Liviana’s POV

I woke up to the sun’s ray hitting my face.

Then I continued to hug my pillow—huh?

I slowly opened my eyes only to see Luan sleeping beside me while I snuggled into him.

My face flushed red but I almost exploded when I realized that we were both not wearing any clothing.

The comforter is the only thing covering the both of us.

Oh my goddess…

We did it.

We actually did it.

I gulped.

I carefully tried to get out of bed as I searched for my clothes.

“You’re awake”

I turned to look at Luan in surprise as he slowly opened his eyes to look at me.

Then, he smiled.

My heart skipped a beat as I felt more drawn to him than I was before.

“Come here” he said and gently pulled me back to him.

“It’s too early to get up” he said as he wrapped me in his arm amd snuggled his face on my neck.

He started placing gentle k****s on my neck then once he placed a k**s on the mark, I felt extreme tingles in mh body.

Yes, I remember now.

We’re finally marked.

After everything, I agreed to be marked by my mate.

I gulped.

That means….we’re basically inseparable at this point.

“What’s wrong? You seem tensed. I can feel it in our bond too” Luan pointed out.

I looked at him helplessly.

“We’re marked” I stated and he nodded as he looked at me worried.

“We are. Are you not happy?” he asked with a hint of pain and disappointment in his voice. I shook my head.

“That’s not it” I said.

“Then what’s wrong?” he asked gently.

“I’m still Crescent Moon’s Alpha. If we’re marked, we can no longer do what we usually do. We need to be as close to each other as possible” I explained.

Luan gave me a small smile before tucking a lose strand of my hair behind my ear.

“Don’t worry. I don’t plan on taking you away from your pack” he assured me.

“But you’re the prince, remember? At some point, you’ll take over the throne” I reminded him.

“And you’re the princess, remember? We don’t know what fate will bring us still. But whatever it is, we’ll stay by each other’s side no matter what” he said and planted a k**s on my forehead.

I snuggled into him closer as I hugged him.

I felt like I was where I belonged.

Beside my mate.

Luan and I got up after a while of cuddling in bed although he really didn’t want to.

I needed to get back to the pack and he needed to pack his things so he can stay with me in the pack house.

He said he didn’t like staying in their place anyway and would rather stay at Crescent Moon’s afpck house since I stay there despite having to constantly bicker with my uncle.

Speaking of my uncle, I’m sure he’ll completely freak out when we get back and I already have been marked.

Not to mention, I’ve also mated with Luan.

I’m not sure if I should be embarrassed or what because I didn’t quite plan this now, did I?

On top of that, I need to hold a pack leaders’ meeting to inform them of the situation and assure them that I’ll remain as their Alpha.

Luan and I still have time, anyway.

He only gets to claim the throne at 21.

Well, unless something happens to his father that is.

Then, there’s me.

We still don’t know what will happen from here on.

I have yet to meet my biological father.

And like the my mother and the moon goddess had told me…

I’m destined to bring Lunar and Halo together.

“I’m ready” Luan said with his duffle bag in his hands.

I chuckled.

“Let’s go” I said and Luan held pulled me to his side and held me by the waist as we walked out of his room.

“Oh! Are you two leaving al—wait” Abe paused then looked at Beau.

“You guys are…” Beau muttered.

“Finally marked” they both said in unison.

Luan pulled me closer to his side with a smug smile on his face.

“What about it?” Luan said with a proud smirk.

I just wanted to wipe off that expression of his.

It’s like the dude won the lottery.

“Congrats, dude” Beau said and tapped Luan’s shoulder.

“And you both did it last night huh” Abe said with a teasing smile. I blushed in embarrassment as I looked away making the twins chuckle.

“Princess Liviana” they both suddenly said and I looked at them in surprise as they both bowed their heads to me.

My heart started racing.

I knew they called me that because I’m officially mated to Luan now and he’s a prince.

But it still scares me, I guess.

It was not the time for anyone to find out my true identity just yet.

I felt Luan squeeze my side lightly to calm me down and started rubbing his thumb on my side to soothe me.

“Knock it off, you guys” Luan said sternly and the twins did as they were told.

“Anyway, I’ll be staying at Liviana’s from now on. I’ll return here every now and then to get my stuff. But if anything comes up, let me know” he said and the nodded.

