Chapter 807
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
âNo, weâre not having a baby. I was just playing with your daddy,â Rosalie replied awkwardly and then quickly changed the topic. âBy the way, hasnât Guille gone to an amusement park with your daddy before?â
âIâve been to the amusement park, but I have never gone there with Daddy,â Guillermo said.
Rosalie turned to look at Jonathan. âYou didnât go with him?â
âI asked the help to accompany him,â Jonathan said.
âBut arenât you concerned that Guille might get lost at the amusement park if the housekeeper neglects her duties?â Moreover, children would be happier when they visit an amusement park with their parents.
âHe wonât go missing,â Jonathan said with great certainty.
âHow can you be so sure?â
Then, Rosalie learned that Jonathan had actually reserved the entire amusement park for their use when Guillermo went there that day. Moreover, all the amusement park staff were dedicated solely to serving their son and the housekeeper who accompanied him.
Jonathan had even assigned ten bodyguards to ensure their sonâs safety in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
Given the circumstances, there was little room for anything to go wrong. Nevertheless, Rosalie was left absolutely speechless by the grandiose scale that Jonathan had orchestrated for a childâs trip to the amusement park.
In her opinion, having the whole amusement park to yourself was like playing a solo video game; not much happiness could be derived from the experience.
âGuille, do do you like to go to the amusement park?â Rosalie asked her son.
As expected, Guillermo shook his head and said, âItâs not fun.â He found enjoyment when he played the entertainment in the park for the first time, but he felt bored after the second go-around.
âThe amusement park is fun!â Jennifer exclaimed beside him, clearly in disagreement with her brother.
âMommy and I visit the amusement park near our house several times a year. The pirate ship there is a blast, but thereâs always a long line. Mommy only lets me ride it a maximum-of- two times each visit.â
10:23 Jennifer was clearly filled with remorse when she brought it up.
âIs it really fun?â Guillermo pondered, clearly perplexed. There were also pirate ships at the amusement park in Strico, and the housekeeper had taken him on the ride, but he had not found it interesting in the least.
âIf you like it, then let Daddy reserve the whole amusement park again. You can ride the pirate ship as many times as you want,â Guillermo said.
âIs that okay?â Jenniferâs eyes suddenly lit up as she looked at Jonathan expectantly.
Jonathan was about to say yes when Rosalie quickly said, âThen letâs go to the amusement park together. Thereâs no need to book the entire park. Think of it this way. If we reserve the whole amusement park, other children wonât have a chance to enjoy it that day. Do you want the amusement parkâs joy to be exclusively for you and not available to other kids?â
Jennifer immediately shook her head. When Guillermo saw her sister shaking her head, he also shook his head despite thinking there was nothing wrong. Since his sister wished for other children to have a chance to play, he was willing to share the enjoyment with them, too.
âOkay, thatâs it. Letâs go to the amusement park together this weekend,â Rosalie said with a smile..
Jennifer immediately cheered happily. Although Guillermo was not interested in going to the amusement park, a faint smile appeared on his little face when he saw his sister so happy.
Jonathan looked at the heartwarming scene in front of him, and a hint of emotions flickered in his eyes.
In the past, she had promised him a home, and now, she had indeed provided it through her and their children.
During these five years of amnesia, he had been lost in a fog of uncertainty. He had not realized how precious Guillermo was to him and had been equally unaware of just how much Rosalie meant to him.
He had simply meandered through these last five years.
Fortunately, she had returned, and their lives were slowly falling back into place. The only concern that still weighed on him was the memory he had yet to regain, âWhy did she leave me back then?â he thought again.
His only wish was for her words to be true-that she had not left him because she did not love him.
10:23 When they arrived at the amusement park entrance, Rosalie said to Jonathan, âJon! Remember to hold Jenâs hand tightly. She sometimes will run off when she enters the amusement park.â
At this moment, Rosalie held Guillermoâs hand and could not help but admire her sonâs excellent manners. She did not need to fret about him. In contrast, Jennifer had already spirited Jonathan away to explore, peppering him with a barrage of inquisitive questions.
âIt wonât happen. Even if she runs away, someone will find her and bring her back,â Jonathan said.
âWhat? Could it beâ¦â Rosalie blinked her eyes as she thought. Then, she asked, âAre there bodyguards following us today?â
âYes, Iâve arranged for a few bodyguards to accompany us, but there arenât many. Additionally, Iâve stationed personnel in the amusement parkâs surveillance room. This way, we can swiftly review the security camera footage in the event of an emergency,â Jonathan explained. Rosalie hesitated to inquire further about what Jonathan meant by ânot many.â She realized his interpretation of ânot manyâ
might differ significantly from hers.
Jonathan raised his eyebrows slightly when he saw Rosalieâs expression and asked, âWhy? Do you dislike someone following us?â
âWell⦠itâs okay, actually.â After all, when she was pregnant back then, he had dispatched bodyguards to watch over her, too. âI just feel like itâs making quite a spectacle out of a simple outing like this.â
âMaking quite a spectacle?â Jonathanâs mood dimmed a little as he pondered. He could not bear the possibility of losing her and their children again.
He had lost them once and understood the agony and despair that came with it.
âI just want to protect you,â Jonathan said.
war âI know,â Rosalie said before she broke into a smile. âLetâs just enjoy. We will just pretend the bodyguards do not exist. Guille, Jen, letâs go!â
âOkay. Letâs go!â Jennifer shouted excitedly. She imitated Rosalie, clenching her right hand into a fist and raising it high.
Guillermo initially found the gesture a bit silly, but when he saw Rosalie and Jennifer raising their fists, a hint of uncertainty crossed his young, delicate face. After a while, he also raised his hand like that.
Jennifer examined herself, Rosalie, and Guillermo, then pouted and asked, âWhy didnât Daddy raise his hand?â
âWell, your daddyâ¦â Rosalie was about to find a reason for Jonathan when she saw that Jonathan had also raised his fist.
Rosalie was dumbfounded. She used to do this action, but it was just a habitual action between her and her daughter. She did not think too much about it when doing this action, let alone that Jonathan would also make such a move in the end.
This action simply did not align with his usual demeanor.
However, Jonathan made such an action. This surprised Rosalie and left Guillermo gazing at his father in bewilderment. Only Jennifer enthusiastically exclaimed, âLetâs go!â
