Just then, a hotel employee came rushing over and said something to his aunt. His auntâs eyes lit up, and she came over to quietly tell him what was happening.
Cui Jiangjingâs chest heaved with relief. He turned to the man issuing orders with a ferocious tone and said, âWeâve found Rong Yan! The surveillance caught her on the 12th floor, in room 1214, but she was helped over there by two staff members.â
âThe people they were questioning asked a janitor who witnessed the incident who said that Rong Yan looked like she was drunk. The staff members probably took her to a room to rest,â he added.
Before he could finish his sentence, the stern man walked past him like the wind.
âFor fuckâs sake!â Cui Jiangjing stamped his foot and followed, calling out as he chased, âHey, wait for me! We still donât know which room on the 12th floor sheâs in. Whatâs the rush?â
Unfortunately, no one paid him any attentionâ¦
The 12th floor of the hotel was a level of ordinary queen-size rooms, its corridors laid with soft carpets. The rooms were so well soundproofed that one couldnât hear anything from the outside.
When Li Shengxiao arrived, so did a flurry of others.
âMr. Li,â Gu Ming said respectfully as soon as he reached the 12th floor, âDo you want me to go check it out first?â
Li Shengxiaoâs thin lips pursed, denying his offer before saying, âHave everyone stay here, and donât let anyone come through!â
He didnât believe that the little lady would get drunk. From the unanswered calls to the so-called âhotel staffâ, everything about this incident was fishy.
A chill covered his heart, and the red in his eyes intensified, his expression looking murderous.
Cui Jiangjing also heard his order and almost jumped in frustration, âWhat the hell, I canât go over?â
Li Shengxiao acted as if he hadnât heard his complaint and walked towards room 1214 alone.
âDamn it, youâre really not letting me through? What do you mean by that?â Cui Jiangjing was furious to see him walk away, almost hopping mad.
Gu Ming was actually worried about Rong Yan too, but since Li Shengxiao had ordered, he wouldnât dare to go over. He could only helplessly tell an indignant Cui Jiangjing, âMr. Cui, please wait here according to Mr. Liâs command.â
Cui Jiangjing knew it was an order from Li Shengxiao and didnât make it difficult for him, standing there huffily waiting.
A crowd of people stood at the elevator entrance grandly, all except Cui Jiangjing holding significant status.
But they were like schoolchildren standing in punishment, helpless.
Cui Jiangjingâs aunt was the most anxious of them all, clutching at him and asking, âJing, there wonât be any trouble, right?â
Cui Jiangjing patted her shoulder in comfort, soothing her, âThere should be no trouble; Shengxiaoâs girlfriend was just drunk and was helped by staff members to a room to rest. As long as his girlfriend is fine, there will be no trouble; but if there isâ¦â
His auntâs heart tightened as she asked nervously, âWhat will happen?â
Cui Jiangjing looked into her eyes, his playful expression now gone, his gaze solemn as he said, âThere will be havoc!â
âJinxiu will be in chaos, and so will Capital City!â
Most importantly, whoever causes trouble will surely die a very miserable deathâ¦
He just hoped Rong Yan was fine because if not, even he would be annoyed. Jinxiu, after all, was the Cui Familyâs territory. If anyone caused trouble on his turf, he would be the first to disagree!

In room 1214, the arrogant man kicked open the door.@@novelbin@@
The locked door latch was jolted open by the impact, falling to the floor. Bang, the door slammed against the wall with a crack.
