Chapter 533
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
Not to mention, most of those boy groups were from agencies under the Gunner Group.
Although Lillian always said Callum was the most handsome and best-looking man and that she was head over heels for him, it did not stop her from watching the videos with those boy groups. Thus, Callum could not help but feel annoyed..
Callum thought of stopping Liliam from watching those videos, but she would always put up a pitiful face when he did, saying that was the only fun she had left. Thus, Callum could not bring himself to force her.
With that, Callum felt that he was all wrapped around Lillianâs finger.
âI had no idea Mr. White is also interested in this kind of thing,â Calvin said.
Callumâs mouth twitched and replied, âI just thought there are too many boy groups around, and they are more or less similar. Maybe your company can consider making more girl groups.â
In reality, Callum knew Lillian was not interested in women. Thus, there would be no problem no matter how many girl groups there were.
Calvin raised his eyebrows. It seemed he was surprised that Callum would say so.
âIt seems Mr. White cares a lot about the entertainment industry. Could it be thereâs a girl group that youâre interested in?â Before Callum could speak, Lillianâs voice had already sounded. âHey, Callum, which girl group are you interested in? Why didnât I hear you mention it?â
Callum could feel a headache coming at the sound of that. Not wanting to be a laughingstock, he said, âDonât you want to meet some celebrities tonight? I just saw a few of them. Do you want me to bring you to them?â/
âHuh? Who are they?â Lillianâs eyes lit up immediately. Then, she gestured at Rosalie to see the latter later before quickly following behind Callum to meet the celebrities.
After all, that was Lillianâs main purpose in coming to that charity gala that day.
Meanwhile, Rosalie walked to Calvin and said, âYou.. Um. You donât have to worry about me. Iâll be here by myself.â
âIâm free anyway, so Iâll accompany you here. By the way, is your friend a fangirl?â said Calvin.
âYeah.â Speaking of Lillian, Rosalie couldnât help but smile.
Calvin felt a little jealous as he looked at that smiling face. He could tell that Lillian was very important to Rosalie. At the same time, he wondered when Rosalie would smile for him.
âWill you smile for me one day?â Those words came out of Calvinâs mouth lightly.
âWhat?â Rosalie didnât realize what Calvin meant.
âNothing,â Calvin replied faintly.
At that moment, a figure suddenly rushed over and said, âCalvin, didnât you say youâre not coming today? How comeâ¦â
Fiona was halfway through her sentence when she saw the person standing next to Calvin was Rosalie. Instantly, Fionaâs words got stuck in her throat.
âRosalie, why are you here with Calvin?â asked Fiona as she stared at Rosalie. Fionaâs gaze was filled with jealousy when she saw the purple gown that Rosalie was wearing.
It turned out that Fiona had her eyes on that gown previously. She even once mentioned it to Calvin to gift it to her, but he didnât. Instead, he bought her another purple dress.
Even though the other one that Calvin gifted Fiona was also expensive, she still felt upset about that purple gown.
Little did Fiona expect that the purple gown would end up on Rosalie.
Standing in that gown and complimented with exquisite makeup, Rosalie seemed like a socialite.
In contrast, although Fiona tried hard to take care of herself recently and found a good makeup artist to do her makeup and style her, there were still people who secretly mocked her for being like a country bumpkin. It was as though some things could not be hidden no matter how much money one had.
She thought, âWhy is there such a big difference? We clearly looked like each other when we were little. People would even mistake us as twins sometimes when we were out. I would not have been able to cheat Calvin with the childhood photos if that wasnât the case.
Yet, Rosalie and I looked less like each other as we got older. Rosalie had become more and more beautiful while I become more and more ordinary. My eyes are not as big as Rosalieâs. My nose is not as straight as hers. Even my skin is not as nice as hers!â
Thinking of that, the hatred in Fionaâs heart grew.
âCanât I come here with him?â Rosalie asked Fiona with amusement.
After all, Fiona looked at Rosalie like the latter had stolen something from her. Fiona looked at Rosalie as though the latter was a robber.
Yet, who was the robber?
âSome people think they own the things theyâve stolen after they had it for a long time,â thought Rosalie.
Meanwhile, Fiona was stunned. However, she immediately returned to her senses when she caught a glimpse of Calvinâs slightly darkened face from the corner of her eyes.
After all, Rosalie had recovered her memories. Thus, Fiona was worried Rosalie would tell the truth if she provoked the latter. Even though Fiona had already thought of how she would refute that and make Calvin think Rosalie was lying, it was still unnecessary trouble.
Especially now that Calvin still loved Rosalie.
Fiona smiled awkwardly and said to Rosalie, âHow could that be? I-Iâm just wondering. After all, when I mentioned this charity to Calvin before, he said that he had an important business meeting to attend tonight and didnât have time to come here.â
Hearing that, Rosalie was stunned for a moment. She didnât expect Calvin to have plans that night.
However, Calvin agreed without hesitation when Rosalie asked him to bring her there. Upon that realization, Rosalie felt a weight on her chest.
âIt seems Iâm owing him more and more,â thought Rosalie.
âMr. Gunner.â Fionaâs manager came over and greeted Calvin. The manager brought Fiona to that banquet that day to make some acquaintances with some people in the entertainment industry since Calvin was busy.
After all, an artistâs own network was also important.
âBring Fiona around,â said Calvin.
However, Fiona approached Calvin herself and tried to hold onto his arm.
Sensing that, Calvin leaned sideways and avoided Fionaâs hand, leaving her hanging. Instantly, Fiona was embarrassed. âUhm⦠Calvin, why donât you bring me around and introduce me to some people? I will feel more at ease if you accompany me,â Fiona stammered with an innocent expression.
Meanwhile, Rosalie didnât bother to watch Fionaâs performance. Instead, she turned her head and continued to look around. Suddenly, she froze as she saw the person she wanted to meet that night.
It was Warren and Irene. They were there.
With that, Rosalie quickly turned to Calvin and said, âThe people Iâm looking for are here.â Then, she walked in the direction of Warren and Irene.
Watching Rosalie leave in such a hurry, Calvin felt a sudden sense of loss.
