"HEY! Welcome back!" - Jeron welcomed Jeva cheerfully and gave her a warm hug the moment she stepped out from the private plane.
"Gosh! Don't be so over-acting, douche." - sabi ni Kyza na biglang sumulpot mula sa likuran ng babae habang may karga-kargang bata. "As if you don't know that Jeva was already here in the Philippines for almost two months." - she said sarcastically and rolled her eyes.
Jeron snorted. "You should know how to control your mouth. You're a bad influence to the kid." - he wrangled.
Kyza rolled her tongue on her inner cheeks and scowled at the latter. Kung wala lang talaga siyang hawak na bata, masasapak na niya ang lalaki.
Jeron has become friends with Jeva's friends but Kyza seems to dislike her that's why they always bicker. There's always tension between them and it is impossible to have a day without them brawling at each other.
Jeva laughed at them.
"What are you laughing at?" - Sabay na tanong ng dalawa kaya mas lalo siyang natawa sa mga ito.
"You." - she pointed to the two. "If I am not your friend maybe I'll think that you two are a couple and are having a love quarrel." - she said while laughing.
"Gosh! Kilabutan ka nga! / Over my dead amazing body!" - sabay ulit na sabi ng dalawa. Jeron is shaking his body and roughly shook his hand to himself while Kyza took few steps backwards and look at him disgustingly.
"What are you saying amazing body?" - Kyza sniggered. "Eww! You look like a stick! Wait, no. I think that does give justice to the stick." - she smirked as she mortified him in front of their friends.
All of them were here because they just got back from Boracay. They spent two weeks there because they are celebrating Beatrice's boutique branch in the Philippines.
Jeron was thrilled because of anger, he wanted to scratch Kyza's smirk on her face.
"Mukha ka ring owl! Ang laki ng mata mo!" - ganti niya naman dito.
"Aba't--!"
"Stop it guys. I think we should go now." - Beatrice said.
Gwyn nods. "Yeah, it's so hot in here."
"Wow ha? Parang hindi ka nga nainitan doon sa boracay tapos ngayon mainit na sayo ang sikat ng araw? Hello, girl. 7 o'clock am pa lang no?" - pambabara ni Mari sa kaibigan. Gwyn rolled her eyes at her friend.
"Let's go to my office." - aya ni Jeron kanila.
They're here in Luther Lucena's Airport. Naunang naglakad kina Jeron at Jeva ang kanilang mga kaibigan.
"He has been looking for you." - Jeron said.
She gave him a small smile. "Yes, I know." - she stopped walking and stared at Jeron. "Why?"
"What why?" - he asked confusedly.
"All along you knew where I was. Why didn't you told him?" - it was really a puzzled to Jeva. Dahil kung tutuusin pwedeng nitong sabihin sa asawa niya kung nasaan siya sa loob ng tatlong taon ngunit hindi nito ginawa.
That's right! It was already three years since she left the Philippines, since she broke up with her husband and since she got a call that Shylane died. She stayed in Spain for that whole 3 years. She went there to cool down and to finish her studies. And now, she's already an OB Gyn.
Jeron shrugged. "I don't know. Alam ko namang hindi mo sinabi sa akin na wag sabihin sa asawa mo kung nasaan ka. It was just my initiative. You left secretly that's why I concluded that you don't want him to know and I respect your decision." - sunod-sunod na sabi ng lalaki.
"Thank you."
He creased his forehead. "For what?"
"For respecting me and for understanding what I wanted." - she sighed and slowly walked. "Back then, I really didn't know how to face my husband after breaking up with and knowing that I was totally wrecked because of the news that we got." - malungkot na saad niya.
Nag-aalalang tumingin sa kanya si Jeron. "How are you coping with it?"
She didn't not answer, instead she just gave him a small smile and shrugged nonchalantly.
"Anyways, what is your plan?" - Jeron asked her.
"Plan? What plan?" - she pretended that she knew nothing.
"Anong plano mo sa asawa mo?" - he asked her directly.
Napalunok ng ilang beses si Jeva bago sumagot. "I don't know. I will meet him some other day. Ako na mismo ang kakausap ka kanya tungkol sa annulment. Dahil hanggang ngayon wala pa ring balita mula sa attorney ko tungkol sa pinapapirmahan kong annulment papers."
"Are you really sure about this?" - paninigarado niya. "What about Way? I'm sure he's going to look for his father."
Umurong ang dila niya dahil sa sinabi ng lalaki. She may be ruthless because she didn't think about how her daughter may feel about it but it is for her own good. She doesn't want her child to witness how messy their relationship is. She knew that it would affect her child's cognitive aspect.
