Jiang Yao glanced at Lu Xingzhi, retracted her hand, and turned around to avoid him.

âMy daughter will have a bright future!â Lu Xingzhi defended himself unhappily. âWeâll definitely have a daughter.â
Jiang Yao did not know whether to laugh or cry. She poked Lu Xingzhiâs arm and scolded him jokingly. âYes, a daughter looks promising!â
After she said that, she turned around and continued to walk. When she turned around again, she saw Lu Xingzhi followed her closely like a stalker. She stopped at the bathroom door and asked, âYou want to follow me into the bathroom?â

Lu Xingzhi knocked on the door. âItâs for a daughter to have a younger brother. Look at me. Havenât I been taking care of myself since I was young? Itâs good to have a little boy to have an elder sister.â
Jiang Yao, who was showering inside, pretended not to hear him. Lu Xingzhi finally convinced him. However, she did not answer him; he spoke for several minutes by himself at the door.

Jiang Yao continued to wash until Lu Xingzhi stopped talking. She waited for the door to be quiet for a few minutes before she walked out of the bathroom. She did not expect to be hugged tightly the moment she opened the bathroom door.
âYouâre still here?â
Jiang Yao wanted to facepalm herself.
âI thought the sound of the water was so loud that you couldnât hear my voice.â The implication was to complain that she heard his words but did not say a word in reply.
