As soon as Xu Youning’s voice died down, Ah Guang looked stunned.

He had a different plan!

That day before dawn, Ah Guang was suddenly told that Granny Xu had an accident. He hastened to her house, only to find that the old lady had passed away, and even the doctor could do nothing to help.

He tried to discover what had happened. The police told him that Mu Sijue’s men had broken into Granny Xu’s house, and that Mu Sijue was the indirect cause of her death.

However, Ah Guang remembered that Mu Sijue had never told them to bother Xu Youning’s family. He thought, “Mu Sijue has no reason to do that, but why?”

With confusion, Ah Guang surveyed the scene and carefully checked the suspicious evidence the police had found there, then he immediately knew who it was behind the killing.

He continued his investigation, but he was surprised to find that Xu Youning was the mole who worked for Kang Ruicheng.

After repeated confirmation, one half of Ah Guang’s world had collapsed.

After leaving Xu Youning’s house, Ah Guang rushed to Mu Sijue’s office like crazy and searched around in it, only to find that Mu Sijue had already known Xu Youning’s true identity.

However, Mu Sijue didn’t blow Xu Youning’s cover. Instead, he had taken advantage of her to give Kang Ruicheng misinformation.

Only then did Ah Guang realize that the two people that he trusted the most had been keeping secrets from him.

Finally, the other half of Ah Guang’s world began to collapse as well.

He hid himself in endless darkness, and not until dawn did he have the courage to face the facts. Then he phoned Mu Sijue.

At that moment, he tried to take a chance with it, hoping that Mu Sijue would tell him it was all a misunderstanding.

Ah Guang was stunned then. After a long while, he believed what Mu Sijue told him and asked with confusion, “Seventh Brother, what are you going to do with Sister Youning?”

Mu Sijue said indifferently, “I’ll play by the rules.” He sounded determined.

It was plain to those who knew Mu Sijue that he brooked no deception or betrayal, and nobody who dared to challenge his bottom line had come to a good end.

That time, Xu Youning was doomed.

Ah Guang felt pity for Xu Youning, but he didn’t intercede for her.

He knew Mu Sijue well. Once he tried interceding for her, she would face a stiff punishment.

Therefore, he secretly planned to help Xu Youning escape.

Although Xu Youning had been working undercover for Kang Ruicheng, Ah Guang didn’t want her to be tortured by Mu Sijue.

However, to help Xu Youning escape had to be based on the premise that only he and Mu Sijue knew that “Xu Youning was a mole.”

Once the other men who worked for Mu Sijue were aware of that, they would disagree even if Mu Sijue agreed to let Xu Youning off.

Ah Guang had thought that as long as Mu Sijue didn’t make it public, he would not move openly. However, beyond his expectations, Xu Youning revealed herself in front of those guys just then.

As a result, his plan fell through. Xu Youning would have no chance of escaping.

In the office, Mu Sijue was the only one who kept calm. He simply sat on the sofa, like an outsider, watching Xu Youning coldly.

From what Mu Sijue knew of Xu Youning, he really smelled a rat, because Xu Youning wasn’t an impulsive person. However, seeing Xu Youning’s furious and determined look, he couldn’t convince himself that there was anything wrong with her.

Mu Sijue stood up and glanced at the others. “Get out.”

He decided to have a talk with Xu Youning, regardless of whether she thought he was the one who killed Granny Xu or not.

“Seventh Brother!” Mu Sijue’s men were worried, and they didn’t want him to stay alone with Xu Youning, the mole.

Mu Sijue shouted in a low and displeased voice, “Get out!”

Ah Guang thought for a while, then he pushed the others toward the door and said, “Do as Seventh Brother says. Let’s leave first.”

Ah Guang wasn’t worried because he didn’t think that Xu Youning could hurt Mu Sijue, nor Mu Sijue would hurt her.

Those guys followed Ah Guang out, leaving only Mu Sijue and Xu Youning in the office.

Mu Sijue began to speak in a cold voice with sarcasm. “Xu Youning, should you want to continue working undercover, just go on. Unless you reveal yourself, I won’t unmask you.”

He looked like an honorable king who was talking with a nobody. At that moment, Xu Youning, who had seen herself as a vigilant mole, realized that she was nothing but a stupid woman in Mu Sijue’s eyes.