He cleared his throat when he noticed her spacing out. "You know what, your daughter's name is so weird."
Napatawa na lang si Jeva dahil sa itinuran ng lalaki. Most of the people said that her daughter's name is really weird. What is so weird in Way Victory? Yeah, that's her daughter's name.
Way is from her name Leyn pronounced as Lane and it's synonym is pathway, it will be weirder if she'll named her pathway.
Victory is from her father's name Champ short for champion, and if you are a champion meaning you achieved the victory.
All in all her child's name means 'Way to the Victory'. Pero hinayaan niya na lang ang ibang tao na mag-isip kung saan niya kinuha ang pangalan ng anak niya.
"Are you hiring?" - biglang tanong ng lalaki.
"Qué?" What? - bulalas niya.
He wriggled his shoulder. "Are you hiring a father for your child? Mag-aapply sana ako." He said in a jest.
"Oh? Please... SHUT UP. Hindi ka bagay sa kaibigan ko." - sabi ng babaeng bigla na lang sumulpot sa kanilang harapan. Again, it's Kyza the number one kontrabida in life in Jeron.
"Napakakontrabida mo talaga eh no?" - he said sarcastically. "Ano bang alam mo sa feelings ni Jeva."
She raised her brow. "I just know and besides you're not his type." - she said mockingly as she looked at him head to toe.
"Alam mo ba ang type niya, ha?" - panghahamon niya dito.
"Of course, we've been friends for so many years. And I just know that my friend is not a dog."
"What?!"
"My friend is not a dog para magkagusto sa isang buto." - she said while smirking at him.
Aambahan sana ni Jeron ang babae pero pinigilan niya ang kanyang sarili dahil may hawak itong bata.
"Napakabrutal mo talagang babae ka kaya nga nagtataka ako kung bakit ikakasal ka na eh." - he snorted.
Tiningnan ni Kyza ang lalaki na parang naghahamon ng away. "Don't worry, you're not invited."
"You--" he breathes heavily to control himself while fisting his palms.
Napatakip ng bibig si Jeva upang pigilan ang sarili na tumawa. Kyza's wedding is one of the reason why she came back to the Philippines. Kahit siya ay nagtataka rin. Hindi siya makapaniwalang magsesettle down na ang kaibigan dahil sa sobrang pait ng ugali nito na aakalain mong kinain niya lahat ng ampalaya sa buong mundo.
Inismiran lang ni Kyza ang lalaki at tumingin sa kanyang kaibigan. "Tulog na tulog na itong anak mo. I think we should go para makapagpahinga na ito ng maayos."
She nods at her friend. She looked at Jeron and thanked him before saying goodbye.
It was Jeron who helped her left the country using Lucena's private plane. Kaya walang traces na umalis siya ng bansa dahil dito. Ito rin ang naghatid sa kanyang mga kaibigan papuntang Espanya noong nabalitaan nilang patay na ang kaibigan even their parents go with them.
Malaki ang utang na loob ni Jeva kay Jeron kaya nahihiya at nakokonsensya siya rito dahil alam niyang hindi niya kayang tumbasan o gantihan ang damdamin nito para sa kanya. Alam niya na kahit bali-baliktaran pa ang mundo ay mahal pa rin niya ang kanyang asawa kaya masakit para sa kaniyang ang mga desisyong ginagawa niya.
Jeva currently staying at Mari's house. Since wala namang ibang kasama dito si Mari dahil lumipat na ng bahay ang malanding si Kyza doon sa mapapangasawa niya. Who would've thought that she will marry her mortal enemy? Love moves in mysterious way ika nga. But she is happy because Kyza is now happy and free from her cruel past. Hindi nila inakala na ganun pala kakasalimuot ang nakaraan nito and they felt sorry for her but at least, she already found peace.
ON THE OTHER SIDE. Vladimir and his friends were drowning themselves at Pietro's pad. They were celebrating Hummer's upcoming wedding.
"Cheers to our friend!" - sigaw ni Champ habang itinaas ang champagne glass at hindi man lang nito naitayo ng maayos ang sarili dahil sa kalasingan. "Hindi ka sana matulad sa akin este sa amin na nasira ang marriage life!" - he said bitterly as his tears fell down from his eyes.
"Jesus! He is so hopeless." - Chandria said while shaking her head at tumayo para kumuha ng juice.
"Ano bang nangyari dyan?" - Elyssa asked curiously. Elyssa and Chandria are Suella's friend. They are also actresses. Chandria is Dane's fianceé who happens to be Jeva's friend. Correction. Not anymore.
