I turned to look and saw the moon goddess coming my way.
âMoon goddessâ I said and slightly bowed to her.
âHow have you been, dear?â she asked.
âIâm doing just fine, moon goddessâ I said.
The moon goddess smiled.
âIâm gladâ she said.
The moon goddess looked at me for a moment.
âHappy 21st birthday, Livianaâ she greeted me with a soft smile.
âIâm proud of the person you have become over the yearsâ she told me.
I smiled.
âThank you, moon goddessâ I thanked her.
The moon goddess walked closer to me and stood in front of me.
Then, she placed her hand on the side of my face.
âIâm glad I chose youâ she said and I saw how her eyes slightly teared up.
The moon goddess caressed my hair gently.
âYouâve bloomed to become a beautiful flower. Not yet fully bloomed but almost thereâ she said.
I smiled slightly.
âThank you, moon goddess. For everythingâ I said.
The moon goddess smiled and she pulled me for a hug.
âThank you, Liviana. Youâve worked hard to be where you are now. Iâve seen your struggles and your dedicationâ she said.
âNow, go. Go and spend your day with your loved oneâ she finally said.
Then, I woke up.
I turned to my side to hug Luke but he wasnât beside me.
I immediately sat up as I looked around.
Luke wasnât in the room.
âRainerâ I mind linked Rainer.
âYouâre awake. Good morningâ he replied immediately.
âIs Luke with you?â I asked through the link.
âYeah. Luke is with me. He woke up extra early today. You can sleep moreâ he told me.
I sighed in relief.
Thatâs all I needed to know.
Luke is with Rainer so heâs safe.
Thatâs the only thing that matters.
âOkay. Thank youâ I replied.
âYouâre welcomeâ Rainer replied.
We cut the link.
I laid down on my bed once more as I stared at the ceiling.
I canât believe that Iâm already 21.
Never did I imagine myself being where I am right now.
Who wouldâve thought that Iâd become royalty?
Who wouldâve thought that Iâd be the chosen one?
And who wouldâve thought that Iâd be an actual mother?
I had always seen myself growing old as a single woman.
But here I am now.
Iâm living in a palace where everyone looks up to me.
I still think about a man who I fell in love with before I almost lost my life.
And Iâm a mother to a beautiful boy named Luke.
Iâve come so far.
But Iâm still not done yet.
I still had a lot of things to do before I can consider my mission done.
Then, the door to my room opened and I peaked to see who it was.
âMommy!â Luke greeted.
Luke had a bouquet of flowers in his hands as he made his way to me.
Rainer was following him with a tray of food in his hands.
Dillon was following them as well.
âHappy Birthday, Mommy! I love you!â Luke said as he climbed on the bed beside me.
Luke gave me the bouquet of flowers and gave me a k**s on the cheek.
I smiled.
âThank you, baby. I love youâ I said and squeezed Lukeâs face then gave him a k**s.
Luke giggled.
âBreakfast in bed for the birthday girlâ Luke said and placed the tray of food in front of me.
I looked at Rainer.
âHappy Birthday, Livianaâ he greeted.
âThank you, Rainerâ I thanked with a smile.
âAnything for you, princessâ Rainer said and planted a k**s on the top of my head.
I smiled.
âCome on. Have breakfast with mommyâ I said to Luke and made him sit on my lap.
Luke nodded and we started eating my birthday breakfast together.
âYour party starts at 7. The people who are going to help you prepare for the party will come at 4â Rainer told me.
I nodded in understanding.
Thereâs going to be a party later in the evening.
It was a celebration of my 21st birthday.
I didnât want anything grand but my grandparents insisted on it because it was a special year for a royalty like myself.
Being 21 means I can take over the throne.
It means I can finally lead Halo not just as a Princess.
But as Queen.
Thatâs why being 21 is such a big deal to my grandparents.
It is to me too.
I just wasnât too fond with big parties.
But I guess I donât have a choice now, do I?
âIâm going to bathe Luke then Iâm going to shower afterwards. Can you take him out on the playground or do you have something to do?â I asked.
âItâs fine. I donât have anything important to doâ Rainer said with a shrug.
I chuckled.
âLetâs go, Luke. Letâs get you bathedâ I said.
Luke nodded and I held his hand to the bathroom.
