Livianaâs POV
âMommy, look!â Luke said as he pointed at the star on top of the Christmas tree.
He was the one who put it there yesterday when Luan lifted him up.
âGood job, buddyâ I said and crouched down to give Luke a k**s on the cheek.
Luke giggled in delight.
Then, he looked behind me.
âDaddy!â Luke said and I turned around to see Luan.
âHey, buddyâ Luan greeted our son and carried him in his arms.
âHeyâ I greeted him softly.
âHi, loveâ Luan greeted and gave me a k**s on the cheek.
âWhere are your cousinsâ I asked curiously.
Luan actually left early in the morning to meet up with Abe, Beau and Cassandra.
We invited them to spend Christmas in the palace with us and they were more than happy to accept.
They moved out of the palace the day after my coronation.
They wanted to have a different environment after their father was put away with Luanâs father after the crimes they did all those years.
âTheyâre just getting some of their stuffâ he said.
I nodded.
âBuddy, why donât you go and get your toys for when youâre uncles and auntie come huh?â Luan suggested.
Lukeâs eyes sparkled and nodded enthusiastically.
âOkay, daddyâ Luke said and Luan put him down.
Luke came running to his playroom to get his toys.
Then, Luan turned to look at me with a smile.
He pulled me by the waist and placed his arms around his shoulders.
I chuckled.
âIs that your way of getting rid of our son? Because if it is, youâre quite impressiveâ I said.
Luan chuckled.
âHow was your trip?â I asked as I instinctively played with his hair.
âIâm a little tired but atleast youâre closer to me now so thatâs one good thingâ he said and winked.
I rolled my eyes with a smile.
âYeah rightâ I said and we both chuckled.
âHave you eaten?â I asked further.
Luan shook his head.
I furrowed my brows at him.
âWhy not?â I said.
âI wanted to go back as soon as possible and get home to youâ he said and buried his face on my neck.
I smiled.
âAll right. Iâll prepare food for you first then go and rest afterwards, okay?â I said.
Luan whined a little.
I chuckled.
âIâll prepare food for you and your cousins. Go and sit down firstâ I told him.
Luan sighed and nodded.
I gave him a k**s on the cheek and he let me go.
Then, I went to the kitchen.
I asked Theresa and Madeline for help and they gladly assisted me in preparing food for our guests.
They came yesterday along with the others.
âCan I help?â Rainer popped in.
âHeyâ I greeted him.
âHeyâ he greeted back with a smile and went to my side.
âHow was your run?â I asked.
Rainer went out earlier because he said he wanted to run for a bit and explore Lunar more without worrying about getting caught by guards for being a spy.
âIt was good. What are you making?â he asked curiously.
âFood for Luan and his cousins. Do you want me to fix you some too?â I asked him.
âSounds goodâ he said.
I nodded.
Rainer and I are still in good terms.
Weâre still basically the same except he doesnât sleep in the same room as Luke and I anymore and he doesnât follow me around anymore everywhere I go.
I mean, he still follows me around when I need to go out since he wants to be sure that Iâm completely safe.
Specially since Iâve already been crowned recently.
He and Luan have a very complicated relationship though.
Luan dislikes him and Rainer doesnât care about Luan.
In fact, he ignores him most of the time when Luan gets possessive.
Rainer was always the mature type.
And well, Luan is a different case when Iâm the subject.
Thatâs understandable because heâs my partner.
Rainer has started to become close to everyone.
Actually, even faster than Luan.
Thatâs also why Luan sees him like a threat.
I personally find it funny.
El teases Luan a lot about Rainer being a much better person.
Luan counters by saying that heâs going to make a way to separate El and Cassandra.
They end up fighting after that while Rainer watches their childish bickering.
âIs your dad coming later with my grandparents?â I asked Rainer.
Rainer nodded.
âOf course. You know how much that man loves Christmasâ he said chuckling.
I chuckled as well.