Siniko ni Suella si Elyssa. "Ano ka ba? Just now lang te? His wife left him three years ago." - Suella whispered to her.
"May asawa pala siya?"
Suella rolled their eyes. "Before Vladimir stopped acting he told the public that he is married. Ano ka ba?" - she said.
"Ayy oo nga pala ano."
Hinayaan na lang ng mga babae na magpakalasing ang kanilang mga kaibigan na lalaki. Champ is wondering where Jeron is. Kanina pa nila ito tinatawagan pero hindi ito sumasagot.
"Guys! Guys! Guys!" - lahat sila ay nagulat dahil sa biglang pagsigaw ni Jaxxon.
"What the hell, Jaxxon?!" - Pietro hissed.
"Open the tv, dali! I'll connect my phone." - nagtataka man ay sinunod ni Pietro ang utos ni Jaxxon.
Nang maiconnect na nito ang kanyang cellphone sa tv ay nakita nila ang mukha ni Patricia Mari sa screen who is having live video on her Instagram account. She is a famous novel writer and a reporter.
They rolled their eyes at Jaxxon. He is really a die-hard fan of Patricia. He has all of her published books.
"The heck?! Akala ko pa naman kung ano na. Hindi ka ba nagsasawa sa mukha ng pinsan ko?" - Hummer said irritatingly. "Kung pumunta ka na lang kaya sa bahay, eh no? Palagi yang tumatambay doon sa asawa ko."
"Correction, fianceé. Hindi pa kayo kasal." - Jaxxon said before he sticks his tongue out.
"Tss!" - Hummer rolled his eyes.
"Anyways, sabi niya kasi may matetake-over daw ng live niya. Baka chicks yun share ko lang sa iyo."
"Hehe." - Suella laughed in a bored manner. "Mukha ka talagang chicks--"
"Hello everyone!" - napatigil si Suella sa sasabihin niya ng may ibang babaeng sumulpot sa tv screen and is waving her hands. The woman is so beautiful. She's wearing a simple tees her short ash-blonde compliment her fair skin. She have a natural rosy cheeks and red lips. Her chinky eyes were also cute.
The girl on the tv screen cleared her throat before she smiled sweetly. "I am Jeva Leyn. My friend Mari told me to take-over her live video for a bit because she'll be going to deposit something in the--"
The girl stopped talking when someone behind the camera shouted Shut up! She laughed. "Anyways, I really don't know what to do because it is my first time presenting myself on a live video and--- what the hell?!" - nanlaki ang singkit na mga mata nito. "Why are they too many viewers?" - she said as she clasped her hands.
"Why is she asking that? Aside from the fact that Patricia is famous, that girl is very stunning." - Jaxxon said. "What do you think, Vlad?" - he grinned at Vladimir who became sober and was stunned staring at his wife on the screen.
His wife is undoubtedly beautiful. Bagay na bagay sa kanya ang bagong hairstyle nito.
"What the hell, Jaxxon?! Bakit mo ipinakita ang mukha ng babaeng yan kay Vladimir?! Patayin mo yan." - Suella said while trying to grab Jaxxon's cellphone.
Jaxxon pushed Suella softly. "Why are you acting like a jealous girlfriend? Hindi ba si Pietro ang boyfriend mo? Kaya magtigil ka dyan." - Jaxxon said to her coldly. Nahiya naman ang babae dahil sa itinuran nito. Jaxxon really don't like Suella because he found her untrustworthy and bitch. Kaya gustong-gusto niya na makita ang naiinis na mukha nito.
"Bakit pa kasi umuwi ang babaeng yan? Para ano? Para saktan ulit si Vlad?" - naiinis na tanong nito.
"Enough, Suella." - saway ni Pietro sa kaniya which makes her fuming mad.
After that, all of them look at the screen again listening to her words.
Jeva is currently reading and answering questions.
"I have mixed blood. Spanish, Chinese and Filipino. Maybe that's the reason why I look like a foreigner. And maybe because of my hair." - she chuckled as he touched her hair. "But, I am very fluent in Tagalog. You can ask me in Tagalog."
"As I have said, I have Chinese blood, maybe that's where I got my chinky eyes." - she laughed as she answered the question asking why she has chinky eyes.
"Kailan kayo naging magkaibigan ni Patricia at saan kayo nagkakilala?" - binasa niya ang tanong. "Well," Binasa niya ang kanyang labi gamit ang kanyang dila. "Mari is already my friend since we were eight. So, I kinda knew a lot of things about her, especially her embarrassing moments. Who you want to know?" -she laughed.
