Chapter 689
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
âNext weekend?â Amelia hesitated.
Rosalie asked, âWhatâs wrong with next weekend?â
âNext weekend, Warren might take Aiden to the amusement park,â Amelia replied. At least, that was the plan she had made with Warren for the upcoming weekend.
Hearing that, Aiden, who stood next to her, immediately exclaimed in excitement, âMommy, can Daddy really go to the amusement park with us?â
âYes.â Amelia gently stroked her sonâs head. Seeing his delighted expression, she felt that it was worthwhile, even if she believed her last shred of dignity was about to be crushed again.
Rosalie could not help but focus on the word âusâ that Aiden mentioned. She whispered to Amelia, âAre you going to the amusement park with Aiden and Warren?â
Amelia hummed in response before nodding. âWhen Aiden was at the kindergarten earlier, he said his wish was to go to the amusement park with his daddy and mommy. I want to make his wish come true.â
âBut your healthâ¦â
âIâll just accompany Aiden to the amusement park and watch him play. Iâll be fine,â she added.
Rosalie was soon to become a mother herself, so she could empathize with Ameliaâs feelings at that moment. âMake sure to take care of your health. Donât hesitate to call me if you need anything.â
âSure,â she replied with a grin.
Looking at the smile on her face, Rosalie had no idea how Amelia had managed to convince Warren to go to the amusement park, but she knew it was not an easy task.
Back at the Youngblood residence, Rosalie was still feeling somber. After seeing Jonathan, she hugged him and asked, âHow about we take our children to the amusement park when theyâre old enough?â
Jonathan raised his eyebrows slightly. âWhy do you suddenly think of this?â
âI visited Amelia today, and she told me that she learned Aidenâs wish was to go to the amusement park with both his parents. Since Aiden was born, he has never been to the amusement park with his mom and dad. Despite Amelia giving Aiden all her love, and even though Warren was a jerk, Aiden felt it was important to spend time with them,â Rosalie explained.
Jonathan held Rosalieâs hand and gently kissed her fingertips. âWe wonât be like them,â he vowed. âWe can take our children to the amusement park every month.â
âOkay, weâll do that once a month.â Rosalie smiled. âIâm sure youâll be a good 09:36 daddy in the future.â
He inquired, âHow are you planning to reward me for being a good daddy, then?â- âWhat reward do you want?â she asked back.
Jonathan responded, âSpend the whole day with me tomorrow, okay?â
âTomorrow is your birthday. Of course, Iâll spend the whole day with you,â she said, gently cupping his handsome face. âWell, Iâll grant you three wishes. As long as I can make them come true, Iâll do it, okay?â
His eyes suddenly darkened, and he seemed to look at her in a daze.
âWhatâs the matter? Donât you like what I said?â Rosalie was confused. She had thought he would be happy with her proposal.
âNothing.â His eyelashes fluttered slightly, and he replied with a grin, âI like it very much. Iâll just need some time to think about which three wishes to make.â
Jonathan cherished every one of the three wishes deeply.
The following morning, as Rosalie slowly opened her eyes, the first sight that greeted her was Jonathanâs handsome face.
Even though she would gaze upon his face every day, she would still find herself in awe of his striking appearance.
It was peculiar that she did not experience those emotions when she gazed at exceptionally handsome male celebrities. Even those who garnered widespread female admiration would, in her eyes, initially appear astonishingly good-looking, but after observing them for some time, they would gradually become ordinary to her.
Yet, for some reason, she never seemed to tire of looking at Jonathan.
âGood morning. Happy birthday!â she greeted him.
Flashing a grin, he responded, âGood morning.â
âYou donât have to go to the company today, right?â she asked, watching him take his clothes out of the wardrobe and put them on.
Every time she saw him dressed, it felt like watching a scene from a film unfolding before her eyes.
Even though they were already a married couple, and she had seen every inch of his body, she still could not help but blush and be mesmerized by it.
Jonathan, too, did not mind her appreciating his physique with a thorough gaze. Amelia could not help but ask, âJon, will our child look like you?â
After slipping into his shirt and fastening the buttons, he inquired, âWhy do you ask? Are you hoping our children will take after me?â
She hummed and nodded in agreement. âIt would be wonderful if our son takes after you. I bet heâd have all the girls swooning. And if we have a daughter, maybe sheâll have all the guys fighting for her.â
09:361 âBut I hope our child, whether a boy or girl, carries your traits,â he replied in a gentle tone.
âMe?â Rosalie quipped, âDonât you think it would be a pity if they look like me? Itâll be a waste if they donât inherit your gorgeous features.â
âGorgeous features?â he murmured, walked to the edge of the bed, leaned down, and stared at her with his hands on the edge of the bed. âTo me, youâre the most beautiful person!â
Boom!
Her face blushed involuntarily.
The words carried extra significance when spoken by a man of such striking beauty.
âY-You..â Rosalie stared at Jonathan with her eyes wide open, but was bereft of words.
The man chuckled and kissed her blushed cheeks before adopting a more serious expression.
âActually, itâs okay if the kids look like me, but I hope they donât inherit the shape of my eyes.â
She looked into his eyes and knew he uttered so because his eyes resembled his motherâs.
Therefore, he considered his eyes to be the most undesirable aspect of his appearance.
Nevertheless, to Rosalie, his eyes were exceptionally beautiful and held the most allure because she could always discern his tenderness and love in them.
âI-I like your eyes, Jon,â she said gently. âThey donât resemble anyone elseâs because theyâre your eyes and unique in their own ways. I love the way you look at me and smile. To me, theyâre absolutely beautiful.â
âUnique in their own ways?â he murmured.
âWell, today is your birthday, so cheer up. If we do end up having children with eyes like yours in the future, youâll still have to love them unconditionally!â She made her stance clear.
Hearing that, Jonathan could not help but grin as if his disdain for his eyes had lessened considerably due to her words. âOf course, Iâll love them unconditionally! Theyâre our children!â