Xu Youning felt a chill from the bottom of her heart. She laughed at herself and said, “Mu Sijue, you enjoy overwhelming your opponent with your power and intelligence, don’t you?”

“Do you think you’re a worthy opponent of mine?” Mu Sijue sneered. “You’ve overestimated yourself.”

He was right. Xu Youning wasn’t a worthy opponent.

Xu Youning clenched her fists and looked at him with intense hatred. “If I tell you that I’ll kill you, what would you say? Do you think I’ve overestimated myself?”

Mu Sijue said with disdain, “You may try.”

Xu Youning knew that she was no match for Mu Sijue. However, at that moment, she chose not to stay rational nor she showed restrain.

She intended to cause a wild disturbance and make it public!

With that in mind, Xu Youning suddenly attacked Mu Sijue, who nimbly eluded her. She clenched her fists and kept attacking him, as if she was fighting a life and death battle with Mu Sijue.

The two were both hard to deal with. Xu Youning attacked fiercely, while Mu Sijue was quick to respond. They picked up all that could be used as a weapon; the office was full of sounds of items being smashed; others could tell how intense the fight was.

All the men outside the office looked anxious. They repeatedly asked Ah Guang, “Shall we go and take a look inside?”

Ah Guang gave them an annoyed look and whispered, “Seventh Brother has not asked us to do that. Are you asking for trouble?”

“But...” those guys said in confusion, “What if...”

“Are you worried about Seventh Brother?” Ah Guang sneered. “Isn’t it like humiliating him? His safety is not yours to worry about. Get it?”

Ah Guang didn’t respond.

He worried more about Xu Youning.

He thought that Mu Sijue wouldn’t hurt Xu Youning. He wondered, “But what if Xu Youning riles Mu Sijue?”

It turned out that Ah Guang guessed correctly. Mu Sijue was on the verge of rage.

He had wanted to talk with Xu Youning, without expecting that she would attack him, so he decided to take her on to the end.

After fighting with her for more than ten minutes, he realized that Youning was determined to kill him with her clenched fists and fatal attacks.

He wondered, “Does she hate me this much? Why can’t she see that I’m tolerating her?”

With a disappointed look on his face, Mu Sijue grabbed Xu Youning’s wrist to stop her and shouted, “Xu Youning, what do you want?”

“My grandma must have asked your men the same question,” Xu Youning glared at Mu Sijue and said, “You killed her. I want you to pay with your life!” With that, she struggled to attack Mu Sijue again.

Mu Sijue grabbed Xu Youning’s wrist hard so that she couldn’t move at all. He asked angrily, “Do you really think that I killed your grandma?”

“Your men broke into my house. Don’t tell me that you didn’t ask them there!” Xu Youning’s eyes were red. “Mu Sijue, my grandma didn’t know who I was or what I was doing at all. How could you be so ruthless to an old lady like her?”

Mu Sijue sneered and gave her a cold look. He asked, “I have no conscience at all according to you, so I did the dirty deed, right?”

“Yes!” Xu Youning said without hesitation, “You must have done that because you want to take revenge on me!”

“Do you think that I would ask my men to tell your grandma about you just to take revenge on you?” Mu Sijue said, staring at Xu Youning with anger.

He could find thousands of ways to take revenge on anybody. There was no need for him to be ruthless to an old lady!

He wondered, “Does she think that I’m shady so I must have done it?”

“You’ve been planning to take revenge on me, haven’t you?” Xu Youning said, “You found out that I was a mole long before, and that’s why you asked me to investigate Ah Guang. At that time, if I had made Ah Guang my scapegoat, you would have taken revenge on me and killed my grandma, right?”

“If that’s what you think.” Mu Sijue smiled, as if he was either sneering at himself or showing approval of Xu Youning. He said, “Go on.”

“But in the end, I didn’t make Ah Guang my scapegoat, so you had no reason to kill my grandma for the time being. Then you began to take advantage of me. Firstly, you sent me to your business partner as a present. Secondly, you took advantage of me to give Kang Ruicheng the misinformation about your offer...” Xu Youning thought for a while, then she looked into Mu Sijue’s eyes and asked, “When I was kidnapped by Kang Ruicheng in Mexico, you thought that I was ridiculous, didn’t you?”
