SERAPHINA

I stormed into the house, my mind a whirlwind of anger and confusion. “What the hell was he thinking!” I muttered, tossing my coat aside and kicking off my boots with more force than necessary.

The security cameras in the foyer probably caught my little tantrum, but I was too upset to care. “And his brother! The nerve of him to ask such a question.” I continued my rant, stomping up the stairs.

My hands were waving around, my body unable to contain the anger and anxiety coursing through me as I stomped through the house. It felt like magic was crackling around me, feeding off my emotions as I let out a frustrated scream.

“As if I’m his fiancé or something!”

The urge to break something was overwhelming. Thankfully, I knew exactly what I wanted to destroy as I flung open the doors to my bedroom.

I stormed over to a picture of me and Jack, the one I’ve always despised. The one he insisted I hang up despite the painful memories it held. Anger flared in my stomach as I saw Rebecca’s face again.

The woman who had been sleeping with Jack while I was in the hospital, smiling in the picture taken the day I was released. All of us in the hospital garden together with the staff who had cared for me. I despised her.

With a satisfying crash, I threw the picture across the room. The satisfaction was fleeting, replaced by embarrassment as heat rushed to my cheeks.

The sound of glass crunching under his shoes made me swallow hard as Aleksandr appeared from a corner of my room. My heart skipped a beat as his eyes met mine, his demeanor completely casual.

He held my gaze, glancing briefly at the photo on the floor. “That’s the photo that made me think you were a lab rat. What is that place?”

“Taranto, General. Jack flew in some of the best doctors in the world because I was practically torn apart coming through the portal,” I said, crossing my arms. Irritation flared as I realized he chose this moment to appear.

“What do ~you~ want?”

Aleksandr’s attention snapped back to me, a small smile playing on his lips. “I heard you were looking for me.”

“Were, past tense,” I replied with heated cheeks, remembering what I had been saying to the bartender the other night. Begging to see Aleksandr when Lilith had mentioned boys.

“You can leave now,” I retorted, walking over to my bedroom door to open it for him. I also wanted to let Damien know he was doing a great job of keeping Aleksandr out.

As I reached for the door handle, Aleksandr stopped me. His hand held the door closed as he chuckled, leaning down to kiss the top of my head. His body formed a cage around me.

“Don’t be mad. You should be happy to see me. I’m here to help.”

I looked up at him before stepping back, not wanting to feel trapped. I didn’t want to admit that a simple kiss on my head was making me feel things.

“What do you mean, help? Why would you bother?”

He removed his arm from the door, crossing them over his chest. “To prove my innocence. All trails lead to me as you’ve been candidly pointing out, and I don’t like that. Even if I can pay my way to keep my innocence on record, I can’t say I like doing that when I didn’t commit the crime.”

I shook my head, looking up at the ceiling as I searched for words. “Aleksandr,” I sighed, holding up my hands. “Even if I believed you, this thing between us needs to stop. Alright? It’s not—”

Aleksandr cut me off, his words smooth and soothing. “You’re fucking a werewolf. It’s alright. You can say it. I saw who brought you to the house,” he said casually, his eyes raking over me.

“You—” I started, my mouth hanging open. I wondered how long he had been tracking me and how neither I nor my staff had noticed.

“He’s just, that has nothing to do with—How?”

“I am really quite charming, aren’t I?” he replied with a wink.

“Dangerous! Crazy! Insane!” I retorted, throwing up my hands. “Why don’t we go with a different, more appropriate word for how absolutely bonkers you are!”

“Really? You think of our two species, I’m the more dangerous one? Why is that? Is it my age?”

Aleksandr seemed to be enjoying this conversation. His smile grew as he ran a thumb over his chin, slowly stalking forward as his eyes drank me in.

“You threatened me with a gun.”

“And you shot me with it,” he responded with a smirk. “Maybe drinking blood does make me a cold-blooded killer. But isn’t that better than a hot-blooded murderer in your bed? Now that’s food for thought, kitten.”

He took a step forward, which I matched with a step back until my back hit the wall.

“What do you mean, hot-blooded? Garrick wouldn’t hurt a fly,” I defended, balling my fists. I realized he had turned the tables, and I was the one being interrogated.

“Really? He’s never been violent with you? Not even once? What about possessive?”

The smallest hint of truth in my expression was enough to make him grin. I couldn’t stop thinking about tonight or the night he had punched a hole in the wall. Aleksandr knew he had won the argument.

“Werewolves are more animal than man. If a dog is what you want, though, I won’t stop you.”

“I didn’t say I wanted him.” My teeth were on edge. “I didn’t say I wanted either of you.”

At my words, Aleksandr moved closer, his eyes full of intent as he closed the distance between us. “You know, I bought into every word you said.”

His fingers gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear, sending a delightful shiver down my spine. His eyes widened, lips parting in a silent invitation as he leaned in closer.

“Until you said you didn’t want either of us. We both know you’d rather be in my bed, naked, experiencing pleasure after pleasure until I make you see every star in the universe.”

I shook my head, but my mouth hung open—unable to voice a denial.

“I love it when you protest so hard,” he purred, his hand moving to my throat as he pinned me against the wall. His knee pressed into my groin as his lips traced mine, teeth tugging at my lower lip, causing me to gasp for air.