"Don't you dare." - Mari said who suddenly appeared beside her. "Guys, maganda rin ang boses ng kaibigan ko na 'to. Mana sa akin." - she giggled. "The purpose of having this live video is, we will be singing different songs. Well, base sa mabubunot naming kanta." - she lift the glass jar kung saan nakalagay ang mga maliliit na papel na may title ng kanta. "There will be solo and duet. Depende sa kantang mabubunot namin. I will the one to pick a song her and vice versa." - Mari explained to the viewers. She handed the guitar to Jeva dahil wala naman siyang talent pagdating sa mga instruments.
Naunang bumunot si Jeva para kay Mari at sumunod naman ang huli. Nakailang exchange of songs pa sila.
Napalunok siya sa kantang nabunot ni Mari para sa kanya. It was the song she always sang for her husband before. "I will always love you". Mabigat ang kanyang dibdib habang kumakanta. She missed singing this song for her husband. It feels like a sword went straight to her heart because she knew that she would no longer experience those moments again.
After singing, bumunot na naman siya ng kanta para kay Mari and it's "till my heartaches end". It is as if Mari is singing for her.
Jeva felt so uneasy, she knew that anytime her tears will fall involuntarily. It was so unfair, dahil sa loob ng tatlong taon hindi man lang niya magawang kamuhian ang asawa niya at hanggang ngayon mahal na mahal pa rin niya ito.
After singing the song Mari noticed her friend's face became blue. So, she told the viewers that the next next will be their last song and it will be a duet.
Pero sadyang mapaglaro talaga ang tadhana because the next song is "Secret Love song" by Little Mix. Mari looked at her friend apologetically and the latter gave her a faint smile.
"Why can't we like that? Wish we could be like that..." - Jeva ended the song emotionally.
Mari zoomed in on her face on the camera when she noticed her friend began to fall while she's pretending that she's reading comments while Jeva dried her eyes behind her friend. "Sorry guys, my friend here is already married and already has a child so, she's not available." - nagulat na lang si Jeva dahil sa sinabi ng kaibigan she tapped Mari's back so she can also read the comments. People were admiring her, her talent and her beauty. They were asking her if she's single and available. Mapababae man o lalaki.
"My friend is not a celebrity." - by her looks and talent they concluded that she is also a famous person like her friend, Patricia. "But, she's a famous OB Gyn in Spain." - with that, more people adore her more. Tila nahiya naman si Jeva sa pinagsasabi ng kaniya kaibigan.
Nagtataka naman si Jeva ng biglang nagkagulo ang comment section. So, she helped Mari scrolled the comments when they saw her husband's comment saying; "Back-off everyone, that's my wife."
Sabay namang napalunok si Jeva at Mari sa kanilang nabasa. They didn't know that Champ was watching them and they didn't expect that he would actually leave a comment like that.
Most of the viewers were shocked but all of them were happy because the legendary actor's wife has a goddess-like face. Hindi na sila nagtataka kung bakit mas pinili nitong talikuran ang pagiging artista dahil dito. Napakunot naman ang noo ni Jeva sa mga nababasang comments. She don't knew about these things.
Few minutes after, Mari ended her live video. Her eyes were asking while she's looking at her friend.
"What was that? Did he really..." - naguguluhang at hinfi makapaniwalang tanong ni Jeva sa kaibigan.
Mari sighed. "Yes. Champ stopped accepting projects after you left and he announced that he is already married but he never said the name. He's still protecting your name. Pero hindi ko alam kung bakit bigla na lang siyang nag comment ng ganun."
Natahimik si Jeva sa itinuran ng kaibigan. "That man really loves you, Jeva. Are you really gonna let him go?" - kinagat niya ang kanyang dila dahil hindi niya alam kung anong isasagot sa kaibigan.
"WHAT the heck was that?" - hindi makapaniwalang bulaslas ni Jaxxon. All of the people inside the pad couldn't believe what he had done.
"Are you crazy?! Why did you commented something like that?!" - hindi maipinta ang mukha ni Suella.
He shrugged. "Why? That was a fact."
"Kahit na!" - napapadyak ng paa ni Suella. Champ is becoming more and more stubborn when it comes to his wife. "Maghihiwalay din naman kayo."
Champ gritted his teeth because of what she said. He will not let his wife leave him for good. He will not allow their marriage to be annulled. He did not sign the annulment papers. After all, those papers were just fake.
He smirked inwardly. What are you really up to, my dear wife?
