Chapter 946
The Ceo’s Convict Wife
But she continued to tightly embrace him, deepening the kiss incessantly. It was as if this moment was everything for her!
After a long time, the kiss finally ended, and her face, hair, and body had been thoroughly wet by warm water.
âWhatâs wrong?â Jonathan raised his hand, wiping away the water droplets on Rosalieâs face, and asked.
âUm⦠I just suddenly wanted to tell you that I love you!â Rosalie said. With a delicate chin, finely shaped nose, eyes that glistened even more due to moisture, and pink lips that parted and came together, she seemed attractive and pitiful. If she hadnât said it, no one would have thought that she was the mother of three children.
âYou suddenly rush in just to tell me that you love me?â he chuckled. After all, it seemed to be the first time for her to do so.
âYes,â she said, her fingers gently sliding across his eyebrows, the corners of his eyes, his nose bridge, and finally resting on his lips. âJon, I hope you understand, no matter what, you are the one I love the most!â He fixed his gaze on her.
His fingers untied her clothes, and the warm water kept washing their bodies. When he carried her out of the bathroom and returned to bed, she held his face. After a tender moment, Rosalieâs stomach made an untimely gurgling sound. âWhat? Are you hungry?â Jonathan asked.
âWell, a little. When I was in the hospital with Lillian, I didnât eat much,â she replied. âIâll have someone cook something to eat then.â He got up and put on his pajamas.
âDonât!â She hurriedly pulled him. âItâs so late. The housekeepers are asleep. Iâll go to the kitchen and make something with whatever ingredients I can find.â
âThen Iâll do it. Iâll bring it to you when itâs ready,â he said.
She took her clothes and put them on. âLet me do it. I havenât cooked for you in a long time. Iâll make something, and we can eat together.â
Because of the âexerciseâ just now, her body felt a bit sore, and she naturally dressed slowly.
Jonathan leaned over to help Rosalie get dressed, his long fingers buttoning her clothes one by one.
Finally, he squatted down to put slippers on her feet.
Rosalie lowered her head and looked at the man kneeling on one knee in front of her in a daze. Her eyes moisten subconsciously.
After getting dressed, the two of them went downstairs. At this moment, the first floor was quiet, with hardly anyone around.
Rosalie went to the kitchen, looked at the ingredients in the refrigerator, and then said to Jonathan, âHow about I make a vegetable beef soup? Itâs quick. The beef will be cooked after being put into a pot.â
âOkay, you can do anything you want,â Jonathan said with a smile.
Rosalieâs body suddenly trembled slightly. âReally⦠I can do anything?â When she said this, her voice was hesitant.
âYes, anything. Whatever you do, Iâll eat it.â His eyes were like water, and this gentleness was just for her and the children. He looked very different in front of others at ordinary times.
Rosalie suddenly felt that the vegetables and beef in her hand became extremely heavy. She forced a smile. âIf what I made is too unpleasant to swallow, will you still eat it?â
âEven if you give me poison,,I will take it,â he said calmly.
âYouâ¦â she choked.
âBut I know you wonât, because you canât bear to, right?â he said.
She replied in a low voice, âYes, I canât bear to.â
08:57 D The vegetable beef soup was ready. They sat at the dining table, and Jonathan took the forks and spoons before they started to eat.
âJon, do you believe me?â Rosalie suddenly asked.
âAs long as you donât betray me, I will always believe you,â Jonathan answered.
Rosalieâs hand holding the fork tightened unconsciously. âIf⦠one day, I had no choice but to betray you? If there were too many reasons for the accidental betrayal, would youâ¦â She pursed her lips and, with difficulty, said, âForgive me?â
âWhat if I donât forgive you?â he said casually as he continued to eat the vegetable beef soup made by her. Her fingers suddenly loosened, and the fork in her hand made a crisp sound as it fell onto the tabletop. He looked up, glanced at the fork, and then fixed his gaze on her face. âWhatâs wrong?
Surprised that I would say something like that?â
âSurprised⦠yes, indeed, it was surprising,â Rosalie admitted in her heart.
Jonathan said, âAnyone in this world can betray me. Carlos, Gary, and even Guille and the other children. But you, Rosie, only you canât betray me.â
Rosalie was suddenly stunned, never expecting to hear him say such words.
âOnly⦠I canât?â she stammered.
âBecause you are the person I love and care about the most in my life. So, you canât betray me. If one day you betray me, I donât know what I would do.â
When Jonathan finished speaking, Rosalie felt a heavy weight on her heart, as if it were being pressed down by a large stone, making it difficult for her to breathe.
She could only lower her head at a loss and said, âQuick⦠letâs eat, or it will get cold!â
His eyes flashed, and he lowered his head to continue eating the plate of vegetable beef soup.
As the night grew deeper, Rosalie looked at Jonathan, who was already sound asleep beside her, her eyes filled with guilt.
She knew that what she was going to do next would hurt him. But she didnât want his hands to be stained with blood, even if this bloodshed might not involve any actual bleeding!
The moonlight fell on him through the window. His sleeping face looked so quiet and peaceful. She caught a glimpse of the scar under his pajamas.
She gently pulled open the neckline of his pajamas and looked at his scar quietly. Once, his mother had left this scar on him, and now, was she about to inflict another wound on him?
She bent down, and her lips kissed the scar on him.
âJon, Iâm sorry,â She murmured in a low voice, then got up and left. However, she didnât notice that his hand, hanging by his side, had fingers trembling slightly.
Rosalie walked out of the Youngblood residence unhindered. Even if the security guards who were patrolling at night saw her, they naturally wouldnât inquire about what the lady of the house was doing.
