Chapter 98: Chapter 98

I Never Regretted Leaving You (Can't Win Me Back)Words: 4395

Chapter 98 Nathan pulled Victoria behind him and gritted his teeth. “Young Master Sanchez, this is a family matter of mine. You have no right to interfere.”

Theodore sneered, “Mr. Hill, to those who know, Isabella is the wife of Mr. Hill. To those who don’t, they’d think Victoria is your wife. If you were in ancient times, you’d be the kind of man who would favor the concubine and eliminate the wife–getting yourself thrown into a pig cage.”

Nathan suppressed his anger. “Young Master Sanchez, your hand is reaching too far. Who gave you the right to manage my family affairs? Isn’t that a bit too much?”

Theodore took out a document, pulled out the agreement inside, shook it open, and revealed a contract. It was the ‘selling contract‘ between Isabella and Theodore.

“From now on, Isabella will work for me 24 hours a day, paying off a debt of one billion. Her face is the face of my company, and if you damage her face, it will affect my flourishing business. Mr. Hill, do you still think that her matters are none of my concern?”

Theodore spoke calmly.

Nathan was rendered speechless. “Absurd. Young Master Sanchez, don’t tell me you don’t understand labor law? Even if Isabella signed a long–term contract with you, agreeing to work for you her whole life, according to labor law, her working hours should be capped at eight hours a day...”

Before Nathan could finish, Theodore brought out an addendum to the contract. It clearly stated that Isabella voluntarily agreed to work overtime, with overtime pay according to the labor law’s double compensation. The document also included Isabella’s signature and thumbprint.

Theodore carefully folded the contract and, with a smile, glanced at Nathan. “Mr. Hill, if you wish to redeem your wife from this contract, then you’ll have to pay me ten times the agreed penalty fee.”

Nathan’s face turned white with anger. He glared at Isabella with frustration. “Fool! I already warned you, doing business with him means you’re bound to lose!”

Isabella was stunned by Theodore’s meticulous planning and flawless calculation. Truly, he was the heir to the Sanchez family.

She wasn’t panicked at all. Instead, she looked at Nathan with mocking eyes. “Nathan, either you pay to redeem me, or divorce me. I’ll handle my debts without dragging you into it.”

Nathan’s expression darkened further.

Chapter Isabella saw a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes, and she couldn’t help but feel that he was considering the option of abandoning her as a burden.

Theodore said coldly, “Isabella, today marks the first day of your ‘work. Come with me.”

Isabella followed Theodore, leaving the Gu residence.

After Isabella left, Nathan slumped onto the sofa.

Victoria comforted him, “Nathan, my Sis is with Theodore now, and if she gets caught up in his schemes, her debts will only grow. It could end up dragging down the Hill family.”

Nathan snorted. “How could I sit back and do nothing?”

Victoria, following his thoughts, said, “Why don’t you just divorce Bella?”

Nathan fell into a heavy silence. A look of regret flashed across his eagle eyes.

When he had bid for the “Circle City” earlier, he had only been thinking of either winning the bid to give the heart–shaped lock to Victoria as a gift or raising the price to drain Theodore’s cash reserves. He never imagined that Theodore would turn the tables on him. Now, Theodore was using Isabella’s naivety to Chapter 98 put him in a tight spot.

He only had two options: either pay the exorbitant penalty of one hundred billion yuan to compensate for Isabella’s breach of contract, or divorce her and protect himself.

“Theodore really played this beautifully,” Nathan muttered, genuinely admiring Theodore’s strategy.

Victoria, eager to flatter, said, “Nathan, Theodore may be young, but how could he be your match? It’s just that Isabella is holding you back...”

Mentioning Isabella caused Nathan’s expression to darken once more.

“Isabella, you forced me into this Victoria’s eyes lit up with delight.

Meanwhile, Isabella sat in Theodore’s car, her face grim and her eyes distant as she gazed out of the window. Theodore’s hand warmth. and concern, spoke softly, “Sis, I’m sorry I’m late. You’ve suffered.”
