I'm not going to lie, the drive to the new house has me kinda nervous. I know that Kaden likes extravagant, and whilst he's promised me multiple times between his cheeky little kisses that the house is quaint, and homey, I have a strong feeling we both have very different definitions of those two words.
He had hoped that I would adore the old house which was a log mansion, and I know how much he loved that house and I'll admit I did too. I loved the kitchen where we teased each other over breakfast, or our bedroom where he held me tightly at night. My favourite room was our ensuite bathroom where the dumbass finally plucked up the nerve to apologise and kiss me senseless. Hell, I even liked the living room where we fell out, because the sofa was so comfortable and that argument made us feel real.
But it was too big, it wasn't homely, too many of the rooms were unused and empty. It was the kind of place you went for a family vacation with all four of your children, as well as the grandkids for Christmas. It was a house that needed to be occupied by laughing and cooking and multiple people in different rooms around the house, the sounds of their various activities filling the void between each room.
Two people wasn't enough to make that a reality.
Kaden easily beat me to the car, and I would like to say it was because I stopped and watched his ass from behind in those tight suit pants as he ran, but I can't because I'd only be partly lying.
I did that after I tripped over a loose paving stone whilst we were neck and neck in the final stretch of back alley, and I just sat on the floor and watched him to see if he noticed I wasn't right next to him.
The dumb man was so hell bent on winning he didn't notice until he turned to his right to gloat at his win, did he notice I wasn't beside him at all, dangling the keys at him with a weak smile as I stayed sat on the floor.
He just grinned at me before walking back over and picking me up, taking the keys from my hand and sauntering towards the car with me in his arms.
"Don't make a bet you can't win, Luna." Kaden grins, kissing me softly as he puts me down in the passenger seat.
My cheeks warm at the sound of him calling me Luna, and I wait patiently for him to get in the car and drive to the new house.
My palms are sweating, because I desperately want to love the house, and I want it to be somewhere where I can see us settling, even if these plans are way into our future. I want to be surrounded by the pack, in the centre of the action. I don't want our house to be in the middle of nowhere like the old one, a long drive between ourselves and civilisation.
He drives around the park and into a large housing estate, and I begin to get excited.
"This is where nearly all of the pack live." He explains, waving to some of the pack wolves as they stop and bow to their alpha. "Because the majority of our territory is woodland, this is where we set up town, and this is where we wanted to stay all those centuries ago."
"Obviously with some modernisation." I chuckle quietly to myself as we pass a Walmart express in the centre of the cul-de-sac. "I'm pretty sure Walmart wasn't around a couple of centuries ago."
"Obviously there have been modernisations." He glares jokingly at me, his hand settling on my thigh. "But this was where the first houses were built, and we just built on top of them."
He rounds the corner and reveals one of the most beautiful houses I've ever seen, a large SOLD sign sticking out of the grass on its neatly trimmed lawn.
It's two stories made from grey brick, with a garage and a large front porch separated from the lush lawn by a wooden fence. There are hanging baskets filled with sweet smelling, vibrant flowers dangling from the porch roof.
I can see the park right behind the house, acting as a large extension to the back garden I can see peeking out from behind the garage.
It's beautiful, but not huge, definitely a place that can be made into a home we can both love.
"Well?" Kaden says slowly as he pulls into the driveway. He switches off the ignition and swivels in his seat to face me, his eyes full of worry. I can tell he's nervous about the possibility of me not liking this house, and I have a feeling that it's not really his style.
With his fancy range rover; smart expensive clothes and three story log cabin in the woods, I get the feeling he's a fan of the extravagent, expensive side of life, and unless this house has an underground batcave, I wouldn't pin this kind of thing on him.
"I love it." I say truthfully, leaning across the centre console and kissing him gently on the lips, burying my hands in his hair. He tastes like coffee and lemonade, his skin warm as his hands roam my face. I pull away eventually and rest my forehead against his, my breathing slightly heavy. "I know that it isn't very you, but thank you for this."
"If you're happy then I'm happy." He mumbles, pressing his lips to my temple before unbuckling our seatbelts. "But the day is young, and you haven't even seen the inside."
"Should I be excited?" I squeal, barely able to supress it.
He chuckles before opening the door. "Definitely, Lola. Definitely."

The inside is more beautiful than the outside, with the place having a very modern, homey feel to it. With dark oak floorboards, and large open spaces filled with light, this house is to die for. I circle in wonder, only having stepped foot in the large, bright foyer. The stiarcase to upstairs is tucked away in the corner, with a three hundred and sixty degree balcony above.
I can hear Kaden laughing at my antics beside me, and I turn to glare at him before jumping into his arms and peppering his face with kisses. "I. Love. This. House!" I exclaim between each kiss to his face, before finally settling on his lips. His grip around my waist tightens as he deepens our kiss, and I drag my fingers through his thick black hair.
"You haven't even seen the rest of the house." He mutters breathlessly, and I reluctantly pull away nodding slowly. "But I can promise you we'll continue that once we get to the bedroom."
