The group chatted in the office for a while, and soon a server came in carrying a folding table.
Thankfully, the office space was big enough that even with the table set up, it didnât feel cramped.
The dishes, complete with color, aroma, and taste, were served in a continuous flow.
All prepared by Joel Edwards, the dishes at the Youmeng Garden Branch were no different from those at the main restaurant. Everyone enjoyed the meal immensely, chatting while eating like ordinary friends.
After the meal, the servers removed the tables and chairs.
Trey Holmes took a seat behind the tea table and asked with a smile, âBoss, what tea would you like to drink?â
âLetâs have some ripe Pu-erh to cut through the greasiness.â
âAll right.â
With a smile, Trey Holmes found the tea leaves beneath the tea salute and started washing the teaware.
Adrian Wright watched her smooth and flowing movements and couldnât help but be surprised, saying, âYour assistant knows about tea ceremonies?â
âHmm, a senior tea artist.â
âDamn.â
Adrian Wright was already envious of Greg Jensen for having such a good assistant, and now he was even more so.
With a flattering smile, he said, âGreg, youâre my dear brother, how about you let me have this assistant?â
âGet lost.â
Greg Jensen gave him an annoyed glance and said, âLittle Tracy isnât an object to be passed around, okay?â
Trey Holmesâs face changed slightly as she protested, âHey, boss, youâre the one whoâs not an object.â
âUhâ¦â
Realizing the ambiguity of his words, Greg Jensen shook his head with a laugh.
Just then, Kingsley Harrison walked in, his face alight with excitement, and said, âBoss, Iâve got the lunch revenue figures.â
Everyone turned to look, filled with curiosity. They all wanted to know how much the first meal at the Youmeng Garden Branch had made.
Especially Vivian Shimpson, who directly asked, âHow much did it sell for?â
Greg Jensen said with a laugh, âWeâre all family here, spit it out, donât keep us in suspense.â
Kingsley Harrison quickly said, âWe made a total of one hundred thousand at lunchtime!â
Upon hearing this, Greg Jensen raised his eyebrows, âOne hundred thousand? If we include dinner sales, we should be able to break two hundred thousand, right?â
âOf course!â
Kingsley Harrison, full of excitement, patted his chest and promised, âDonât worry, if we donât hit two hundred thousand today, Iâll cover the difference.â
âHaha, thatâs not necessary, just having the goal is good enough,â Greg Jensen said a few encouraging words, and Kingsley Harrison hurried off.
Once he left, Spencer Burley couldnât help but ask, âGreg, if we make two hundred thousand a day, whatâs the profit?â
Vivian Shimpson as well turned to look, clearly curious about the same question but too embarrassed to ask it herself.
Without concealing anything, Greg Jensen said with a smile, âThe profit margin in the restaurant industry is generally above fifty percent. If you do well, it can go up to seventy-five percent.
âSince Dreamscape Garden uses top-notch ingredients and labor, we can only manage about sixty percent profit.
âConsidering that we own both properties, if we factor in the cost of the locations, itâs probably around forty percent.â
Adrian Wright exclaimed, âForty percent? That means a profit of over eighty thousand a day.â
âEighty thousand a day, thatâs two million four hundred thousand a monthâ¦â
Spencer Burley calculated on his fingers and then lifted his head in shock, saying, âDamn, can you really make that much in a month?â
âYou canât calculate it like that all the time; there are off-peak seasons too, right?â
Greg Jensen said with a smile, âBut two million a month should be a safe bet.â
â`
Hearing his words, everyone was suddenly stunned. What surprised them was not how much money Greg Jensen made, but the astonishing return on investment.
The total cost from purchasing to renovating the two restaurants was something Jaden Ford was very clear about, and Adrian Wright and Spencer Burley naturally knew a bit, too.
An investment of about five million for one restaurant could earn over two million in a monthâwhat concept was that?
It meant that in just over two months, all the initial costs could be directly recouped.
With such a high rate of return, how could it not shock people?
Earning more than twenty million in a year was really not a big deal for the Wright Family and the Burley family, but the return rate was truly astonishing.
If Dreamscape Garden could be opened all across the countryâ¦
The eyes of Adrian Wright and Spencer Burley suddenly lit up.
Vivian Shimpson, still in a daze nearby, couldnât fathom how a seemingly unremarkable little restaurant could make so much money.
However, she quickly regained her composure and said indifferently, âItâs only over twenty million a year, after all. Work five years, and your assets just pass a hundred million. Whatâs there to be proud of?â
Louisa Burley hurriedly tugged at her, whispering, âVivian, stop talking.â
Greg Jensen didnât take it to heart and couldnât be bothered to argue with Vivian Shimpson; instead, he turned to Adrian Wright and Spencer Burley to discuss the nationwide expansion.
Though the two were not really reliable, they were from wealthy families after all, and had a vision far beyond ordinary people.
So, learning about the high returns of Dreamscape Garden, they immediately recognized it as an opportunity.
âJust saying, even if we do expand nationwide, I wonât possibly be able to oversee it all. You two will definitely need to run the operations.â
Greg Jensen gave them a preemptive warning.
Adrian Wright, however, was nonchalant, âNo problem, I can manage it when the time comes, and if not, Spencer can take care of it.
Itâs just a restaurant after all, thereâs nothing difficult about it.â
Greg Jensen pondered, âHmm, since both of you are keen, letâs set up a dining company, then. Going forward, all the franchises will be under the companyâs umbrella.â
Adrian Wright said with some excitement, âI will prepare a business plan right away. If there are no issues, Iâll go through the procedures tomorrow.â
Spencer Burley hesitated, âAdrian, doing this, arenât we taking advantage of Jensen?â
Upon hearing this, Adrian Wrightâs expression stiffened, and he immediately felt embarrassed.
Spencer Burley was right; Dreamscape Garden was built up by Greg Jensen on his own, whether it was the taste, atmosphere, or décor, it had nothing to do with them.
Now suddenly asking Greg Jensen to start a dining company with them, wasnât it just because they saw the prospects of Dreamscape Garden?
How was that different from picking peaches from someone elseâs tree?
Adrian Wright hesitated, âJensen, maybe⦠letâs just forget it, eh? Your restaurant is doing so well, our involvement is genuinely just coat-tailing.â
Greg Jensen laughed, âWhatâs the big deal? Without you guys, I would really have been too lazy to make the restaurant this big.â
âThisâ¦â
âCome on, if Jensenâs already said it, what are you still being coy for?â
Spencer Burley spoke, âWe will cover all the initial costs of setting up the company, and then weâll give Jensen the largest share, right?â
Greg Jensen said, âThatâs not necessary, just go by the investment proportion.â
Adrian Wright insisted, âLetâs do it Spencerâs way. All the companyâs funds will be resolved by us. Each of us will hold a twenty percent stake, and you will hold sixty percent.â
Seeing Greg Jensen still wanted to refuse, Adrian Wright urgently said with a stern face, âItâs settled then. If you refuse again, we really wonât feel right about sticking with you anymore.â
âWell, alright then.â
Having heard them insist, Greg Jensen had no choice but to nod in agreement, before asking, âThe fitness routine I taught you last time, have you been practicing it?â
âUhâ¦â
Spencer Burley immediately felt embarrassed.
Because ever since he stopped staying at the club, he had not practiced it once.
Tracy Miles, curious, asked, âWhat fitness routine?â
