A couple amazing years later....
Devon's POV
"Are all the boys ready?"
I asked in general since everyone was helping get the kids dressed, as I looked in the mirror making sure I looked good.
"Yea I'm just adjusting lil man tie."
Rains father said as he fixed Noah's tie.
"Da Da."
Noah said reaching for me so I picked him up, and he laid his head on my chest.
Knock knock!
Someone knocked on the door, and And then the door opened revealing Cookie in her gold bridesmaids dress.
"It's time you make your way out there baby."
"Alright. I'm coming now."
I said as I walked to the door where she stood and tried to put Noah down but he wouldn't budge.
"Come on Noah granny got candy for you."
He lifted his head off my chest and looked at her before reaching for her.
She grabbed him with a smile and we went separate directions.
As I made my way outside to the spot our wedding was being held at the golf course, I started to get nervous.
"Relax you got this."
I said to myself as I watched the guest start getting seated.
A couple minutes went by and music started to play lowly but loud enough for you to hear.
A couple seconds later the bridesmaids and groomsmen made their entrance, then Maloni and Sevyen started throwing out gold covered rose petals that Rain desired so much.
After that they went to their spots I looked back down the aisle again and there was Rain walking, by me just watching her I got butterflies in my stomach.
"Damn she's beautiful."
I said under my breath, as I began to get nervous again.
Each step she took made my heart beat faster than before, and once she finally stood in front of me it felt like my heart stopped.
We locked eyes with one another for what seemed like forever, until we we're interrupted by someone clearing their voice.
"We are all gathered here toda-"
Rain's father interrupted the pastor before he could finish his depressing sentence.
"This isn't a funeral so please change the depressing tone in your voice.
Everyone started laughing and the pastor laughed himself before starting again.
"My bad we all all gathered here today to watch as Ms. Rain Alexander and Mr. Devon Moore combine as one whole."
He said happily and smiled at us, and then continued with his speech.
Sevyen and Noah started making their way towards us with the gold pillows, that held out rings.
I grabbed Rain's ring off the pillow and grabbed her hand.
"Do you Devon take Rain as your lawful wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"
"I do!"
I said more like yelled louder than I intended to. I tried pushing the ring on her finger but it was stuck in the middle, so after a few more pushes I successfully got it on.
Everyone started laughing and then quickly quite down so he could finish.
"Do you take Rain take Devon as your lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"
"I do."
She said almost above a whisper and tears started to make a stream down her face.
"Stop all that crying girl, that makeup cost to much to be wiping it off."
My mom said as her dog barked in agreement.
I shook my head as we laughed as Maloni handed her a napkin and she dabbed the tears away before she grabbed my ring and placed it on my finger.
"So now it's time for the bride and groom to read their vows they prepared on their own."
He nodded his head at me and I watched as she blinked her eyes free of tears as she looked up at me.
I cleared my throat and grabbed her hands rubbing circles on them, to get rid of some of my nervousness.
"Girl, girl, girl. You just don't know how you got me feeling right now. I remember when we first met and I introduced myself in an crazy manner and then I continued to take to you crazy after we met at Sunday dinner thanks to someone. Your smile always seems to brighten my day, as well as your caring heart. You are the woman I always dreamed of having and I'm glad, that I finally got you. You are a great mother, daughter, and now soon to be my wife. I love you with all my heart and I hope you never forget that."
I said as I lifted her hands to my lips and placed a kiss on each of her knuckles.
Everyone did their awwws and then Rain cleared her throat and began speaking.
"Devon. Ever since I've met you you've put a smile on my face and I appreciate that. We went through some things and now it's water under the bridge. Words can't describe how much I appreciate you and love you but I will continued to show you each and everyday. There's a whole lot more things I want to say, but we'll have to save that for another beautiful day."
She said as we continued to look at one another as the crowd said their awwwww's.
Now that that was done everyone headed inside the building as the bridesmaids and groomsmen stayed so we could take our pictures.
After finishing the pictures we made our way inside after everyone was in and once we heard our song play we made our grand entrance.
"Now welcoming Mr. & Mrs. Moore."
The DJ said through the speakers and we all started dancing until Rain had to dance with her father.
~~~~~~~~~
It was almost two o'clock in the morning and we were stilling partying. I went outside to get some fresh air and it so happened my favorite uncle was out there drinking a beer.
"What your doing out her by yourself old man?"
I said as I loosened my tie and started unbuttoning some of my shirt buttons.
"Nothing much young buck, but why you out here when you should be in there with your beauty wife and children?"
"I needed some air."
I said as I took a shot of whatever the bartender was walking around giving people.
"Sounds bout right. I'm proud of you, you went from jncle to step dad you a cold nigga nephew."
We both roared in laughter but I had to stop myself because my stomach started hurting.
"What made you say that?"
He looked up at the sky, and then at me.
"Your father told me this day would happen a while back, and now was the perfect time to say it."
"Yea."
I nodded my head in agreement and began to get a little sad.
"I didn't mean to make you sad, but on the bright side I love what y'all did to acknowledge the fact y'all wanted y'all parents to be here.
"It was Rains idea."
I had to give my baby her credit, she saved the two seats next to our alive parents, and put a picture of her mom and my dad along with a rose.
My uncle went back inside and I was left alone as a cold breeze blew and then Sevyen and Noah ran up to me so I bent down to their level.
"What up guys?"
"Nothing we just wanted to be with you."
Sevyen said as she smiled at me causing me to smile in return.
"Alright well I'm just out here chilling."
"That's fine we can join you."
Noah said as he sat on the left and Sevyen sat on the right.
As I sat down on the bench with the kids next to me, I began to think about how my life changed and how so many great things have happened.
After a while Rain came out and told the kids to go inside an she sat next to me looking at me.
"You know I've been meaning to tell you something."
She said with a smile on her face.
"Please tell me she is pregnant again."
I said in my head or so I thought.
"No I'm not pregnant and I hope I don't get like that anytime soon."
I sighed and shook my head it was going to happen, I plan to have at least two more even though we already have more then enough.
"What did you want to tell me?"
I asked before I got to carried away with my thoughts.
"I wanted to tell you I love you."
We shared a kiss and then went back into the place where our reception was held and finished partying.