Then, Cassandra suddenly appeared.

She looked at us with a wide smile but it quickly faded and turned into a surprised look as she observed.

“Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! KYAAAAAH!” she squealed excitedly.

“You’re both officially mated” she stated excitedly as she shook Abe and Beau happily.

Then, she rushed to me and hugged me.

“Finally! Congratulations to the both of you. I’m so happy for you guys” she said with a smile.

“Thank you” I said a little shyly.

After that, Luan and I rode his car back to the pack house.

“You do realize how everyone will react when we come back, right?” I asked Luan and he nodded.

“Of course, I do. You did make it very clear that you won’t be marked by me anytime soon. Yet…” he said and grinned at me.

“Don’t you even dare continue that” I warned him and he chuckled as I blushed furiously.

How embarrassing it is being teased like this by him.

It’s true that I was very clear in stating my opinion about not wanting to be marked.

Now, I am.

And on top of that, Luan is going to stay at the pack house with me from now on since we can’t be separated for long.

It would weaken both our wolves and would drive us insane even.

That’s how it is.

That’s how the mate bond works.

We have no choice.

But we wanted this.

I wanted this.

And I’m not going to deny that.

I badly wanted to be claimed by Luan like this.

Although I still worry about the pack, I know now how much Luan supports me in my decisions.

And I feel lucky and thankful for him.

I really do.

That’s why I’ll strive to be the kind of mate that will show my support and dedication to him just like he does to me.

After all, we are officially mated to each other and no one can separate us.

“My uncle might become hostile if he finds out” I said in a low tone. Luan sighed.

“I know” he said.

“But I won’t let him hurt you. You’ll need to give us some time to talk it out. By now, you should know how he is. He’s the only family member I have right now after all” I said and he nodded.

“I know” Luan said and reached for my hand as he lightly squeezed it.

“I don’t even mind getting hurt by him anymore anyway” he said with a shrug making me frown.

“I do mind” I said with a pout making Luan chuckle.

“He’s protective of you. I get it. You’re both family after all” he said in understanding.

“When I think about it now, if we had a daughter and I found out about her mate as well, I wouldn’t have easily accepted him. I’d want to constantly protect our daughter no matter what. I think that’s how your uncle feels. I understand that” he further explained and I looked at him a little stunned.

“You’re suddenly bringing up having a daughter” I said baffled and he chuckled.

“Well, who knows if soon that will actually happen” he said and winked at me.

My jaw dropped to the ground.

“You—” I said and stopped as I realized.

He was right.

There’s a big chance that I might become pregnant so soon.

We didn’t use protection after all.

But we haven’t even graduated yet.

Oh my freaking ghad.

Why didn’t I think of that?

I glared at Luan and he just shrugged at me.

I looked at the window with a gloomy expression.

I’m so stupid.

We really forgot to use protection.

What am I supposed to do if I get pregnant then?

Now, I feel like breaking down.

We finally reached the pack house and Luan opened the door for me like always.

We stood in front of the double doors and I took a deep calming breath.

Everything is going to be okay.

It’s going to be just fine.

Right?

As soon as I opened the door and came in, I saw Dante, Edmond, El, Theresa and Ellie in the living room.

Once my eyes met with theirs, there was a sudden shift in the air and their eyes widened in surprise.

“Livi…” they muttered but Dante only looked at me with a shocked expression as he stood up.

I tried to keep my composure although I wanted just brush off the situation.

I pulled Luan to go behind me as Dante approached us but he tried to resist.

“Just stand back, Luan. Please” I mind linked him.

Dante reached us and he stood in front of us with a calm expression then sighed.

“You’re back” Dante said and gave me a k**s on the top of my head.

“Did you have breakfast before you went here?” he asked so casually.

I stared at him baffled.

“Aren’t you mad?” I asked hesitantly. Dante glanced at Luan and I then sighed.

“I don’t want to talk about that. You can talk about it to them later on but not to me. Atleast, for now” he said sternly and I gulped and nodded.

“Let’s have breakfast together” he said softly and I nodded.

Dante glanced at Luan with a blank expression.

“You too. Might as well join us” he said in an annoyed tone to Luan.

Huh?

Could he have anticipated this to happen?