I blush and bury my face in his neck, his laugh vibrating through my body as he carries me through the open arch towards another room. He puts me down in the centre of the room, and allows me to marvel at the beauty this house possesses.
The kitchen is modern, with marble worktops and stainless steel appliances, with an island counter separating it from the dining room. The floors are tiles of black marble to match the counters, but the big open windows make the place feel open and friendly instead of gloomy and sinister like the colours suggest.
"It's beautiful." I gush, running my hands along the counter tops. They're cold and smooth to my touch, and I turn around to see Kaden looking at me.
"I know."
I smile and slip my hand into his before dragging him through the dining room. "I want to see the TV."
He lets me drag him round a house he's no doubt already seen, and allows me to gasp in awe at every room like a little child giddy at Christmas.
But he never looks bored at my reaction, it only makes his heart beat faster in his chest. I can hear it hammering against his ribcage very time he looks at me, and his pulse feels heavy in my hand when I intertwine it with mine.
I can't take the smile from my face.
He eventually leads me down through a door in the kitchen into the basement. I half expected it to be full of crap from the old owners, dust and old rotting wood falling from the ceiling like the roof at my old pack house back in CrescentMoon territory.
We inherited the dingy basement from my grandparents, who had shoved everything down there when they redecorated the house. It was full of old junk and antique furniture that was either ripped or coloured with dust and mould.
To say I was shocked was an understatement.
It looks like Kaden has ripped a page out of Divergent and built a dauntless training room under our house, the room stocked with training equipment from punching bags to treadmills, weights and mirrors, to a dance theatre with a very expensive looking speaker system. In the middle of the room sits a new, slique looking boxing gym fitted out wth fresh white ropes and a floor left unmarked by trainers or blood.
"Let me guess, you sent these plans especially to the homeowner, who built this in under an hour?" I smirk, bouncing on my heels in excitement. Kaden just shrugs, a glint in his eyes that I can't place before he cracks his knuckles and unbuttons his shirt slowly, taunting me.
"Fancy a quick spar session?"
I'm shamelessly looking at his chest, but I've got to the point where I don't care if I get caught. He's my mate, I'm allowed to stare, or gawk, or whatever you want to use to describe it.
He's mine, and I want to marvel him. I want to marvel every slope of his muscles, admire the way they were prominent and strong. I can't take my eyes off of his distinct v lines disappearing underneath the waistline of his suit pants.
I don't want to take my eyes off him.
"Lola?" He teases, placing his hands on my waist, startling me to look up. "Do you want to spar with me?"
I nod dumbly and pull his hoodie over my head along with my pyjama top, leaving me in my sports bra and jeans. I figured it was only fair to level the playing field, giving him something to stare at in hopes it would catch him off guard and I could strike.
Hopefully my plan doesn't backfire on me. "Sorry, I was distracted. Let's do this."
I haven't trained in a while, my body aching for the chance to let off some steam. Going from the levels of intensive training my father put me through, to lounging around doing nothing is a massive step down. I'm pretty sure that if I wasn't a werewolf I'd be developing a roll of stomach fat. Our super fast metabolism means it's almost impossible to become fat. You'd have to eat the entire McDonald's menu four times whilst ingesting a kilogram of wolfsbane for it to happen.
I think Kaden forgets that I'm an incredibly good fighter because he bounces on the balls of his feet in the centre of the ring, a soft smile on his face. "We'll start on some basic throws."
"Can I be rewarded every time I get it right?" I tease, pressing my body against his and kissing his lips softly. His hands go to my waist, and I'm near certain he's going to push this forwards.
Until he sweeps my legs out from underneath me, and I land softly on the floor, Kaden's large frame hovering above me. My eyes widen in shock at the fact he judo flipped me onto the floor.
"I'll consider it once you actually start concentrating." He grins boyishly before pressing his lips to mine quickly. He jumps to his feet and pulls me up before readying his stance again, taunting me with the beckoning of his fingers.
Smirking, I repeat every action he asks me to, from jabs and punches to throws and kicks. It's exhausting but refreshing, the familiar ache of my muscles a welcome feeling. I've missed training, and training with a shirtless Kaden definitely has its perks.
His body is dripping with sweat, as is mine, and his hair is wet and sticking to his skin. His eyes are dark with concentration as he delivers powerful blows for me to block and counter.
I'm loving how passionate and powerful he is, but training in jeans is becoming itchy and uncomfortable, and it's restricting the movement of my legs to the point it's getting frustrating.
I think Kaden can sense it because he halts his punches and gives me a slow kiss, my mouth savouring the taste of his lips, mixed with his sweat.
"One quick sparring match, and we'll finish when one of us is on the floor." He says after he breaks apart, my lips still tingling from his touch.
I nod and ready my stance, one fist leading whilst both cover my face. "What does the winner get?"
"Besides bragging rights?" Kaden chuckles, running his hands over his wet hair. He eyes darken, and a mischievous smirk breaks out on his face. "The winner gets to do whatever they want to the loser."
