Soi-Ji

Just when he was about to lose his patience, it finally happened. Rize-Ji didn’t need to be drunk to spend time with him.

There were countless nights when she’d stumble in, and they’d either spend the whole night making love or just talking. But she never remembered. She treated him like a stranger.

He used to wait eagerly for her to show up or interrupt his time with other women.

The other women were beautiful and well-trained, but Rize-Ji wasn’t made for this.

She resisted the very thing she wanted, and when she finally gave in to her deepest desires, it was the most incredible feeling, especially when it was him she desired.

They seemed to clash more when she was sober. He couldn’t figure out how to get close to her until Arenk barged into his office.

Arenk was easy to provoke into a fight, one that Soi-Ji won without breaking a sweat.

Soi-Ji broke Arenk’s ribs one by one until he answered his questions. Soi-Ji ended up learning a lot about her sober personality.

Some days her sass, defiance, and attitude were a lot to handle, and he wanted to punish her but held back for the bigger picture.

He’d never met a woman who was so outspoken or challenged him at every turn. It was refreshing and frustrating at the same time.

Rize-Ji started to stir. Her face scrunched up, a clear sign she was having that same nightmare again. Even drunk, she refused to talk about it.

The look on her face had a darkness that sent chills down his spine but also excited him. Her combat skills and intuition in battle were extraordinary. She was a force to be reckoned with.

She used her femininity to her advantage even when she was at a disadvantage.

He hoped that she would bear his child. Their offspring would be the first of their kind and would bring the world to its knees.

All his children in the past had died either before taking their first breath or before their first year.

If she would only open up to him, he could unite their people and bring more women to this planet. He knew she was plotting something, but he couldn’t figure out what.

Soi-Ji knew she wouldn’t break under torture or pressure. Even when he confronted her with the truth, she still denied it.

Rize-Ji was something special, a breed he wanted in his lineage.

To top it off, she had a caring heart, like the other night. It didn’t bother him as much anymore that most women didn’t want to look at him when they made love.

His scar was permanent, and he wasn’t as handsome as his counterparts. But he had power and a cock that could destroy anything in its path, and she would always come to his rescue.

The first time, he was angry, but she just smiled and said he deserved better. He was more than what he accepted, and those women should be begging to be with him.

Rize-Ji sat up in bed, her chest heaving, sweat on her forehead. He reached to touch her shoulder, and she grabbed his finger, twisting it.

A sharp pain shot up to his elbow, and he grabbed her wrist, making her let go. Her face was filled with horror.

It was the first time she had woken up here, and he was sure she would at least pretend to be more drunk than she actually was.

Instead, her hands slowly fell to the sheets and gripped them tightly. She looked up at him and started to say something, then stopped. There was that look on her face, the one that captured her essence in one glance.

He could feel the range of her emotions. The love, hate, dejection, rejection, rage, and bloodlust.

He started to say that he understood those feelings and that he would be there to listen, but he stopped and just looked at her. Soi-Ji just followed her lead.

He hoped she would accept him and understand that she was the one who was in control.

“Last night was interesting,” she said, pushing her hair back, “but I know how this goes.”

He knew what she meant, but for him, it wasn’t like that. He’d spent too many nights wanting her to remember a moment like last night.

“It goes how I say,” he said.

Her expression caught him off guard. He could tell she expected him to agree.

“Where is that?” she asked.

He wanted to say, on her knees, worshipping the serpent of life, serving him by his side till he was old, or simply as his queen. The last one would be harder to make a reality.

She wasn’t from this world, but having a child would make it easier.

“Exactly where you are now,” he said.

“Where am I?”

He caught her chin as she tried to look away. “You’re in my heart and mind.”

Rize-Ji took a quick breath, and Soi-Ji could swear that she blushed.

“That’s bullsh—“

He tightened his grip. “You know better.”

It was natural for him to punish and chastise. That kind of language from a woman was unacceptable. She, on the other hand, jutted her chin out.

“And if I don't?” she said, moving closer to him.

He leaned in close to her face. “Then I'll teach you.”

She pulled back. “If you say so. But really, what do you want from me?”

He thought about it and spoke from the heart.

“To be by my side, bear my children, and do that thing that you do.”

She would know. It was the same thing that splashed him last night. That warm liquid scared him, but he knew he’d done his job.

She chewed her lower lip and looked away. Soi-Ji cupped her cheek and leaned in. He wouldn’t waste another moment on pretenses. He’d do better and show her exactly what he wanted.

He just prayed that they wanted the same thing. His lips touched hers, and their kiss was just as explosive as it had been last night. He knew it was going to be a long morning.
