Daphne's POV
I haven't talked to any of them in days. I've spoken only a couple words with Arron but nothing much. Everytime I see Zander or Kat in the halls, I avoid or try to ignore them as much as possible.
They've come over to my house countless times but I never open the door. My dad has asked why I don't want to see them but I just tell him that I'm mad at them. He lets the subject drop once he sees I don't want to talk about it.
I just can't seem to want to face them, its just- I don't know. But I do know that I'm going to have face them at some point. Just not right now.

Arron's POV
Daphne has been avoiding me and its killing me. We've spoken a couple words here and there but it's not enough. I always try to keep an eye on her by either going myself or sending a female warrior wolf to watch her to make sure she's safe. Above it all, the vampires are due to attack any day now.
Right now I'm currently driving home from school from yet another day of Daphne avoiding me. I've been really busy lately with some battle strategics form when the vampires attack.
I've had all the wolves work harder so that we're prepared. We've kept a close eye on all the cubs so that if they attack, they can be quickly wisked away to safety.
I hop out of the car and go inside to my office to do paperwork and keep preparing. But, no matter how hard I try, I can't get her out of my head.

Daphne's POV
I arrived at home, and instantly went into my room. Like always, my dad wasn't at home because he was working so I didn't have to explain my sour mood.
I changed into some sweats and a t-shirt and got my laptop so I could watch some netflix and relax. Just as I was about to get comfy underneath my sea of balnkets, I hear pounding on the front door downstairs.
"Daphne Kingston! Open this door now! You've been avoiding us for too long and it's time for us to talk!" I hear them shout which I instantly recognize as Zander.
I don't move from where I am because I really just don't want to see them. He keeps pounding loud on the door.
"Daphne open it now or I'll kick it down!" He threatened.
With a sigh and a it's now or never thought, I walked downstairs and toward the door. Just as I opened the door, he shouldered his way in with Kat right behind him.
"Hello," I muttered quietly.
"Hello! Hello?! Is that all you have to say after completely avoiding us for days?!" shouted Zander angrily.
Kat put a hand on his shoulder as I said, "Well what do you expect me to say? I just needed some time," I told them.
"Well you should have told us atleast," said Kat softer.
"Just like you told me," I said annoydly with sarcasm.
I don't need to give them an explanation especially since it was just some very much needed time to myself. Plus they didn't tell me so why shoud I?
"Look we're sorry but we really need to talk," said Zander more calmly now.
I sighed and said, "Fine, lets go into the living room."
We went into the living room and sat down. We sat there in silence until I broke the silence.
"Well?" I asked.
With a sigh, Zander said, "Well go ahead, I'll tell you everything you want to know."
"Since when are you a vampire?" I asked him wasting no time.
"Since I was born," he answers.
"Are both of your parents vampires and do you drink human blood?" I ask him.
"Yes they both are vampires and yes we drink human blood but we prefer not to, we prefer animal blood," he explains.
"Okay, where do you live? Is it like a huge castle?" I ask curiously.
"No Daphne it is not a freaking castle. I don't know why people put it in movies or write in books that we live in huge castles from the medieval times. I actually live in a house like that wolf's. Speaking of, you need to explain what your were doing with that... thing," he said with disgust as he said the last word.
With yet another sigh, I said, "He saved me and took care of me while I was hurt."
"Saved you from what?" asked Kat.
I told them the whole story leaving out the parts of the moments between Arron and I. Once I was finished, they were wide eyed. Zander was the first one to speak.
"I still don't get what you were still doing with him. Couldn't a simple thank you have been enough and then leave?"Â he asked, a bit of anger tracing his voice.
"I couldn't," I told him.
I really didn't want to talk to them about Arron and me. I don't even know where I stand with him. I'm still confused of all these feelings spiraling inside me.
"And why the hell not?! And how the hell do you know he's a werewolf?!" He shouted.
"Calm down Zander, she's not going to want to tell us if we yell at her," said Kat to Zander.
"Now that you're calm," she said looking at Zander, "Answer his question please Daphne," she said looking at me now.
I looked away from their stares and and said, "Because he's my mate."

Arron's POV
I decided that I was done because I wasn't getting any work done because I couldn't stop thinking about Daphne.
So, I decided to go over to her house and see how she was doing. Because enough is enough I need to see her. I got into the car and drove off to her house.

Daphne's POV
"What?!" I heard Zander and my dad yell at the same time as my dad came in through the front door.
I cringed as I noticed he heard.
"What the hell do you mean that he is your mate?!" Shouted my dad from the door.
The others just froze. But then it hit me. How does he know what a mate is?
"No! My daughter is not going to be the mate of anyone!" He shouted.
"No wait wait wait! How do you know what a mate is?!" I ask him.
That made him go quiet in a split second. With a sigh, he came into the living room and sat on the couch.
I sat next to him and waited expectantly for him to explain.
"It's because of your mom," he answered.
I instantly stiffened as I heard him say mom. She abandoned me and that subject was a big no no.
"What about her?" I asked stiffly.
"Daphne... She... She...." He said but couldn't finish fast enough.
"Dad what?!" I shouted at him.
"She is a vampire," he told me.
ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±
That's it! Just kidding I'll keep going! Tricked yah didn't I tho! ðð
ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±ð±
"What?!" All three of us yelled.
"What the heck?!" I yelled at my dad.
"Yeah, I'm her beloved. We fell in love. Except she never turned me so you're 99.9999% human," he explained.
"What do you mean 99.99999% human? Am I not 100% human?" I asked.
"No, there's still vampire blood running through you, it's just that the human blood is more dominant than the vampire blood," he explained.
I was silent. It just couldn't go through my head. I mean what the hell?! Could this evening get any worse? The answer: yes, yes it can.
Just then there was s knock at the door. My dad got up to get it and guess who it was. Arron. I just had to say could this evening get any worse.
