571 [Bonus Chapter] They Were Good Now
âI need to see Marcel,â Arianna said to Victor, who turned, honestly surprised to hear such a question from her.
âWhat a strange question,â Victor muttered. He was overseeing the duel playing out between the soldiers, hence his attention was divided.
âIâm serious, Victor.â Arianna breathed, hands on her hips. She went searching for Marcel after their big argument, but it seems he vanished into thin air. She tried calling but he was not picking up her calls and ignored her texts as well.
âDid the both of you fight?â Victor asked, dodging the opponent who threw the other to the ground.
âKind of.â She ran her hand through her hair, âSo do you know where he is?â She wanted to know, tired of searching for him all over.
âI donât know, but I can find out.â Victor finally abandoned the fight and she breathed in relief.
He went to the corner and sat down on the bench, beginning to type a message that he said aloud, âWhere are you, brother?â
Arianna watched him press the send button and relaxed.
He looked at her, âDepending on where he is and what heâs doing, Marcel might take time to reply. So I suggest you calm your tits and Iâll -â Victor was still saying when his phone beeped.
.....
âOr maybe not....â the lines on Victorâs face were drawn together as he read the message. He looked up at Arianna with an apologetic smile,
âHe wants to know whoâs asking?â
Arianna lifted her brow, âReally? He wants to do this right now?â she shut her eyes and took a deep breath.
Opening her eyes, Arianna instructed him, âTell him then that itâs his over concerned girlfriend performing her rightful role after her dramatic boyfriend left her worried over his whereabouts!â She added under her breath, âBut it seems I was concerned over nothing, after all.â
âYour girlfriend is asking,â Victor said aloud while typing as usual. There was no way on earth he could type down the whole of Ariannaâs words.
Almost immediately, Marcel sent a response and Victor opened the message only to hesitate, looking between the text and Arianna uneasily.
âWell, what did he say?â Arianna demanded, her arms crossed on her chest.
âAnd Marcel says....â Victor licked his lips, âIâm currently balls deep, fucking the daylight out of Clara. At least, she wouldnât lie straight to my face. Donât expect me tonight, Iâm busy.â
Arianna knew that Marcel was probably trying to get a raise out of her but pure jealousy still wrapped around her heart and she clenched her fists by her side. GOD HELPS HIM IF HE WAS REALLY FUCKING CLARA RIGHT NOW! SHE WOULD DESTROY THOSE DEEP BALLS OF HIM!
She began to laugh sarcastically. Her hysterical laughter was so loud that even the soldiers busy with their matches sensed something was up and halted whatever they were doing. If the boss and his woman were having a fight, then it was dangerous for them. In situations like this, there were bound to be casualty loss and none of them wanted to be the one. So they evacuated the room while there was still time.
âThen tell him,â Arianna said, after she was able to get a semblance of control, âIf heâs balls deep in Clara as he claims, then heâs really doing a bad job of it since he has the time to type back.â She huffed.
And Victor did as she asked.
A response came.
âMarcel says you donât have to worry, itâs a skill cultured men have and youâre just jealous because you havenât experienced yet. If you donât believe him, ask.... Me?â Victor scowled at the message. Really man?n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Why was Marcel dragging him into their fight? No, he shouldnât have answered Ariannaâs request in the first place, now theyâve made him their middleman.
âI have no idea what heâs talking about?â Victor said defensively, his hands in the air when he saw the accusing stare Arianna was giving him
âFine, tell Marcel to have fun all he wants. Iâll find other men to entertain me. He knows where to find me if he wants to talk. â Arianna gave her final words and left.
But even she knew inwardly that having fun with his men was impossible. Because all of his soldiers were too scared of him to think of coming close to her.
Marcel was being childish right now. Sure, she lied to him, but Arianna didnât mean to. This was exactly the reason she never wanted him to know. Heâd kill Eijhah and that would be on her conscience. However, since he already knows, perhaps, they might be able come to an agreement where Elijahâs life is spared.
Contrary to what she told Marcel on the phone, Arianna didnât have any fun at all. She stayed in the living room waiting for Marcel to come home. She didnât want to move an inch so she doesnât miss him.
Unfortunately, by nine in the night, Marcel still wasnât home and she began to panic. Could it be that he was really with Clara?
No, that couldnât be. Marcel loathed Clara. It was clearly a cunning plan to make her angry. Even the thought of Clara touching him not to talk of Marcel being balls deep inside of her filled Arianna with murderous intent.
Arianna had always chastised women who fought other women for their boyfriends or husbands, but now she could finally understand that feeling. Marcel was hers and no one was to lay a hand on her.
At ten, Arianna still hadnât made a move from the bed even when Beatrice was beginning her to come have dinner, but she didnât have the appetite. She only wanted to see Marcel.
Arianna must have waited for so long because the next she opened her eyes, it was to see Marcel putting her in bed.
âYouâre home,â She murmured, groggy with sleep.
âGo to bed,â Was all Marcel told her as he pulled the sheet to her chin. Thus, Arianna slept with a smile on her face.
They were good now.