I bathed Luke and dressed him up nicely for the day.
âSuch a handsome little boyâ I said as I lightly pinched Lukeâs cheeks.
âMommyâ Luke giggled.
I smiled and gave him a k**s on the cheek.
âNow go to uncle Rainerâ I said.
Luke nodded and ran to Rainer.
âIâll be out after I showerâ I told Rainer.
Rainer nodded.
âJust take your timeâ he said.
I nodded.
Rainer and Luke left the room with Dillon amd I made my way to the bathroom.
I took a long shower to get me by the day.
Then, I got dressed into a white surplice neck wide leg jumpsuit paired with flat sandals.
I made my way out of the room and out of the palace as the people in the palace greeted me.
I reached outside and saw Luke playing with Rainer in the playground while Dillon chased after them.
I could even hear Lukeâs laughs and giggles from here.
It was music to my ears.
A beautiful melody that I can listen to all day long.
âHi, mommy!â Luke greeted when he saw me.
Then, he came running to me and I caught him in my arms then we spun around.
Luke giggled and laughed as he hugged me.
âAre you having fum with your uncle Rainer?â I asked.
Luke nodded.
âUncle Rainer said heâd bring me with him to his work again tomorrow if I behave for the whole day todayâ he said excited.
I glanced at Rainer.
Rainer chuckled nervously and I just shook my head in disbelief.
âIs it okay if I go with uncle Rainer to his work tomorrow, mommy?â Luke asked with puppy eyes.
Not the puppy eyes.
I was weak when it came to that.
It was a trick.
My son uses it against me to get what he wants.
I sighed.
âSure, baby. As long as you donât cause any troubleâ I said in defeat.
âYey!â Luke cheered excitedly.
âUncle Rainer, mommy said yesâ Luke told Rainer.
Rainer nodded and ruffled Lukeâs hair.
âThatâs great, buddy. Now, all you have to do is behave, okay?â Rainer told him.
Luke nodded enthusiastically.
I smiled.
We went through the day.
I kept myself busy with Luke and every now and then, Rainer and I would talk about matters regarding Halo.
Then, the people who came to get me prepared for the party came.
I showered again quickly and they started to do their thing.
The last time I did this was during my princess coronation.
Itâs been a while.
After hours of preparation, they finally finished.
Then, they helped me put on my gown.
It was a beautiful red a-line gown that hugged my waist perfectly.
It had a high slit and stunning rose details on its skirt.
âThe final touchâ a woman said.
My crown was placed on the top of my head for the final touch.
âYou look stunning, your majestyâ they said.
I smiled thankfully.
Then, the door to my room opened.
Rainer and Luke came in with Dillon beside them.
They were also already dressed for the occasion.
Rainer wore a black tuxedo with a few buttons of his inner shirt was opened. His hair was also neatly styled.
Luke wore a tuxedo as well and a little red bow. His hair was also styled neatly like Rainerâs.
Even Dillon had a red bow on him.
âOh wowâ Rainer said as he looked at me in awe.
I chuckled.
âMommy, you look beautiful!â Luke complimented cheerfully as he hugged me by my skirt.
I smiled and carried him.
âThank you, baby. You look very handsome as wellâ I said and gave him a k**s.
Luke smiled widely.
Rainer stared at us with a smile.
âShall we go? Everyone is waiting for usâ Rainer said.
I nodded and put down Luke.
Luke held my hand.
Rainer offered me his hand and I took it.
We all walked out together and made our way to ballroom where the party was being held.
âHow are you feeling?â Rainer asked me.
âFine. Should I be nervous?â I asked.
Rainer chuckled and shook his head.
âOf course notâ he said with a smile.
I chuckled.
We reached the ballroom.
âLuke and I will go firstâ Rainer told me.
I nodded.
âCaptain Rainer Black with his majesty, Prince Lukeâ their names were announced but Luke whispered something to Rainer.
Rainer chuckled and then said something to the man announcing their names.
The man nodded and cleared his throat.
âAnd sir Dillon of Haloâ the man announced.
I chuckled.
Oh son.
Rainer entered with Luke and Dillon.
I smiled.
Then, I took a deep breath as I waited for my own entrance.
âFinally, her majesty, Princess Liviana White, the heiress of Haloâ
Then, I made my way inside.
