Chapter 781
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
When the kiss ended, Rosalie blushed and looked at Jonathan.
His black eyes seemed cold and dazed, and his eyes had a conflicted look. His face had no expression, but his lips were a little wet because of the kiss earlier, which made him look so dashing.
Rosalie wanted to kiss him again when she saw that.
âDo you know how good-looking you are? Do you know how attractive you are to women? Why do you think I donât love you deeply and am not enchanted by you? Do you not believe in yourself?â she asked.
As she spoke, her fingertips gently slid across his lips.
âYouâ¦â He suddenly grabbed her hand. Her action was quite charming. When he grabbed her fingers, he felt something was wrong with them. Only then did Jonathan notice her fingers were slightly deformed and didnât look good compared to normal people.
He looked heartbroken when he asked, âWhat happened to your fingers?â âNothing. I just got hurt in prison, and then my fingers became like this,â she answered flatly.
He fell silent. Rosalie lowered her head and looked at her hands. Then, she held Jonathanâs hand.
She held it tightly, and she lifted her gaze to stare at him.
âJon, I just want you to know that I love you very much. Back then, my leaving must have been a last resort, but even if I left, I would find my way back home to look for you. I will definitely not let you go in the future.â
Her voice was calm but assertive, and her eyes were as clear as crystal. He looked at her dazedly, wondering, âDid she mean it? Her eyes, her voice, and the kiss she just gave told me how much she loved me! What kind of feelings did I have for her back then? Although I could not remember it, my body seemed to have reacted in a certain way just now. It was as if I couldnât resist her approach and kiss. I felt like I was willing to let her do whatever she wanted to me as long as she wouldnât leave me!â
Jonathanâs thoughts stunned him, and his gaze deepened as he looked at Rosalie. âIf I had loved this woman before, I wouldnât have shut her out of 11101 my life now. Besides, we have two children together,â he thought.
Jonathan looked at Rosalie and said coldly, âDonât lie. You canât afford to lie to me!â
âEvery word Iâve said is true.â Rosalie didnât look perturbed.
âReally?â He smiled slightly and looked at the hand she was holding. âSince you have said that you wonât let go of me in the future, then if you let go again, not only will your fingers be deformed. You might even lose both your hands!â
His tone was casual, but his words were threatening and violent.
âOkay!â Rosalie replied. âI wonât let go. Even if these hands of mine are broken, I wonât let you go, but Jon, I hope one day youâll hold me as tight as I hold you. After all, these handsâ¦â
She shifted her gaze to their hands and continued, âThese hands will only hold each other tightly if both parties put effort into it.â
His fingers moved slightly, but suddenly, he had the urge to hold her hand.
Jonathan ate the food Rosalie had brought up for him. As he ate, she cupped her cheeks with both hands and looked at him smiling, which made him a little uncomfortable.
He had been stared at by women before, but being stared at like that made his blood flow speed up involuntarily. Never had a womanâs gaze made him feel that way before.
That night, Rosalie returned to her former bedroom, which was connected to Jonathanâs.
To her surprise, the room was still the same as when she had been there, and even the clothes in the closet were still there.
It could be seen that the room was clean and tidy.
Rosalie was exhausted from all that had happened that day, so she washed up with Jennifer and soon fell asleep.
Later that night, Jonathan approached the bedside. His dark eyes were looking at the sleeping Rosalie and Jennifer through the moonlight falling from the window.
The two faces looked similar.
Before that day, Jonathan never knew his wife Rosalie and his daughter Jennifer existed. But suddenly, they appeared in his life.
11:16 Jonathanâs gaze followed Rosalieâs face and fell on her hands exposed outside the quilt.
Rosalieâs hands were not beautiful. They even looked ugly because of the slight deformation of the bone joints. But his gaze seemed to look at those hands, and then there was an outbreak of pain in his heart.
Jonathan slowly leaned down and looked at Rosalieâs face again, whispering, âYou donât want me to let you go, do you? If this is the case, you wonât be able to leave me in the future. Even if you die, you can only die next to me. Are you sure you still want that?â
Rosalie was still asleep, but Jonathan just couldnât take his eyes off her.
The next day, when Jonathan went downstairs, he saw that only Guillermo and Jennifer were eating breakfast. Rosalie was busy serving them.
Rosalie looked up and saw Jonathan coming downstairs, so she said, âCome! Letâs have breakfast together. I was just about to go upstairs to get you.â
Jonathan looked at the breakfast on the table, which was different from usual. âWhatâs with todayâs breakfast?â
âMrs. Youngblood got up early in the morning to prepare it,â Gary explained.
Rosalie took the breakfast she had prepared for Jonathan and said, âLetâs see if it suits your taste.â
Jonathan stared at the food in front of him. It was a small cartoon-shaped bread with other ingredients that looked like an animal world. âIs Rosalie serious?â Jonathan thought.
