Livianaâs POV
I stared into the unknown.
I think Iâll lose my mind before this retreat ends.
I managed to make a deal with Howl and made Blake move to another tent with well, 2 wolves which one was from my pack and a human.
Atleast I have an eye looking after Blake.
Now, Iâm just the one in trouble.
âBad mate! Bad Liviana!â Amaris kept scolding me.
She did not like the fact that I agreed on a date with another wolf.
âMate will be disappointed. Mate will be madâ she continued.
Heâll be furious, thatâs for sure.
I sighed.
How did my life become like this?
Weâre currently in a bonfire and Iâm sitting between Veronica and Karina as they pester me about Blake.
âHow long have you known each other?â
âHow did you meet?â
âWhatâs Blakeâs ideal type?â
âDoes he have a girlfriend?â
It was absolutely annoying.
I hate it the most when new people pry on my personal life.
âI think I have a headache. I need to go back to the tentâ I told them. They pouted.
Faith glanced at me.
âYou should restâ¦Livi while we stay hereâ she said and I gave her an acknowledging nod. She bowed her head.
I made my way to the tent and then switched paths and into the woods.
I badly need time to cool off.
I ran and ran through the woods only stopping when I reach a cliff and an open space revealing the moon.
Tonight is supposed to be the night of the b***d moon.
I sat by a bush and looked up closing me eyes.
Then I was suddenly somewhere else.
Diana stood before me.
âLivianaâ¦â she called me softly.
âHiâ I said. She smiled.
âDo you know why youâre here?â she asked me. I shook my head.
âI have a gift for youâ she told me. I c****d my head to the side curiously.
âA gift?â I said. She nodded.
âYes, a giftâ she said.
âWhy?â I asked. She gave me a small smile.
âBecause you need itâ she simply said.
âWhat could I possibly need?â I said. She motioned me to come.
I carefully approached her before giving me an assuring smile.
She cupped my face and looked into my eyes.
âThis will hurt a littleâ she said and even before I could say anything, everything lit up and I screamed in pain.
It was the same unbearable pain I had felt on the day of my 18th birthday but thenâ¦
A series of scenes repeated on my head.
It was a cold night and I can smell the scent of the trees, water andâ¦b***d.
I heard cries. It was clearly from an infant but they were coming from me.
Then I saw Diana.
Her eyes filled with tears, her face full of dirt and her whole appearance disheveled.
âHush, little one. Mother is hereâ she said and I felt a hand caress my cheek and the crying stops.
A tear falls from her eye as she smiled at me.
Then I heard rustling and Diana immediately lifted me and ran.
She ran and ran until she finally stops and hide.
She pursed her lips shut and stopped breathing for a moment.
There were footsteps.
Then the sound of flesh being torn apart.
Diana covers her mouth with one of her hands.
âPrincess? Itâs me. Itâs Dimitriâ called out a familiar voice.
Diana peeks and sighs in relief.
âDimitriâ she said getting out of her hiding.
âPrincess Dianaâ itâs my father.
He looked way way younger than the last time I had seen him but I know my father when I see him.
âWhereâs Kale?â Diana asked my father.
Kale?
My father looks down.
âIâm sorry, Princess but I need to get you and Princess Liviana out of here. Itâs the only thing I can do for his Highness nowâ my father said and Dianaâs legs give out but my father holds her.
âWe must leave now, Princessâ my father said. Diana reluctant nods.
Then a series of howls is heard.
âTheyâre comingâ Diana muttered and looks at my father.
âTake herâ she said.
âTake her, Dimitriâ she says again.
âPrincess, Iââ
âWe all wonât survive if you donât take her. The both of us are helpless. Sheâll be better off with youâ she explains.
âTake her and go back to your pack. Raise her like sheâs your own. Please. I beg of youâ Diana begged as tears streamed down her face. My father reluctantly nods.
Diana then looks at me.
âGrow beautifully, my child. I love you so muchâ she said as the last tear escape her eye.
Then I see her shift to a wolf that Iâm all too familiar with.
Amaris.
She gives me a last glance with her golden eyes and ran off to the opposite direction.
I gasp awake as my eyes glowed bright gold.
What the hell was that?!
I look up to the moon to see that it has already turned red.
What did that dream mean?
Or is it really a dream?
Then I heard a scream.
Blake.
I quickly got up on my feet and ran as fast as I could in my human form.
Then I saw about 10 rogues surrounding Blake.
My eyes darkened.
I growled loudly and they all turned to look at me.
âL-liviâ¦s-stay back! Run!â Blake shouted and the rogues snarled and growled as I approached them.
Then one rogue made its way to me with its claws aimed at me.
âLivi no!â
The next thing I know there wasâ¦
B***d.
âL-liviâ Blake muttered as b***d came out his mouth and his hug on me loosened.
My breathing stopped.
âN-noâ I said catching Blake in my arms as he fell.
âBlakeâ my tears started to cloud my vision as he coughed b***d.
âR-r-runâ he said before his eyes closed.
Noâ¦
I looked up, my eyes glowing bright gold.
The next thing I know, I had shifted to my wolf and started to attack the rogues, tearing them limb from limb.
I was not in control nor was Amaris.
It was pure rage with one goal.
Bloodshed.
Some tried to run but they were tooq slow for me and I quickly killed them without a second to waste.
One dead body came after another.
Until the last remained.
Blakeâs murderer.
I lunged at it biting it by its neck and squeezing the life out of it slowly.
Die.
It took its last breath and I ripped its head off its body.
Then I ran back to where Blake is and saw Faith and the other one from my pack who was supposed to look out for Blake.
I growled and snarled at them which made them back away from Blake.
I approached him and whimpered trying to wake him up.
Please.
Iâm begging someone please save him.
Please.
âHeal himâ I heard Dianaâs voice in my head.
âWhat?â I asked confused.
âHeal him, Livianaâ she said.
âHow?â I said.
âI gave you my ability. You can do it. Heal himâ she insisted.
I shifted back to my human form and Faith immediately came to me wrapping me in some clothing.
I kneeled before Blake and put my hand on his chest where the claws had pierced through.
âPleaseâ I said and my hands lit up my eyes glowed gold once again. I threw my head back and stared at the moon as I felt the energy travel from my body to Blakeâs.
It was extremely painful and I felt like my life force was being drained out of my body but I endured it.
Please.
I canât let Blake die.
Heâs family.
The last energy I had in me spurt out and transferred to Blake and I saw how his once pale complexion started to return to its normal color.
Then I saw his eyes falter.
âBlakeâ I muttered before I fell to the ground.
