Chapter 674: The Auction Have Been Postponed
My Celestial Ascension
Once the job was done, Yuan looked at King Richard and Prince Tristan with a surprised expression, having been so focused on the monster that heâd completely ignored their presence.
"King Richard, Prince Tristanâitâs good to see you both doing well. Very well, in fact," Yuan said with a friendly smile as he recognized their familiar faces.
"Ah, Yuan! With Godâs blessing, weâre doing really well," King Richard replied with a small smile, retrieving his sword and securing it at his waist. "But it seems youâve grown even stronger. You eliminated that monster so easily!"
"Indeed," Prince Tristan added, his expression still filled with surprise. "I was speechless watching you. My eyes couldnât even keep up with your ludicrous speed."
In the blink of an eye, Yuan had reduced the monster to nothing more than a pile of mangled flesh, a testament to both his unparalleled swordsmanship and overwhelming powerâso much so that it hardly seemed real.
Yuan exchanged a few more words with King Richard and Prince Tristan before turning his attention elsewhere. Meanwhile, Valeria was sternly lecturing her younger brotherâEmperor Philipâin front of everyone.
"Iâm very disappointed in you, Philip. Youâre a disgrace to the family. You couldnât even contain a criminal during such an important event," Valeria said coldly, her voice devoid of emotion, her eyes sharp and unyielding toward her own brother.
"I hope you learn something from this and change. Remember, in this world, weakness is a sin. You must become strongâstrong enough to protect everyone. If you canât do that, then youâre unfit to be the Emperor of the Lionheart Empire."
Emperor Philip lowered his head in shame, unable to meet her gaze. He listened to her harsh words with a defeated look etched across his face.
"Make sure you get strongerâquickly. After what happened today, Iâm certain the Golden Skull Organization will cause even more trouble for our empire," Valeria continued, her eyes locked onto Philipâs with unwavering intensity.
"I understand, Big Sis..."
Philip had no choice but to nod and accept her judgment. Deep down, he knew she was right. He needed to become strong if he wanted to protect the empire.
The sad truth was that in this world, the strong were always right, while the weak had no choice but to endure and obey. Weakness was considered a sinâso much so that some would rather die than remain weak.
Unfortunately, the world is also unfair. Not everyone can become strong. Even if they desired the power to destroy mountains and part rivers, not all have the privilege to attain such strength. The strong would always remain strong, while the weak would stay weakâunless fate intervenes and the will to change burns fiercely within them. This is the harsh reality of the world.
âThis is a serious matter. My devilish sister is rightâI should practice both my swordsmanship and magic. Not just that, I should also aim to raise my rank,â Emperor Philip thought, his expression solemn as a sense of enlightenment washed over him after Valeriaâs harsh lecture about his weakness.
"Well, that useless piece of junk youâre all calling a mythical treasure is buried inside that pile of meat paste. Make sure to recover it before you feed the rest of it to the dogs," Yuan said with a wide grin, pointing casually at the grotesque remains.
âA piece of junk? Is he serious? Thatâs a mythical treasureâa treasure thatâs extremely dangerous!â Emperor Philip stared at Yuan in disbelief, utterly dumbfounded by his dismissive remark.
Yuan ignored Philipâs reaction and turned to Valeria. "Letâs go and reunite with the others. I doubt the auction will continue after this."
"Indeed. The stadium has been damaged by the shockwaves, and there could still be members of the Golden Skull lurking around. The auction will definitely be postponed for a few days," Valeria replied, nodding with a gentle smile. She reached for Yuanâs arm, wrapping it around hers with the affection of a loving wife.
"Now, letâs head inside and return to my villa. While we wait for the auction to resume, we can focus on increasing our cultivation," she added softly.
"Lead the way, my dear wife," Yuan said with a warm smile, slipping an arm around her waist as Valeria guided him toward the stadium.
At the same time, Teressa watched as Yuan and Valeriaâs figures disappeared from sight, awe filling her heart.
âAmazing! Theyâre so strong. I canât believe they defeated an SSS-rank monster so easilyâthey didnât even break a sweat!â she thought, admiration gleaming in her eyes.
And it wasnât just her. Everyone in the stadium was captivated by Yuan and Valeriaâs unmatched power. Even Forbidden Magicâfeared throughout the worldâwas useless against them.