Leaning in closer, his thumb applied slight pressure on my windpipe. “I plan to erase that dog from your mind, and body.” His whisper was a heated promise, his knee pressing into me.

I couldn’t help it. I let out a moan as my mind scrambled for a response. I wanted to discuss what he had come to talk about, but between his hand on my throat and his knee pressing into me, I was unable to form words. The word wait formed on my lips in a gasp that couldn’t escape.

His fingers were already exploring, tugging at my right nipple, removing my shirt as I fell under his spell. He let out a soft grunt as his mouth moved closer to my neck, a low groan escaping his throat.

“I really can’t wait, Seraphina,” he said.

His hand left my throat to work at my pants and his own, his mouth leaving a trail of kisses along my neck as I squirmed beneath him. Aleksandr’s entrance couldn’t have come soon enough. One of my legs immediately wrapped around his frame as he pressed me into the wall. The sensation reminded me of the first time he had taken me in the storeroom.

It wasn’t quite deep enough, but it was enough to relieve the desperate tension between us. This time, I was as desperate as he was. I took the initiative to lift my other leg off the floor, confident he could support me as I wrapped my legs around his waist.

Sure enough, Aleksandr’s hands moved to my hips to keep me upright, his length sinking deeper inside me as I clung to his neck. I could already feel the beginnings of a new kind of rug burn on my back as he began to thrust into me against the wall. Our bodies moved together in a rhythm.

His mouth found mine a heartbeat after the first wave of my climax, intensifying the pleasure and making me cry out as my body convulsed. I was indeed seeing stars as Aleksandr took me, his pace fast and hard, releasing me from the kiss to nuzzle my neck.

He slowed his movements, pulling me off the wall and guiding me onto his length as he moved us to the bed—never leaving my body as I felt a warm trickle down my legs. I knew it was more than just him and me as he continued to thrust into me, trying to erase Garrick’s claim on my body.

As my back hit the softness of the bed, Aleksandr adjusted my legs once more. He kissed my calf as he lifted it to his shoulder. His fingers traced a path up and down the back of my leg as his thrusts slowed to a more languid pace.

“I like that you’re still marked, but I want you to be properly claimed if that mutt thinks he can touch you again. You’d really think bite marks should be enough.”

He growled. His thumb moved to my clitoris, sending me into ecstasy as my hips moved in time with his. I gripped the sheets as he tugged at my hair, trying to make me look at him while adding to the pleasure with a slight pull. He knew just how much I loved to teeter on the edge of pain and pleasure.

My body tightened around him as the peak of my pleasure began to build once more. Slowly, I managed to open my eyes and look up just in time to see Aleksandr run a tooth over his thumb, offering it to my mouth. My heart pounded as I neared the peak of my climax, and the thought of ~his~ blood…

It was as if he had planned this perfectly. I knew the pleasure his bite gave me. I opened my mouth willingly, sucking on his thumb as a new sensation bloomed within me, making the world spin and explode into bursts of color.

“Fuck,” Aleksandr gasped. His climax was intense. He was unable to contain himself at the sight of me sucking on his thumb but unwilling to remove it from my mouth as he gasped for breath. Our bodies moved in sync as I tightened around him, milking him before he released a thick stream of cum, over and over again.

He filled every part of me, my world filled with starlight and Aleksandr as I gasped for air, holding him close. I didn’t know which was more disappointing, the sensation of Aleksandr’s length leaving me, or his thumb slipping from my lips. Suddenly, I was empty of him. A warm chuckle escaped him as he began to descend down my navel with his mouth.

His fingers helped to remove what remained of my undergarments, massaging my quivering thighs.

“The orb you’re looking for needs to return home. Jack was an idiot for messing with things.”

I propped myself up on my elbows, my body trembling, ready to collapse back down. I was struggling to keep up with Aleksandr. His hand was on the outside of my pussy, his thumb gently caressing the tip of my clitoris with slow, deliberate strokes.

Aleksandr made a humming sound, slipping a finger inside me to scoop out some of the cum, as if examining his own handiwork. I blushed and shivered as he seemed to study it with interest.

“I know you’re looking for it, because I’ve been watching you very closely since the first time you accused me. This time I may have been a bit more nosy.”

“Regardless, the orb is dangerous and should be in the Fey realm.”

“Fey?” I gasped. Aleksandr’s fingers created a powerful friction inside me. The slick, wet folds of our combined cum slid against my clitoris in languished slow circles. The sensation ran about the same pace as the stars I was beginning to see as I attempted to grind my hips.

“Fairies. Fey. The others. Bogeymen. Child stealers. Choose your term, because the object belongs to them now.”

I moaned, tossing my head from side to side, trying to keep up with the conversation.

“What the hell do fairies have to do with—” My breath hitched, unable to suppress the sounds he was coaxing from me. “—they’re a proven myth!”

“Says the woman who came from another world,” Aleksandr retorted with a chuckle.

He moved to slip a finger inside me as his thumb and forefinger worked on my clit. His mouth found my inner thigh as he began to lean forward.

“Enough talk, I want you begging.”

I opened my mouth to object, but all that came out was another loud, tortured moan as he pinched my clit, a second finger joining the first inside of me.