It might not seem like it but Rolan is a total fun of the holiday.
âBy the way, Iâm going back to Halo on the evening of the 26thâ Rainer told me.
I looked at him with a raised brow.
âWhy?â I asked curiously.
âIâm going to pick out some warriors and guards to transfer here in Lunar and vice versaâ he explained.
I nodded in understanding.
âWill you be back before New Yearâs day?â I asked.
Rainer chuckled and nodded.
âOf course. Iâd hate missing out a holiday with all of youâ he said and gave me a playful wink.
âBack off, Blackâ Luan suddenly came in.
I saw Rainer roll his eyes as Luan went behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist in a possessive manner.
Rainer frowned at Luan and shook his head in disbelief.
âIâm going to find Lukeâ Rainer said.
I nodded.
âIâll bring you your food laterâ I told him.
Rainer nodded and gave me a smile.
Then, he left.
So, Iâm left with the possessive Luan.
âWhat?â I asked while he frowned.
âThat guy just doesnât stop flirting with youâ he said in disbelief.
I chuckled.
âHe wasnât flirting with me, Luan. Canât you give Rainer a break?â I said as I finished up in preparing the food.
âHe clearly still has feelings for you. Itâs way too obviousâ he pointed out.
I shook my head with a laugh.
âLook, Luan. If Rainer wanted to take me away from you, he wouldâve done it long agoâ I told him.
Luan pouted at me.
I donât know how many more times I should explain that to him.
Specially considering that most of the time, Iâm with him.
He really has nothing to worry about.
Iâm not sure if heâs just bored or what.
Itâs cute when he gets jealous but itâs not very healthy now, is it?
âCome on. Help me serve this in the dining table so you guys can eat and you can get your restâ I said.
Luan sighed and nodded in defeat.
We served their food and they started eating.
âYour Highness, your family is hereâ a guard mind linked me.
âLet them inâ I replied.
âYes, your highnessâ the guard replied.
âTheyâre hereâ I told Luan.
Luan stood up from his seat but I made him sit down again.
âItâs fine. Iâll go and get them. Just eat. Iâll be back as soon I canâ I said.
âButââ he tried to say.
I shook my head and covered his head.
âFinish your foodâ I said and left.
Even before I could get out, Rainer appeared with Katie and Luke.
âMommy, is it grandpa Dimdim?â Luke asked curiously.
âYes, buddyâ I said.
Luke smiled excitedly.
Katie clung onto my arms.
âI love it here. I think I might just drop college and live as the Queenâs bestfriend who flirts with the mateless male wolvesâ Katie said.
I chuckled.
âGo ahead. Iâm not stopping youâ I told her.
Katieâs eyes sparkled.
âReally?â she said.
I nodded.
âIf thatâs what you want, go on ahead. Youâre old enough to do as you pleaseâ I said with a shrug.
Katie squealed excitedly.
Then, she turned to look at Rainer.
âHeâs my first targetâ Katie pointed at Rainer.
Rainer shook his head in disbelief and looked in front ignoring Katie.
Katie pouted.
I laughed.
I think she actually has a huge crush on Rainer.
And Iâm not even against it.
It was quite an interesting combination.
Talk about diversity.
But then again, it seemed Rainer has something else in mind.
Or maybe someone.
Iâve been noticing it since he came back from Halo after leaving the day after he dropped off Luke in the pack house.
Iâm not sure.
What Iâm sure of is heâs definitely thinking of something and itâs bothering him.
We reached the outside of the palace and I saw the cars as they drove towards the parking.
After they parked, I saw my family coming out.
I made my way to them and greeted them with hugs and k****s.
Even Blake and his parents came.
Some helpers came out and helped unload the baggages since theyâll be staying until after New Yearâs day.
It was a pretty hectic Christmas Eve.
Everyone gathered by the living room.
I stood on the side watching them and it brought a smile on my face.
This is everything I could ever ask for.