"No wonder he never found me attractive back then. After all, he already has such a beautiful woman by his side. Thereâs no way heâd ever set his eyes on someone like me," Teressa muttered with a wistful sigh, her gaze lingering on the spot where Yuan had once stood. A strange, bittersweet smile crept onto her face.
The servant beside her glanced over, raising an eyebrow at her expression before sighing softly and shaking her head.
Meanwhile, inside the VIP room, Heidi stared at the pile of mangled flesh with a serious expression, her legs trembling slightly as she tried to process what she had just witnessedâsomething far beyond her comprehension.
"Unbelievable⦠I knew he was strong the moment I laid eyes on him. But I never expected him to be this powerful! Heâs far stronger than my fatherâthe current Clan Head of the Vyker Clan!" Heidi exclaimed, her fists clenched tightly, her voice filled with both awe and frustration.
Veni nodded gravely. "Indeed. He could become a threat to our clan. We need to ensure he doesnât pose any danger to us, Young Lady. We must recruit him into our clan, no matter the cost."
"Youâre right, Veni," Heidi replied, her expression darkening. "However, recruiting someone like him will be extremely difficult. He might refuse to even speak with us. To someone like him, we could be nothing more than an annoyance."
"But, Young Lady, we must at least try," Veni insisted, determination gleaming in her eyes.
The sheer strength Yuan and Valeria had displayed was unsettling, even to the Ten Great Families. After all, an SSS-rank monster hadnât stood a chance against them. The families couldnât afford to have an opponent they couldnât defeatâespecially one they knew so little about.
Meanwhile, Yuan and Valeria arrived at the VIP room. Without hesitation, they entered, finding Anna Grace and the others enjoying a small tea party.
"Darling~ Youâre back! Come here," Anna Grace called out with an excited grin. "You must be tired after dealing with that disgusting monster. Have some teaâitâll help you relax."
"Thanks, Mom, youâre the best," Yuan replied warmly, accepting the cup with a tender smile before sitting beside her on the sofa.
However, Anna Grace didnât stay seated for long. She stood up, then settled herself on Yuanâs lap with a sweet smile, leaning against his chest and resting her head on his shoulder.
Aisha, watching this scene unfold, raised an eyebrow. A strange feeling stirred within herâa mix of curiosity and suspicionâat the unusually intimate dynamic between her sister and Yuan.@@novelbin@@
âAside from being mother and son, what kind of relationship do they really have? Theyâre acting so close⦠almost like a couple. Well, maybe my sister and her son are just very close,â Aisha thought, her gaze lingering with a puzzled expression.
Suddenly, Teressaâs melodious voice echoed throughout the stadium, capturing everyoneâs attention. Her sweet tone seemed to calm the restless crowd instantly.
"Everyone! May I have a moment, please?"
"Ahem!"
Once everyoneâs attention shifted toward her, Teressa cleared her throat and announced, "As youâve all witnessed, the Grand Auction was interrupted by the notorious criminal organizationâthe Golden Skull. Due to this incident, weâve decided to postpone the remaining auctions for three days."
She paused briefly, then continued, "Weâre doing this because we still have more than ten extraordinary treasures to auction, including the recently recovered mythical daggerâthe Purple Poison Blade. So, we kindly ask for your patience as we make the necessary arrangements."
Teressaâs clear, commanding voice echoed throughout the stadium, earning cheers of appreciation from the crowd, especially upon hearing that the mythical treasure had been secured.
"I hope everyone understands the situation. Thank you for your patienceâwe look forward to seeing you again when the auction resumes in three days!"

After the announcement, Yuan stretched slightly as he stood up from the sofa, brushing off the tension from the day.
"Letâs return to Valeriaâs villa. Iâd like to take a nice bath and relax for a while in peace," he said, his voice calm and steady.
Anna Graceâs face lit up with excitement. She jumped up, throwing her arms around Yuan and pulling him into a warm embrace before planting a kiss on his cheek.
"Iâd love to take a bath too. Letâs bathe together, darling," she said playfully, pressing herself against him with a mischievous smile.
"Sure. Iâd love that," Yuan replied with an easy grin.
Shortly after, they left the stadium, soaring through the skies toward Valeriaâs villa on their flying swords.
