Livianaâs POV
âShower as soon as you get home. Donât get sickâ Dad reminded me.
I nodded.
âI wonât. Go back safely, dadâ I told him.
âI willâ he said and gave me a k**s on the forehead.
âTake care, princess. Dad loves youâ he said and I smiled as I waved him goodbye.
I made my way back to the pack house.
At this hour, Iâm sure everyone was already asleep.
Iâll have to make a pack announcement early in the morning to let everyone know that itâs okay to go out.
Atleast for now.
I know heâll be back.
He already knows the truth.
He just needs me to confirm it for him.
But I wonât do that.
King Luis is even more dangerous than I thought he was.
I went inside the pack house and my eyes met with a pair of green ones.
I saw worry flash in his eyes as he stood up.
âLivianaâ Luan said as he made his way to him.
I ignored him and quickly went to a guest room and locked the door even before Luan can follow me.
âLiviana, pleaseâ Luan said from the other side of the door as he knocked.
âGo to bed, Grey. I donât want to talk to youâ I said as I took out a robe from the closet.
âIâm sorry, okay? I shouldâve talked to you about the matter properly. I was upset. You kept something so important a secret from me. It feels like you donât even trust me so I was disappointedâ he said from the other side.
I chuckled in disbelief.
âWould I have let you mark me if I didnât trust you? Would I have let you stay in my pack territory if I didnât trust you? Would I have let you bring me in that party that night if I didnât trust you? Tell me, what else should I do to make you feel that I trust you? Iâve let you in my life no matter how difficult it was because of the situationâ I said.
He was silent for a moment and I smirked in disbelief.
âJust go, Grey. I donât have the energy to argue with you tonight or tomorrow or the next days. Iâm already at my lowest. I canât do this anymoreâ I said weakly as I went inside the bathroom.
I took a long warm shower.
I need a recharge.
I feel really drained.
To think that everything will go smoothly from here on.
I sighed.
I got out of the shower and put on the robe before going to bed.
I really have to do something about this soon.
I canât face King Luis like this.
If I do, the people Iâve been trying my best to protect might end up in danger
I tucked myself in and forced myself to sleep.
But then, I found myself in the woods.
I looked around.
Why am I here?
Then, I heard rustling in the bushes around me.
Suddenly, a group of wolves came out of the bushes surrounding me from all sides.
I took a defensive stance as they cornered me.
They arenât rogues.
They donât smell like rogues.
But what scent is this?
Think, Liviana.
Think.
Then, I realized where Iâve encountered it before.
Earlier today and from that day with Luanâs uncle.
Royal guards.
Why are they here?
How did they come in without alarming my guards?
They growled and snarled at me as they circled me.
I clenched my fists as I stayed alert of their actions.
Then, one wolf after another lunged at me and I tried my hardest to dodge them all.
They were fast.
Surely, they were well trained for combat in the palace.
I managed to dodge about 3 of them until I caught one by its canines and I threw it to the 2 that was about to attack me.
I was having a hard time with their speed and number.
I couldnât change into my wolf.
They can easily target me and Iâll be left vulnerable.
In my human form, I can move more freely and twist and turn without any problem and Iâll be a smaller target.
It wouldnât have been a problem for me if they were normal wolves or just rogues.
But they werenât.
They were all well trained and equipped guards and warriors of the King.
After bringing down about 2 more wolves, the others kept attacking.
Luckily, I was keeping up just fine untilâ¦
âFck!â I cussed when one wolf slipped passed me and bit into my shoulder.
I reached for its head and started punching it with all my might until it whimpered and let me go.
I grabbed it by its neck and flipped backwards landing on its back.
I quickly twisted its neck as it fell to the ground with its last breath.
The b***d from my shoulder dripped down my arm as it started healing its own.
No one wasted their time as they attacked me as a group.
I struggled to fight them off with my throbbing and bleeding shoulder.
And just when I was about to grab hold of another wolf, I felt a sudden change in the air.
Then, I felt something sting on my back as it pierced through my skin.
I jumped away from them and when I landed and turned, I saw Luanâs uncle.
He had something in his hand and suddenly, everything started to become a blur.
