr. Youngblood, weâve taken Amelia and Aiden away from Warren,â Carlos reported.
âDid they get hurt?â Rosalie asked anxiously.
âNo, they donât have any external injuries. However, Ms. Amelia Haab is a little emotionally unstable. I am afraid she needs a good rest,â Carlos replied.
âSend someone to protect them and tell Warren that as long as Amelia and Aiden are in Strico, no one can touch them,â Jonathan ordered.
âUnderstood!â Carlos responded.
After the call ended, Jonathan looked up at Rosalie. âAre you satisfied with the way I handled this?â)
Rosalie finally breathed a sigh of relief. Amelia was not injured, and Jonathan had asked Carlos to warn Warren. It must be safe for Amelia and Aiden to stay in Strico..
âThank you,â Rosalie said.
Jonathan raised his eyebrows slightly. âHave you forgotten? You are my Rosie. Itâs natural that Iâll do anything for you, so you donât have to thank me at all.â
Rosalie gasped and then lowered her head. She didnât want to look Jonathan in the eye.
âYes, Iâm his Rosie now!â she screamed inwardly. It was different from before. Currently, it was as though she was captured by his net and trapped inside. She had no chance to break free.
After dinner, Jonathan sent Rosalie back to her rental home. âDo you want to continue staying here or go back to the Youngblood residence?â
Rosalieâs body stiffened. There were all sorts of sweet memories of them together in the Youngblood residence. Nevertheless, the sweeter the memory, it would be more painful for her if she were to go back there!
âIâll just live here. Iâm used to living at this place these days.â
âThen Iâll ask my men to move some of my things here later.â
