Chapter 437
Marrying the Man in the Dark
Chapter 437 Cut⦠Cut Her?
Blood oozed from the wound.
An intense pain shot through her arm and into her head.
Sage clenched her teeth to suppress a scream. Holding her injured hand with her other hand, she
gasped, âGuards!â
âGet me a doctor!â
She couldnât tear her eyes away from Damienâs grip on Cherise. Her anger turned her eyes red. âHe
just wonât let go, will he?â
âFind me a doctor and a scalpel. Weâll cut through Cheriseâs flesh!â
She couldnât believe that two people who were so exhausted they could barely stand were causing her
so much trouble!
âThat might not be the best idea.
Mr. Hampson tried to dissuade her. âI understand youâre angry, Miss Caldwell.â
âBut we should avoid shedding blood.â
âWhat will you do if the young master holds a grudge against you for this?â
âHah!â
Sage scoffed. âDo you really think Iâm afraid of him holding a grudge against me?â
âIf I were afraid, I would prevent anyone from taking Cherise away!â
She glared at Mr. Hampson. Tve never cared about his opinions.â
âWhat I care about is the status and power that come with being Damien Lenoirâs wife and the money
Danielle will give me!â
âI couldnât care less about who he likes or his hatred for me!â
Mr. Hampson hesitated and shook his head helplessly. âBut Miss Caldwell, cutting into her fleshâ¦.
Thatâs not a good idea.â
Sage frowned. âYou think thatâs going too far?â
âNo one will miss her if she dies!â
âI am Damienâs future wife and Danielleâs recognized god-sister! Will you obey my orders or not?!â

Mr. Hampson couldnât argue after she scolded him.
After hesitating, he finally sighed and instructed a guard, âGo fetch a doctor.â
Shortly after, the guard returned with a female doctor.
âCut⦠Cut offâ¦â
The doctor stared at Damienâs hand on Cheriseâs waist. âThisâ¦â She stammered in shock.
She had never encountered such an irrational demand in all her years as a doctor.
This was the first time she had witnessed something like this.
âIf you canât do it, find someone who can!â
Sage said through gritted teeth.
It was such a trivial matter. She couldnât believe they were treating Cherise like some precious object.
First, Mr. Hampson said it wasnât a good idea. Then the doctor couldnât do it.
If no one else would do it, she would!
Sage snatched the scalpel from the doctorâs hand and approached Cherise. She pulled her arm back,
ready to stab Cheriseâs waist-
âPut it down!â
A cold and stern command rang out. It sounded like it came from an elderly person.
Though elderly, the voice was so powerful that Sage almost dropped the scalpel.
She furrowed her brow and unintentionally looked towards the source of the voice.
Standing in front of the elevator was an elderly man supported by a middle-aged man.
The elderly manâs eyes were sharp and piercing. He was dressed in a black suit, exuding wealth and
superiority.
Even in his old age, his eyes were so sharp that it felt like he could see into your soul.
The man supporting him was handsome and aloof. There was a sense of nobility about him.
His jawline and the shape of his lips were particularly striking.
Still holding the scalpel in her hand, she glanced at Cherise, still unconscious on the ground.
This manâs facial structure, nose, and mouthâ¦. They were almost identical to Cheriseâs!

âBeckham.â
The elderly man furrowed his brow and turned to Beckham. Tll allow you to strike a woman, just for
today.â
Uh⦠Strike a womanâ¦.
Beckham cleared his throat and glanced at Sage.
www.
He admitted to being furious, but that didnât mean he was about to harm a girl.