"Anything?" I gape, Shiva throwing multiple images of what she wants to do to Kaden around my head.
He nods, and then as quick as a flash all emotion drops from his face, and he advances towards me, determination the only thing in his eyes.
I haven't showed him how powerful I can actually be, so I play along with being semi good, my punches feeling too slow and restricted. But I watch how he works, where he stalls and where his weaknesses are.
It takes a few seconds, but I notice he strides forward when he attacks, his feet too wide to be balanced. If I'm fast enough, I can knock his leg and push him to the floor.
I back off from him, letting him think he has the upper hand. He thinks he's going to win, because a devilish smile fills his face as he goes on the offence.
Exactly what I wanted.
The second he steps forward I strike, slipping under his reach and grabbing his foot, taking him off balance before pushing him to the floor with all of my might. I pin his hands high above his head and settle comfortably on his waist.
"So I can do anything?" I tease, leaning down and leaving playful kisses along his jaw and neck.
Kaden could easily break the hold and turn the tables, but he doesn't. He lays perfectly still underneath me with a hungry look in his eye. He lets me hold his hands loosely, let's me trace the strength of his jaw with my lips all whilst groaning at my touch.
"Lola, please." He groans, his body squirming underneath mine. My hands have let go of his and started to trace lines down his chest. "Stop being a tease."
"Fine." I laugh before crashing my lips to his.
It's heated and dominated, Kaden holding my waist tightly whilst biting roughly on my bottom lip. He's holding my firmly in place, but I still have free reign over everything waist up. Free to run my fingers down his hot skin, tracing every dip and curve of his muscles. Free to nip at the skin of his neck as he groans, begging me not to stop.
I hear knocking at the door above us, but Kaden doesn't make any move to get the door, so neither do I. In fact, I make myself more comfortable, leaning down and pressing my whole body to Kaden's, his laboured breathing loud in my ears.
"Aren't you going to get that?" I tease, taking his earlobe between my teeth and pulling softly.
"Absolutely not." He growls before flipping our positions, my back pressed against the floor of the ring; my legs wrapped around his waist. "I can't think of anything I want to do less right now."
I smile and wrap my hands behind his neck, pulling him down and kissing him softly. "Thank the goddess." I mumble against his lips. I feel him grin against mine before pressing his body further into mine. The tug inside my stomach is building, my need for him growing as Shiva begins to take control, her arousal sky rocketing. She's sending multiple images of what she's going to do to him around my head, my body eager for what she hopes he'll do right back.
I hear a growl rip from deep within his throat, and I look to see his eyes, black from the control of his wolf. His kiss is more dominant, more possessive, his mouth fighting against mine for the upper hand as his tongue battles like his life depends on it.
The knocking continues, getting more persistent with each hammer of the fist, which has Kaden getting frustrated.
"Can't the pack leave me alone for five minutes whilst I attempt to show you affection?!" He barks angrily, loud enough for whoever is knocking to hear. I giggle into his neck, the whole thing hilarious. We're making out on a boxing ring floor, covered in sweat which is starting to enter the sticky stage, but neither of us have any intention of stopping, or moving this elsewhere.
The knocking stops, and the grin that Kaden has on his face is contagious. I'm grinning like a madwoman as he traces my jawline with his fingers, the pads of his fingertips gentle against my skin.
"Do you know how much you mean to me?" He asks me quietly, his eyes dragging slowly across my face, like he's trying to memorise every detail. "You mean everything."
I let my fingers play with the ends of his hair, a blush rising up on my cheeks at the sincerity of his words. He leans down and captures my lips with his, softly and tantalizingly slowly. His lips are warm and swollen, tasting of lucozade and sweat, a combination that is sending my mind into overdrive.
"Lola, I think I...." Kaden starts, but is cut off by the sound of Jasper's varitone voice echoing around the house.
"Guys, I know you're here."
Kaden's eyes flash red as he grumbles in anger. He kisses me one more time on the lips before untangling himself from me, and pulling his shirt back on whilst tossing me mine. He turns to look at me, a small smirk on his face. "This isn't finished."
"We'll see." I tease, watching as he tenses his jaw as his eyes drag over my half naked figure, before turning his attention to the door to the basement.
"Jasper this better be good or I swear to the fvcking goddess."

HOLA CHICOS/CHICAS
I'm proudly presenting their first steamy moment!! Nowhere near as awkward as scenes I've written for the rest of the book, but hey ho, you'll have to wait and read to see what I'm talking about.
Well..... WHAT DID YOU GUYS THINK OF THEIR HOUSE?!
Beautiful right?
Comment what you thought of the chapter, and anything you kind of feel doesn't sounds/look right.
PS, do you like Crystal Reed as Lola?? Any other suggestions for replacements if not.
PPS, if anyone knows/is a cover artist, can you let me know who they/you are because I really want a new cover for the book. So far I've made them and I fancy someting a little more, well, FANCY.
Until next time amigos,
Lauryn xoxo
