Livianaâs POV
âIâll be baitâ Dante suggested.
My brows furrowed.
âNo. You will not be a âbaitâ in this plan. Iâm not going to risk itâ I said firmly.
âLiviana, itâs the only way to make this plan workâ he insisted.
I glared at him.
âItâs a noâ I said.
Dante sighed.
âLivianaâ he said softly as he took a step towards me.
I took a step back.
âNO!â I growled.
Dante stopped as he looked at me.
âIâm not going to risk your life to save my parents. I refuse to do what you wantâ I said as I clenched my fists.
âI canât lose you so I can get them back. Youâre all family. Iâm not risking anyoneâs life except mine if I have toâ I said.
Danteâs brows furrowed.
âLivianaâ he said in a stern voice.
I sighed.
âLetâs call it a dayâ I said and walked out.
I went to my room and plopped down the bed then buried my face into my pillow.
Itâs been a few days since we returned from the palace.
We have since then been planning the escape plan to get Pa and King Kale out of there.
It hasnât been easy.
There were a lot of loop holes in the plan.
A lot of risks.
And it wouldâve been fine if it was just me involved.
But no.
My uncle was too.
We were able to acquire the visual of the palace premises because of Luan.
I ended up accessing his memories when he was sleeping.
As much as I hated using my ability on him, it couldnât be helped.
We needed to know everything we must about the area of the palace to find an escape route.
But we could only find a few escape routes.
There was a lot of guards and warriors that roamed the premises.
There was a huge chance that weâd get caught.
There was a knock on the door and when it opened, I saw Luan.
âHeyâ Luan greeted softly as he made his way to me.
âYou havenât had dinner yetâ he said as he sat on my bedside.
âIâm not hungryâ I said.
Luan frowned.
âYou havenât been eating well these days. Whatâs wrong?â Luan asked worried.
âI justâ¦I donât feel like eatingâ I lied.
Iâm anxious.
Really really anxious.
âBut you have to eat, babyâ Luan cooed.
I cringed at him and chuckled.
Luan pouted and I rolled my eyes.
âCome on. Letâs get you something to eatâ he said and I squeaked when he scooped me up the bed lifted me up bridal style.
âLuan!â I scolded but he only laughed.
I pouted and sighed.
Luan carried me out of my room and downstairs to the living room.
At this time, everyone has already gone to their rooms.
Luan put me down on a kitchen stool.
âI have legs, you knowâ I said with a chuckle.
Luan smiled.
âI know but you donât need them when Iâm aroundâ he said and winked at me.
I chuckled.
What a show off.
Luan started taking out stuff and I looked at him with my brows furrowed.
âWhat are you going to do?â I asked.
Luan looked at me.
âIâm cooking you dinnerâ he said witj a shrug.
I burst out laughing.
Luan looked at me with his brows furrowed.
âWhat?â he asked annoyed.
I looked at him as I wiped my imaginary tears away.
âCook? You? I doubt youâve ever done such a thingâ I said.
Luan frowned at me.
âI watched a few videos earlier. Iâm a quick learner and I can do anything if I put my mind into itâ he said determined.
I smiled.
Heâs cute.
âAll right. Tell me when I may be of assistance thenâ I offered.
Luan shook his head.
âI can do it by myself. I want you to just sit there and watch meâ Luan said smugly.
I slightly smirked.
Uh-huh
It wonât be long till he actually asks for help.
Iâm sure his majesty has never experienced how to cook and watching simple videos isnât it.
I watched Luan as he struggled to figure out the ingredients but doesnât bother to ask me anything.
âNeed any help, your majesty?â I asked and he shook his head.
âNoâ he said and I just shrugged.
Fine, then.
From the ingredients he took out, Iâm guessing heâs making me some mac and cheese.
Interesting.
I watched as Luan turned the stove on and started to heat some water then added the macaroni in the pot.
So far so good.
âYou sure youâre not going to burn the pack house down, your majesty?â I teased.
Luan pouted at me.
âHave some faith in me, loveâ Luan said.
I chuckled.
