Livianaâs POV
Today marks the start of my training.
My grandparents did not agree to any of it so I needed to convince them.
It only took hours of convincing.
âYou ready, your majesty?â Rainer asked as he peeked inside my bedroom.
I nodded and grabbed a bag with my extra clothes so i wouldnât need to go back and forth the palace to change if I needed to.
âYeah. Is Luke already with Kaley and grandma?â I asked as we made our way out.
Rainer nodded.
We made our to where Luke was.
I needed a k**s goodbye to get me through the day.
As much as I wanted him to be around when I train, I canât.
Who knows what can happen?
If I end up losing control in any way, Iâd put my son in danger.
I donât want that.
Iâd never want that.
We arrived at Lukeâs room that was guarded by 2 guards on the outside.
âYour majesty, captainâ the guards bowed their heads.
I gave them a nod.
The guard opened the door for us and I went in.
There were 2 more guards guarding inside.
I gave them an acknowledging nod as they bowed their heads to us.
Luke was playing with his toys with Kaley and grandma on his side.
They all turned to look at us as we entered.
âMama!â Luke said excitedly as he adorably stood up and ran to me.
I caught him in my arms and lifted him up.
âHey there, sweet boy. Mommy is going out for training so you stay here with aunt Kaley and grandma, okay?â I told Luke.
Luke slightly tilted hia head to the side.
âMama?â he said.
I smiled and gave him a k**s on the forehead.
âMommy will be back before dinner so be a good boy, okay?â I said.
Luke innocently nodded.
I smiled and leaned my forehead on Lukeâs forehead.
âMommy loves youâ I muttered.
Luke giggled in response.
I gave Luke to Kaley and I kissed grandma on the cheek as she gave me a worried look.
âBe careful, sweetieâ she said.
I nodded.
âI will, grandmaâ I said.
Then, grandma gave a meaningful look to Rainer.
âRainer, keep my granddaughter away from troubleâ she said.
I chuckled.
âYes, your majestyâ Rainer said.
I looked at Kaley and she gave me a teasing look.
I just shook my head in disbelief.
We said goodbye and made our way out.
âDo you have any type of training planned for today?â Rainer asked.
I nodded.
âYeah. I want to work on my combat skills for now. I can practice mastering my elemental powers some other time. I need to get back on track with my combat skills for nowâ I said.
âYou were the Alpha of one of the biggest pack in Lunar and you didnât have powers then, I could only guess that you were quite the fighter. Iâm sure a ton of other male Alphas came to take away your title and your packâ he said.
I nodded.
âYou guessed rightâ I said with a chuckle.
Those were the times.
Rainer and I made our way to the indoor training grounds.
As expected, there were already guards and warriors training inside.
They all turned to look at us.
âGood morning, your majesty. Good morning, captainâ they all greeted in unison.
Rainer and I gave them a small nod.
âAre you sure you want to train here? We can always find some place else with less people trainingâ Rainer suggested.
I shook my head.
âItâs better here. We have all the things and the people that we needâ I said with a shrug.
Rainer sighed and nodded.
We had our own space not too far away from everyone else.
I think Rainer prepared it in advance.
I can feel the other men in the room glancing at our direction but I ignored it.
I was wearing a black solid sports tank top and a pair of black leggings paired with black rubber shoes.
I bought them in the mall last time since I knew Iâd need them for training.
My hair was tied into a ponytail.
âYou should stretch firstâ Rainer told me.
I nodded.
I did a few stretches while Rainer prepared the equipment for our training.
After I was done with my stretching, I made my way to the punching bag.
I had a lot of pent up range deep inside of me.
I think Iâd be able to finally release it.
I tilted my head side to side.
My eyes turned bright gold as I prepared myself to punch.
I took a deep breath and then I punched the punching bag.
My hand went through the punching bag so my eyes widened.
I turned to look at Rainer for help.
âUhmâ¦Rainer?â I said a little nervous.
Rainer looked at me with his mouth slightly opened in surprise.
I looked around and saw all the people in the room looking at my direction as well.
Their mouths were gaped open and shock was written all over their faces.
I immediately flushed red in embarrassment.
Rainer burst out laughing.
I frowned.
âRainerâ I scolded.
