Daphne's POV
I stand in front of the large mirror in the room, wringing my hands. My make up is flawless and my hair is styled in tight curls cascading down my back, with a braid crown wrapped around my head. I'm dressed in an elegant dress with some nude high heels. I'm only seconds away to an exciting and funny moment but, I'm totally a jumble of nerves. I take deep breaths as I try to calm down.
"Daphne honey, are you ready?" I hear my mom ask from behind me.
I turn around and look at her. She looks absolutely stunning, she's in a white fitted dress that ends at her ankles. She's paired it with some white high heels. Her hair is in an intricate up do that looks totally complicated. Her veil is placed on with a touch of a peachy blush pin,the color of my dress, holding it down. Her makeup is subtle, but beautiful. She has a small touch of jewelry.
"Wow mom, you look absolutely beautiful," I compliment her, my voice coming out wobbly.
She laughs lightly and grabs my hands.
"I swear Daphne, I think you're more nervous than me and I'm the one getting married!" she says laughing again.
"Gee, thanks Daphne for the compliment," I say, teasing her.
She laughs again and shakes her head.
"Yes Daphne, thank you, you look stunning as well. That Arron boy will be drooling when he sees you," she says with a smirk.
"Mom!" I shout, pouting.
She only laughs and turns around when the door opens. Kat comes inside. She's wearing a light pink dress with some white heels. She has her hair styled the same as mine, minus the braid crown. We do look amazing if I do say so myself.
I hear my mom take out a shaky breath. I hug her and squeeze her hand.
"You'll be great, I'm the one that's totally nervous remember?" I chuckle.
She chuckles as well and nods her head. We start walking out the room and toward the doors that lead to where all the guests and the groom are. We reach the large doors and stop. I turn to my mom and give her an encouraging smile.
"Ready?" I ask as I hold my arm out.
Yes, I am going to walk my mom down the isle. Quite frankly she asked me to so I happily agreed to it. I just hope I don't break down from all the eyes that will be staring at us. The only thing that is making me feel better is that most of the attention will be on the bride. Although, I might not want to mention that at the moment.
She takes another deep breath and looks at me.
"Ready," she says surely.
She grabs onto my arm and the doors open. everyone turns to look at us. I turn my head to look at my mom but see that she's too busy looking at the groom. I see the groom and I smile. My dad looks handsome in his black suit and sleeked back hair. He's also staring at my mom, and I swear his jaw dropped when he saw my mom. I walk my mom forward and hand her hand to my dad.
"Take care of her," I say, laughing at my joke.
He gives me a silly smile and answers, "Of course ma'lady."
I hear a couple people laugh from the crowd. They're supernatural hearing is seriously crazy. I should know, the first couple of days, I almost went insane when everything was louder than it usually was. I mean even a whisper felt like it was a yell. I had to stick some ear clogging thingies to keep the sounds out. I also might have made some people go deaf for a little because of that. I guess I yelled too much because of the ear thingies. Oh well. Let's just say I've definitely gotten used to all the changes. Well... almost. I'm still weirded out that I drink blood now but, what can I do.
I go to stand to the side. If you couldn't already tell, I am the bridesmaid. Yeah, my mom only decided to have one. I look over to the other side to see the most electrifying brown orbs already staring at me. I feel my breath is taken away with just one gaze. He gives me a smile and mouths, 'you look beautiful'. I feel my face turn red as I look away. Yep, Arron is the best man.
The ceremony starts and I think you know the drill. You might be wondering why they're getting married. Well, as they told me, since they were gone from each other for far too long, along with that my dad thought she abandoned him, they decided to remarry. I don't really understand their reasoning but, I just went with it. Anywho, they get to the I do's and kiss. I cheer as they do so.
I turn to look at the crowd and spot Ben and Luke. They each had an engagement ring and their wedding was getting pretty damn close. I am so happy for them, I love them both so much. I then turn to look at their side to see another pair of familiar faces. Kat and Zander. Yes, Zander got the throne and is now King. Kat is his beloved and is soon to be queen. I couldn't be any more happier for them. I knew they would end up together one day. Aaaaaaa! They grow up so fast!
And yes, the vampires and werewolves no longer really hate each other and have now recently became allies. With Zander's ruling and the other Alphas agreeing, we will have no problems with each other and will help each other out. So, it all worked, really.
I turn to look back when my mom nudges me. I see all the women huddled up, looking at me and my mom expectantly. My mom holds up her bouquet infront of me. My mouth forms an 'O' as I understand. I go to stand with the others, smiling nervously. I look around to see Kat at my side. I give her a small smile and turn to the front. My mom is standing at front with her back to us. She has the bouquet above her head and is getting ready to throw it.
She counts down, "Three, two, one!"
She throws it and it lands in my unexpectant arms. I juggle it as I try to keep it from falling. I hear cheers abrupt from the ladies around me and Kat hugs me, giving me a wink. Hmm... I see Arron walk towards me and stops infront of me. I smile confusedly at him. He does something surprising that makes me cover my mouth with my hand. He gets down on one knee and grabs my other hand.
"Daphne Kingston. My love, my mate, my life. I have been inlove with you since the first time I saw you. If I do recall correctly, when I first saw you, I thought you were an angel. Unreal. So I, being 6, thought of giving you my cupcake in hopes that you'd like me back. Of course that all went down hill because when I approached you, I had to sneeze and somehow threw my hand froward, with the cupcake, and it went all over your face," he said chuckling.
I didn't remember any of this but, I clung to every word he said, laughing as well.
"Ever since then, you hated me, therefore becoming my enemy. And to think that that same girl would be my mate and be standing here before me today. What I'm trying to say is that I have loved you from the very beginning and want you by my side, now and forever. I don't want to live any other way, I want you and your quirky comments that make my day. I love you Daphne so much that I can't even begin to explain with words. So for that, Daphne, would you please make my dream come true and marry me?" he said, taking out a box and opening it, a truly radiant ring inside.
I was speechless. I felt the tears start to come out as I heard his beautiful words. I just- wow, i can't even think properly. I guess I was taking too long because his hopeful expression was now turning one into hurt.
I quickly cupped my hands on his cheeks and said, "Of course!"
He gave me a huge smile and slipped the ring onto my right hand. He got up and crashed his lips into mine. When he pulled apart, I finally heard the loud cheers and the congratulations coming from the crowd. I wiped the tears from my eyes and hugged Arron. Everyone congratulated us and we all kept on partying afterwards. I was thankful as I danced with all my friends and family of how everything turned out. How one of the surprises I thought had ruined my life, became one of the best things that happened to me, being mated to my enemy, or should I say former enemy/now fiancé.

That's the end and I'm so sad! I feel empty and I'm definitely going to miss writing about these crazy people ð But on another note, I'm happy I finished a book and I'm really proud! Thank you guys for everything, Im truly thankful for everything that has came from this book and I couldn't be happier! I looooooove you all soooo much!