âFine. Fine. Fineâ I said and kept quiet as Luan continued to cook.
I would only chuckle and laugh if there was something wrong and Luam would refuse my help.
After forever, he finally finished and served me his mac and cheese.
Luan handed me a spoon as he sat down beside me.
I tasted the mac and cheesed and froze.
I t tastedâ¦
It tastedâ¦
âHow does it taste?â Luan asked hopeful.
âMhm-hmmâ I hummed refusing to swallow.
Luan grabbed the spoon from me and tasted his food with a hopeful smile on his face.
It immediately faded when he took a bit od his mac and cheese and he turned to me as he spit out his food.
âBaby, spit that out right nowâ he said frantically.
I shook my head.
I tried my best to convince myself to swallow it atleast.
âBaby, it tastes horrible. Spit it outâ he sqid as he held my face and forced me to spit the food out.
I shook my head again.
Then, I swallowed.
âLiviana!â he scolded.
I tried not to barf amd forced a smile.
âYumâ I said.
Luan burst out laughing.
I stared as he laughed his a** off.
âBaby, you didnât have to eat itâ he said as he pulled me to his lap.
âYou cooked for the first time. The least I can do is to actually eat itâ I said.
Luan smiled as he turned me around to face him.
He tucked a lose strand of my hair behind my ear.
âYouâre literally so cuteâ he said as he lightly pinched my cheek.
âIâm not cuteâ I whined.
I playfully rolled my eyes and we both chuckled.
âI love youâ he suddenly said as he stared straight into my eyes.
I blushed and smiled.
I leaned in to k**s Luan.
Luan was holding me by the waist while my hands were placed above his shoulders.
He pulled me closer to him as he pressed his body close to mine.
It was a deep and passionate k**s.
It spoke of our feelings more than words ever can.
It was breathtaking.
âOh my freaking! Get a fcking room, guys!â
Luan and I separated and we turned to look at who suddenly came.
It was El.
I flushed red.
âWay to ruin the fcking mood, Elâ Luan said with a frown.
El shrugged as he made his way to get a glass of water.
âGuys, the kitchen isnât a make out roomâ he reminded with a chuckle then left.
I hid my face on Luanâs neck and he chuckled.
Luan lifted me a little and he wrapped my legs on his waist while sitting down the kitchen stool so that Iâm straddling him.
âShould we go out to get some takeouts?â Luam suggested.
I shook my head.
âIâll cook instead. Iâll even teach you how to make something edibleâ I said.
Luan smiled.
âSounds goodâ he said and gave me a peck on the lips.
We both got up and started preparing some ingredients.
I was going to teach him to make an actual mac and cheese that wouldnât poison me.
Luan stood behind as I held both his hands to guide him while cooking.
âThis must be one of the most memorable life experience in my lifeâ Luan said with a chuckle.
âWhat are the others?â I asked curiously.
âWell, thereâs meeting you. Thereâs also being marked and mated by you. Then, thereâs when I was a kid, I used to sneak out of secret passages in the palace and suchâ he said with a chuckle.
I paused.
Secret passages?
I didnât go far enough into his memory as a child to see that.
I bit my lower l*p.
âReally? How old were you when you did that?â I asked.
This might be the answer to our problem at hand.
âI think was about 11. I did it for fun and I loved just being able to get out every now and then from the palace and play outside like an actual childâ he said a little sadly.
I turned to look at Luan and gave him a peck.
Luan smiled.
We finished up cooking the mac and cheese and ate together.
It turned out pretty good considering I was there to cook it with him.
After that, we came upstairs and into our room then snuggled into each other.
âGoodnight, loveâ Luan said and gave me a k**s on the top of my head.
I smiled.
âGoodnightâ I said as I closed my eyes.
After a while, I felt Luan really fall asleep.
I stared at him for a moment and sighed.
âIâm sorryâ I whispered as I touched his head and accessed his memories.
I went back to when he was a child and tried to find his memories of the secret passages.
From 7 years ago.
Then, I found it.
Bingo.
The final piece to our escape plan.
