Xiao Yunyun felt that Shen Yuechuan’s voice sounded strange, but she didn’t think too much. She looked at the scenery outside the window that was left behind by the taxi. “I went out at noon. I’m on the way back home.”

Shen Yuechuan and Lu Boyan shared one thing in common: they could stay calm under all circumstances.

Shen Yuechuan started the car and drove on. “You said you were hungry, didn’t you? I’ll take you to lunch.”

Xiao Yunyun hadn’t expected that Shen Yuechuan would keep her complaint in mind. She turned her head in surprise and said, “I thought you wanted to talk to me about something very important.”

It meant a lot to Shen Yuechuan whether Xiao Yunyun was hungry or not.

However, he thought it could be either that Xiao Yunyun would be scared or that she wouldn’t believe his words if he told her how he felt.

Shen Yuechuan simply said, “You bought me breakfast. So I’ll treat you to lunch. What do you think? What do you want to eat?”

“So you just don’t want to owe me a favor, do you?” Xiao Yunyun asked while holding back her disappointment.

Shen Yuechuan snorted as he glanced at Xiao Yunyun. “You owe me a lot of favors since we met. I just don’t want you to die of hunger. In that case, no one will help me change my dressing. That would be too bad.”

“...” Xiao Yunyun was struck dumb as if her heart had stopped beating.

In the end, Xiao Yunyun came up with a good idea—she decided to play a trick on him.

She mentioned a Michelin five-star restaurant and said, “I want to eat steak there!”