Whatâs happening?
My knees weakened and I tried to run but couldnât.
Everything was spinning around me.
What the hell happened to me?
I fell to me knees and then my whole body fell forward as I laid on the ground.
No.
I need to get up.
I need to fight.
I need to run.
This canât happen.
âGoodnight, your majestyâ I heard someone say and then everything went blank.
What the hell is happening?
Is this some type of nightmare.
But why does it feel so real?
Why do I feel the pain?
Why am I not waking up?
I tried to open my eyes.
Come on.
I need to wake up.
When I succeeded in opening my eyes, I could only see a tiny bit of light from a lit torch on the side.
Where am I?
âYouâre awakeâ someone said from the dark.
I weakly lifted my head up only to meet satanâs buddy.
âHad a good sleep?â he said with a creepy smile on his face.
Thank ghad the twins nor Cassandra didnât take after him in the looks section.
This man looked like a living psychopath.
Just like his brother.
King Luis.
âW-where am I?â I managed to ask weakly.
âYouâreâ¦at the kingâs mercyâ he said and smirked.
My brows furrowed.
Iâve beenâ¦kidnapped?
How could I let this happen?
âYouâ¦you donât know who youâre dealing withâ I said as I glared at him.
âOh Iâm so scared. What are you going to do? Will you tell your dead parents?â he asked with a chuckle.
I frowned as my b***d boiled.
âWatch your words. I can rip your pathetic head off of your useless body once I get out of hereâ I threatened.
He laughed in a sinister way as I scowled at him.
âYouâre funny. How could a weak she-wolf like yourself, behead a wolf of my ranking and experience?â he said smugly.
I smirked.
âShall I show you?â I said as I charged forward only to be held back by the chains in my chair.
He laughed.
Then, suddenly the metal doors behind him opened and in came the devil.
King Luis.
âWhat a pleasant sightâ he said and I growled at him.
But then, everything turned black once more.
I opened my eyes and I saw myself in an unfamiliar place.
âYou canât run nowâ
I turned to see King Luis as he stared straight at me with a smirk on his face with his men cornering me.
I clenched my fists.
There was cliff behind me.
One wrong step and Iâm gone.
âYou can never rule over this territory . Iâll make sure of thatâ he said as he grabbed a bow and arrow from his men.
The bow pierced through my chest and I gasped as the pain took over my body.
I jolt awake.
I was sweating all over as I breathed in and out rapidly.
What was that?
Why did it all feel so real?
Like I was actually there?
Like it actually happened?
âLiviana?â
I looked at the door as I heard the knocking.
It was Luan.
He was still outside?
How long was I asleep?
âLiviana!â he said and the door was forcibly opened.
My eyes met with his as I saw worry in them.
He rushed to my side as he held me.
âWhat happened?â he asked worried.
Your father killed me.
âIt was a nightmareâ I simply said.
Luan sighed as he held my face and caressed it.
âHow long were you waiting outside?â I asked him curiously.
âHours, I think. I fell asleep but woke up when I heard you gaspâ he explained.
I looked at Luan.
I missed this kind of distance between us.
I couldnât help myself anymore as I held Luanâs face.
âIâm sorryâ I finally said.
Luan slightly smiled as he put his forehead on mine.
âAnd Iâm sorryâ he said making me smile.
âLetâs notâ¦fight anymoreâ I said and he nodded.
âI agreeâ he said and we both chuckled.
Luan and I went to bed together as he held me in his embrace.
My head was on his chest as I felt his warmth take over my body.
âI missed thisâ he suddenly said.
âI did tooâ I said.
âWhat did you dream about?â he asked.
I gulped.
âI already forgotâ I lied and he chuckled as he held me even closer to him. If thatâs even possible.
âDonât worry, Iâm here nowâ he said and I smiled.
Luan and I laid there together until I felt him fall asleep.
But I couldnât.
That dreamâ¦.
It didnât feel like a dream.
Itâs like it actually happened.
Like it was actually happening.
Or is it becauseâ¦it was going to happen?
If itâs not a nightmareâ¦
Then is it what I think it is?
Is itâ¦a foresight?
