She didnât understand why the appearance was so important to the boss man, but she knew to hammer the nail on its head. If all it took was for her to sacrifice a little of her image and thatâd appease the boss man and for him to bring his son with him to the next booth, Yan Shuyu felt that it was well worth her effort. So not only did she not deny that, she flattered him even more, âYou are Boss Zhou, not just anyone. Of course Iâd pay more attention to you.â
As cooperative as she has, Zhou Qinhe had no intention to let her off the hook so easily. He continued to stand there, composed as usual. He gave Liu Ci a conservative look, then back at her. With a smile thatâs not really a smile, he asked her, âYou are not working today?â
âI am working today!â Yan Shuyu didnât miss his obscure look. Knowing the reason behind the look, she quickly explained herself, âThis is my sonâs instructor.â
Meaning, she was chatting serious business with Instructor Liu, not slacking off at work.
Zhou Qinheâs presence was so strong that Liu Ci picked up immediately that he was just a nobody in front of him. He also stood up courteously when Yan Shuyu saluted him reflexively. As Yan Shuyu was being inconspicuous in her speech and didnât seem to want to introduce the two of them, it wouldnât be appropriate for Liu Ci to chime in. He merely smiled very gentlemanly at Zhou Qinhe when he was being blatantly sized up.
Naturally, as an artist, Liu Ciâs demeanor was impeccable. But Zhou Qinheâs was no less so. As someone who was born with the silver spoon, no matter how low key he tried to be usually, deep down inside he could still be very unconstrained in the way he behaved. When he was gentlemanly, he gave off the feeling of a spring breeze. Even when he was somewhat irrational in his behavior, he would still give off the feeling that everything was very matter-of-fact.
Take this moment as an example. Liu Ci felt that itâd be inappropriate for him to chime in their conversation without Yan Shuyuâs introduction as a middleman but that didnât bother Zhou Qinhe at all. He casually and naturally reached his hand out, shook his hand, and said, âNo wonder I felt that your demeanor was so impeccable, so you are a kindergarten teacher.â
Before Liu Ci could respond to that, Yan Shuyu was already facepalming. She quickly clarified, âThatâs a misunderstanding, Boss Zhou. Liu Ci is an instructor at a music institution.â
Zhou Qinhe turned and gave her a look. He lifted his brows just perfectly and asked, âA music institution?â
Yan Shuyu, ââ¦..:
At this point in time, her introduction was no longer necessary. Liu Ci naturally pulled out a business card, handed it over to Boss Zhou, and gave him an overview of their institution. Yan Shuyu couldnât help but think to herself that Male God Liu might looked like a classy artist, but man, he sure was skillful when it came to recruiting for new clients.
However, from where she was standing, Liu Ciâs behavior wasnât unacceptable, but the bossâs behavior was. He accepted the business card but didnât give Liu Ci one in return. Instead, he smiled with his son standing next to him and said, âWhat a coincidence, Zhou Yi has been taking piano lessons as well.â
Having said that, he didnât even allow Yan Shuyu a chance to interject. As though he was in his own home, he suggested most naturally, âWhy donât we sit down and chat a bit more?â
Liu Ci nodded.
Yan Shuyu: Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?
If her memory served her correctly, Liu Ci was her sonâs instructor, right? They were talking about serious business. What did the boss have to do with any of this? Wasnât he here for afternoon tea with his son?
It didnât matter. The development of the matters was already entirely out of her control. Yan Shuyu only remained stunned for a few seconds. By the time she recollected herself, the boss had already taken a seat with Male God Liu, and the two of them were happily chatting away. The boss was also conveniently sitting in the spot she was in earlier.
