Her current income was enough to provide a comfortable life for her and her two children.

Damien lightly quirked his lips and smiled, “But to let you enjoy the shopping experience.”

“To convincingly deceive her, indulge in luxury shopping and portray the image of a pampered heiress,” he

continued.

Cherise was momentarily taken aback, but then she realized what he meant.

“She would become even more suspicious if I wandered the shops without making any purchases. It would seem

like I was pretending to be wealthy.”

Damien’s smile grew wider as he suggested, “You could have also bought a high-end scarf or lipstick when you had

the chance. They weren’t too expensive but could have given the impression that you were a luxury goods shopper

On the other end of the line, Maeve looked at Lucy in surprise and asked casually, “Is Cherry planning to go

shopping?”

“Charles!”

Maeve called for Charles.

“Go ahead and buy anything that Cherry fancies.”

“You’re Cherry’s friend, so I trust there won’t be any issues.”

Maeve smiled at her and continued, “After using this card, return it to Cherry.”
