Livianaâs POV
Morning came and my body ached all over. It was like Iâd shifted for the first time in my life except it was way worse.
Edmond and I had already talked earlier but both of us are still clueless how differently my wolf form changed.
Aside from that, my scent became even more eminent. He said it was stronger and more noticeable so I had to mask my scent more than usual.
Then I also acquired strands of silver white hair in my hair when I changed back to my human form and my eyes showed hint of gold too.
I still went to school despite the aching feeling because I knew that if I didnât, Blake and Katie would be upset with me.
As expected, they were already waiting for me by my locker. Their eyes shined brightly when they saw me.
âLivi!â Katie called my name before pouncing on me and hugged me tight.
âHappy birthday, Livi!â Katie greeted and gave me a k**s on the cheek before giving me her present.
âThank you, Katieâ I said gently hugging her.
âYouâre welcomeâ she said hugging me back.
As soon as we separated from the hug, Blake shoved Katie to the side and hugged me.
âHappy birthdayâ he whispered in my ear before kissing me on my other cheek.
He gave me his present in a paper bag and Katie punched him on his arm.
âYou literally shoved me awayâ she complained to her brother and Blake just laughed.
After that, Katie went her separate way and Blake and I have a French class together so we walked to class together and sat beside each other.
I was still extremely tired and weak.
I didnât get much sleep and that sudden fit last night was extremely painful and exhausting.
âYou okay?â Blake asked worried. I nodded.
âIâm tired. I couldnât get much sleep last nightâ I told him.
âWhy?â he asked curiously.
âNightmareâ I lied. He nodded and held my hand caressing it.
I could barely stay awake during French class so Blake brought me to the nurseâs office and insisted that I rest so I did.
I slept at the nurseâs office hoping Iâll be able to regain my energy even just a little.
The next thing I knew, I was back in the forest.
I saw Amaris by the river and I went to her side but she was too occupied pacing and wagging her tail looking somewhere. I followed her gaze to the other side of the river.
It was black wolf. Itâs fur shining and itâs green orbs alluring.
âMate! Mate! Mate!â Amaris excitedly said. I looked at her shocked.
âAmarisâ I voiced out.
âLiviana, mate found us!â she said excitedly and I jolt awake.
My eyes widened at the sight of a complete stranger inches away from my face. I pushed him and sat up glaring.
It was Luan Grey.
Whatâs he doing here?
âMateâ he growled. Then, almost immediately his scent hit me like a bus. It was enticing.
Fck no.
I checked to see where the nurse was but she isnât there.
I stood up keeping my distance away from him. He growled at my actions.
âWho are you and what are you doing here?â I said playing innocent.
âI know you know who I am. Donât play dumb. It was you who I smelt in the woods last nightâ he snarled.
I clenched my fist.
âI donât know what youâre talking aboutâ I said. He did not look amused with me lying.
âWhy are you avoiding me?â he asked sternly.
âIâm not avoiding youâ I lied again.
Iâve never lied so much in a day, really.
âYour actions says otherwiseâ he stated with a smirk.
âYouâre a stranger. How do you expect me to react to you?â I hissed. He sighed and raked his hair with his hand in frustration.
âAre you afraid of me?â he asked. I c****d my head to the side.
âNoâ I said confidently.
âGoodâ he said and the next thing I know, he gripped my hand, pulled me and sat me on his lap before burying his face on neck.
âMineâ he snarled. I froze for a moment and then snapped back to reality.
With all my remaining ounce of strength, I pushed him to the bed and held him by the throat.
âNoâ I said in my Alpha tone then left the room running.
I rode my motorbike and I sent Katie and Blake a text that I had an emergency.
Amaris was again whimpering and even more upset with me.
I slept till dinner time until Edmond woke me up to have dinner. They prepared a feast.
Although I didnât want to celebrate at all, dinner didnât seem too bad.
I took a shower first before going down and dressed up in a white flowy dress that ended just above my knees just so Iâd be presentable then went down to join the pack.
After dinner, I decided to get some fresh air.
I looked at the full moon.
How beautiful it was.
âIâm coming to youâ I snapped.
Excuse me what?
I recognize that voice.
âWhat the fck, Grey?â I said in disbelief.
How was he even able to mind link me?
âYou donât have a choice, womanâ he said.
âGoodluck getting killed thenâ I scoffed and then cut the mind link.
Ugh.
âAlpha!â Edmond burst inside my room which earned a glare from me. He immediately bowed and lowered his head.
âT-thereâs someone very important by the gates seeking for entranceâ he said with fear evident in his voice. I raised a brow.
âWho is it?â I asked. He looked at me hesitantly.
âThe Princeâ he said. My brows furrowed. A royalty at my gates? This must be a joke.
âAre you sure?â I asked him. He nodded.
âWhat does he need then? Is he looking for my father?â I asked. He shook his head.
