Shen Yuechuan ignored her anger and touched her head as if he were coaxing his pet. “It’s a warning. I won’t be so nice to you if you dare to hit me again.”

Her teacher’s words came into Xiao Yunyun’s mind as she looked at her tidy and clean white medical gown.

“We’re fighters as long as we put on our white medical gowns. We must fight against death and diseases. Even if there were any ghosts or gods in the world, they should be frightened! As doctors, we’re supposed to be courageous, wise, and fearless!”

Her teacher meant that nothing should frighten them since they were brave enough to fight against Azrael.

With those in mind, Xiao Yunyun looked into Shen Yuechuan’s eyes with courage and struggled to free herself. “So what?”

Shen Yuechuan showed her disapproval, feeling rather upset—she was much more unyielding than he had thought.

He decided to teach her a lesson.

Shen Yuechuan held Xiao Yunyun’s waist with one arm to keep her still while cupping the back of her head with the other hand. Then he bowed his head and kissed her lips without warning.

It seemed that Shen Yuechuan was very satisfied with Xiao Yunyun’s reaction. He brushed a lock of hair from her forehead with a smile as he kissed her more deeply.

Shen Yuechuan was an expert in kissing because of his abundant love experiences.

However, he didn’t want to show off his kissing skills to make a conquest of the girl in his arms so quickly at that moment.

However, he got closer to her instead of releasing her. “I told you that if you try to hit me again, I won’t be nice to you—like what I did just now.”

Shen Yuechuan acted as if he hadn’t heard Xiao Yunyun’s angry words. He said, “I just let you go, but you tried to hit me again. Do you think it’s not enough just now, huh?”

Xiao Yunyun looked at Shen Yuechuan’s beautiful pale, red lips. The way he compressed them was so sexy that she wanted to spring at him.

Xiao Yunyun thought for a while. She knew that Shen Yuechuan meant more than he said, although she didn’t know it for sure.

Xiao Yunyun aimed a kick at Shen Yuechuan’s knee. “Damn you!” With that said, she turned around to run away.

Shen Yuechuan scoffed and grabbed Xiao Yunyun’s arm to drag her back. He pressed her against the wall before she could say a word. “Xiao Yunyun, how dare you?”

Xiao Yunyun still wanted to run away. However, it was impossible for her to do that because she was blocked right in front of Shen Yuechuan.

She decided to strike back like a fighter!

She asked in disdain, “So what? Are you going to give me a massage?”

Shen Yuechuan gnashed his teeth while cursing in mind, “What a wicked girl.”

However, he feigned a calm look. He smiled as usual while gazing at her. “I’ll gladly do that. But I’m not going to use my hands.”

As soon as he finished his words, he gazed at her lips as he cupped Xiao Yunyun’s chin.

Only then did Xiao Yunyun realize what Shen Yuechuan meant by saying “not using his hands”. She gave a hollow laugh while thinking about how to get rid of him. There came a knock at the door at that very moment. “Yunyun.”

It was a senior doctor in her department.

Xiao Yunyun looked like a drowning person catching a piece of driftwood to save their life. She pushed Shen Yuechuan away and ran to the door. “Yes!”

The door was opened from outside as soon as she reached it, and the senior doctor saw Shen Yuechuan standing in the office. The doctor simply smiled and said, “Let’s go. Bring the records and make patient rounds with me.”

“Oh!” Xiao Yunyun picked up the stuff on her desk and said to Shen Yuechuan with a calm look. “It will be a long time before I come back. You may show yourself out.”

Xiao Yunyun turned around and quickly left with the doctor before Shen Yuechuan could say anything.

The doctor was a lady of more than 40 years of age. Her family name was Liang, and she was respected for her noble medical ethics. Xiao Yunyun had always regarded the doctor as her role model.

Dr. Liang said as she walked toward the ward, “No wonder you are indifferent to the guys of our hospital. It turns out that a handsome man is chasing you.”

“We’re just friends,” Xiao Yunyun said, “He came to me today just to change his dressing. That’s all!”

“Is that so?” Dr. Liang recalled the way Shen Yuechuan looked at Xiao Yunyun. She shook her head and said, “I don’t think so.”

Dr. Liang smiled. “You’ll see it after the patient rounds.”

“Yes!” Xiao Yunyun said. Then she trotted to keep up with Dr. Liang.

Dr. Liang sighed to herself. “Ah, youth.”

The doctor wasn’t sure whether the handsome young man in the office loved Xiao Yunyun or not.

However, she knew that Xiao Yunyun loved the young man.