Rainer made his way to me and took away the punching bag.
âI knew you were strong but I didnât expect you to destroy the punching bag in one goâ Rainer said with a chuckle.
âSorry. I wasnât really controlling my strengthâ I said guiltily.
âItâs fine. I donât expect you to hold backâ he said and slightly ruffled my hair.
Rainer and I continued on training.
He ended up partnering with me.
I donât even know how many things Iâve destroyed as I went with my training.
I might have underestimated myself.
After being in a coma for a year, I expected to be a little weaker than I used to be.
But I think I actually acquired an increase of strength.
I did have a weak stamina though.
Hours passed by as I trained.
I havenât been this physically active in so long so it felt really good to be back.
I was glad to be back.
âLiviana, time for lunchâ Rainer said while I was doing some footwork training.
âIâm not hungry but you can go on aheadâ I said as I continued to work on my footwork.
Rainer gave me a look.
âLivianaâ he said with a hidden warning in his tone.
âIâm fine, Rainer. You can eat with the othersâ I told him still not stopping.
Rainer sighed and made his way towards me.
âRainer, I said IâAHHHHH!â I screamed when Rainer suddenly picked me up and carried me on his shoulder like a sack.
âRainer! What in the world are you doing?! Put me down!â I shouted as I struggled to get out of his hold.
âWeâre eating lunch whether you like it or notâ he said.
I kept trying to let him go of me but it was no use.
I also considered using my powers but that would be going to far now, would it?
I sighed in defeat and just let him do as he pleases.
Lunch was brought over for everyone.
Rainer put me down on one of the chairs in a table with 2 men.
Both men looked at Rainer and I with a stunned expression.
âIâll get us some food. You can stay here with Axel and Connorâ Rainer said.
I frowned at him and didnât answer.
Rainer left with a chuckle.
I sighed and looked at the men in the table Iâm in.
They immediately looked down when our eyes met.
âIâm Liviana. You both are?â I introduced myself casually.
They looked at me and then glanced at each other.
âIâm Axel, your majesty. Iâm the assistant head warriorâ one stood up and introduced himself then bowed his head.
I nodded.
âIâm Connor, your majesty. Iâm the head of the guardsâ the other introduced standing up and bowing his head as well.
I nodded and motioned for them to sit down.
They both sat down again.
âIâm assuming that you guys are actually Rainerâs close friends?â I said.
They both glanced at each other and nodded.
âYes, your majesty. How did you know? Does RainerâI mean captain, ever talk about us?â Axel asked.
I shook my head.
âNo. I figured Rainer wouldnât leave me alone with just anyone so I assumed that he trusts you guys enough to leave me in the same table as the both of youâ I said with a shrug.
They both chuckled.
âAlso, do drop the formalities when itâs just us. Iâm not too comfortable being called âyour majestyâ yetâ I said.
They nodded hesitantly.
Rainer came back with 2 big plates of food and placed one in front of me.
âThank youâ I said as he sat down beside me.
âYouâre welcomeâ he said with a smile.
Axel and Connor gave Rainer a look.
Itâs like they were communicating amongst each other.
I didnât mind.
âIâm guessing that youâve all done your introductions?â Rainer said.
I nodded.
Rainer smiled.
âGoodâ he said
We started eating lunch and Rainer started small talks to engage us in a conversation.
It was successful.
Axel and Connor seemed reliable.
I mean, if Rainer trusted them, I trust his judgment.
It tuned out that they grew up together as well so thatâs something.
After lunch, we continued to our training and Axel and Connor left to do something.
âHowâs Axel and Connor?â Rainer asked me curiously as we did some kicks.
âI think theyâre okay. I trust your judgment with people. Youâve been with them for so long so I think youâd know betterâ I said with a shrug.
Rainer chuckled.
âYou overestimate me, Livianaâ he said.
I chuckled.
I just playfully rolled my eyes at him.
Rainer laughed.
We continued on with our training.
I focused on my strength first.
Iâll have to come up with techniques to practice.
I wanted to go back to the basics since I havenât trained in so long.
âRainerâ
Rainer and I both turned to look at who called Rainer.
It was his father.
His eyes landed on me and I saw his eyebrow furrow.
This first training of mine is going to get interesting.
I can feel it.