âHeâsâ¦looking for youâ he said worried. My brows furrowed once more.
Me?
I held my head high before looking into Edmondâs eyes.
âAlright. Summon everyone and let them know of the situationâ I said. He nodded and bowed before leaving.
I looked at the moon once more.
A Prince?
What could this possibly be?
I then went down to everyone and surely enough, everyone was in the living room on one of their knees with their heads bowed low.
âAlphaâ they acknowledged my presence through mind link.
âDo not worryâ I assured them before standing in the middle facing the closed door. I motioned Edmond to open the door as we I lowered my head in respect to this âroyaltyâ.
I immediately felt the fear of my pack when the strong aura became even more evident but somehow it was familiar to me.
âLiviâ Edmond called onto me through the mind link worried.
âItâll be okayâ I assured him.
âHis Majestyâ someone announced and I bowed my head in submission.
Soon enough, someone entered and stood in front of me. But his scent was so damn familiar and it took everything in me not to meet his eyes.
âLiviana Crestâ he said which made my eyes widen. That voice. I know that voice. It canât be.
âLook at meâ he demanded. I didnât comply immediately.
Oh please moon goddess.
âLook at me!â he said more sternly. I looked at him meeting his eyes. He smiled.
Luan Grey.
âHi, sweetheartâ he whispered into my ear which sent shivers down my spine. I clenched my jaw.
âI told you Iâll be comingâ he mind linked me. I stared at him stopping myself trying not to freak out.
He came in closer and I stood my ground. He wrapped one of his arms around my waist and buried his face on my neck. I clenched my jaw at the sudden sensation.
I saw how everyone in the room reacted towards his sudden action. Specially, my men who were ready to protect me.
âStand downâ I reminded them through mind link. They bowed their heads lower.
âMineâ he said sternly which made everyone gasp. Even his own men seemed surprised.
This motherfcker, really.
âShall we take this to my office, yourâ¦majestyâ I suggested as composed as I can. He chuckled but nodded.
I motioned Edmond to stand and lead the way to my office and he did.
We followed him and opened the door for us. I let âthe Princeâ enter first before coming in.
Edmond stood behind me with his head lowered in respect. I stood there and lowered my head as well.
âWhat made you pay a visit, yourâ¦Majesty?â I said still in disbelief that heâs a prince.
âWell, after youâve ran away from me twice, I figured Iâd have to do something about it, donât I?â he said. I smirked in disbelief.
âIs there anything we can help you with, your Majesty?â I said ignoring his last remark.
âWell, maybe I should start first by talking to your Alpha. Where is he?â he said.
âHeâs on a mission somewhere far away, your Majesty. I am the acting Alpha at his absenceâ I explained.
There was no damn way Iâm telling this excuse for a royalty that my father has been missing for a while now.
âYou? The Alpha?â he said.
âYes, your Majestyâ I said.
âWell thenâ he said and sat on my swivel chair.
âEveryone, leave. Except youâ he said pointing at me. Edmond looked at me and I gave him an assuring smile.
âIâll be okay. Check on the othersâ I mind linked him. He nodded and left along with Greyâs men and we were left alone in my office.
Almost immediately after everyone was gone, he pulled me to straddle his h**s and buried his face on my neck while holding onto my waist.
I felt the sparks at his touch.
âSo sweetâ he muttered as he sniffed my neck. It took everything in me not to push him away and just jump out of the window. Instead, I tried to stand but he gripped my waist tighter and kept me in place.
âWhat do you want?â I said squirming in his grasp. He chuckled.
âYouâ he said and looked into my eyes.
âIâm sorry. I canât, your majestyâ I said sternly. He growled at me.
âWhat do you mean you canât?â he said pissed off.
Suddenly, the telephone in my office rang. His attention shifted to it which was my cue to get up from him so I did.
He snarled at me and I answered the call.
âHello?â the voice from the other line said. I gulped. Iâd recognize that voice anywhere.
Blake.
âHey. Iâll call you back laterâ I said nervous now. I knew Grey was hearing our call and I hoped he wouldnât know who it was because he was pissed.
âLivi? Thank ghad. Weâve been worried sick about youâ Blake said from the other line.
âIâm sorry but I really need to call you back. Iâm in the middle of somethingâ I said. He sighed.
âOkay, then. Call me back, okay? I love youâ he said. I glanced at Grey and he was not happy. Not one bit.
âIâIâll call you backâ I said and hang up before facing Grey. He stood from the swivel chair while staring at me with piercing eyes.
âWho was that?â he asked in growling and pissed as he approached me. He put his hands on the table, caging me in his arms.
I looked at him straight in the eyes.
âMind your own businessâ I said sternly. His eyes glowed green and growled at me. I didnât give him the satisfaction of intimidation or fear.
Iâm not submitting to him. Atleast, not when my people canât see us.
âWatch your words, womanâ he warned me.
I glared at him.
