Chapter 133
âGamma Janet!â
Kass rushed forward to hold Janetâs hands with a worried face, âAre you alright? I heard that you were brought to the Counseling Hall today. Some people were saying that you killed Danton⦠Was it true? Are you hurt?â
Janet patted his shoulder with a smile, âDonât worry. I am fine.â
Kass let out a sigh of relief and bent his back to hug her, âThat is so nice to hearâ¦I was worried sick.â
Janet wanted to hug him back. Yet Kass was shoved aside roughly the next second.
It was Daran.
Daran wrapped his one arm around Janetâs shoulder in a possessive gesture and gave Kass a warning look, âYou are a mated man now. Keep your distance.â
Kassâs jaw tightened, âWe were just talking.â
âDo you always cuddle the person you talk to?â Daran taunted, âWhat is it? Some skin hunger disorder?â
Janet frowned, âDaran, that is enoughâ¦â
Kassâs cheeks seemed to be on fire, âYou-You are a fucking control freak, Daran! Everyone in Blood Moon Pack thinks that Janet did a hell of a good job when she rejected you! Including Alpha Casper! You are no longer mates! It is you who should keep your distance from Janet!â
âMind your tongue, Kass.â Daran hissed with his eyes gleaming coldly. âJust because Janet treats you like a little brother doesnât mean that you get to fucking comment on our business!â
âAnyone is better than you!â Kass cried, âJust wait till she finds her second-chance mate-â
âOK, OK!â Morgana gave a tug at Kassâs sleeve, âEasy you guys. I didnât sneak Kass in here so that you two can trash talk to each other. So truce?â
The two men didnât say anything.
But they were still glaring at each other.
âOK, good enough.â Morgana clapped her hands and turned to Janet, âJanet, you said that I havenât done anything to win your trust yet. So now I brought Kass to you. To show that I am really on your team. How is that? Are you ready to finally include me in your plan?â
Janet pondered.
Then she looked to Kass, âWhat do you think?â
Kass took a quick glance at Morgana, blushing a little.
âI thinkâ¦she can be trusted,â he said in a whisper.
Morgana giggled and pecked his cheek, âThank you.â
Janet smiled looking at their little interaction. They really made a great couple. She was so happy for Kass.
âDaran?â she asked.
Daran crossed his arms indifferently, âI reserve my opinion.â âOf course you do,â Kass rolled his eyes.
âOK, full pass. Welcome to the team, Morgana,â Janet said.
Morgana flipped her red hair and smiled, âFinally. Now, I know that you have got an answer out of Andre. You donât need to give me the details. Just tell me what is your next move? What should I do to get rid of that fucking psycho Lance?â
âWe need to lure Lance out of the city,â Janet said. âWe canât kill him on rogue-dominated land.â
Morgana frowned, âThat is a bit tricky⦠Lance rarely leaves our city. He is like a turtle hiding in his shellâ¦Oh, except for that time when he went to the Crimson Fortress by himself.â
Janet sighed.
That would be a great opportunity to kill Lance.
But they didnât know who the Rogue King was at that time.
âSo now what do we do?â Kass asked, âCan we knock him down and bring him out of the city? It shouldnât be very hard if the four of us go after him together.â
Morgana shook her head, âNo, that doesnât work. He is always surrounded by his guards. Even if we can find a way to knock him down, the soldiers will catch us on our way out.â
Janet bit her lips, frustrated.
So was there really no way around this?
âI have a plan,â Daran said abruptly.
Everyone looked at me, and he asked Morgana, âWhy did Lance leave the city and to Crimson Fortress?â
go
âWell, he likes to play with his prey before he kills them,â Morgana said with a disgusted tone. âIt gives him a sense of power, making him feel like he is in control.â
âThen we will use that mindset against him,â Daran said deeply. âI want to send words to Crimson Fortress and ask Casper to come and rescue us. We will flee the city in the meantime and meet Casper halfway.â
âLance might notice,â Kass said.
âWe want him to notice. Actually, Morgana, I want you to tell Lance that Casper is coming to get us, and I want you to give Lance our detailed escape route. He will teel like he has all the information. He will definitely come after us.â
Janetâs eyes lit up.
Right.
Lance liked to act as a hunter. His eagerness to catch Daran and Janet would win over his rationality, causing him to take the risk and leave the city.
âOnce he chases us to the border and crosses the borderline, we will gang up with Casper and kill him right on the spot,â Daran said ruthlessly.

âThis is quite brilliant,â Morgana laughed and clapped her hands. âThe best part is that Lance doesnât know I am working with you guys. So he will trust whatever information I feed him.â
Janet nodded along, âAnd he doesnât know that we have already got a hand on the method of how to kill him. So he wonât be on his guard when he leaves the city.â
Everyone was excited about Daranâs plan.
This actually worked!
âI will send words to Alpha Casper,â Kass nodded. âI am a rogue. I can leave the city without being affected by the taboo.â
And that reminded Janet.
âWe canât leave the city right now, right? Not with the rogueâs blood still left in our body. How should we cross the border and kill Lance in that case?â she asked, slightly concerned.
Morgana snapped her fingers with a smile, âI can help with that.â
She pointed at the food that Kass brought in and said, âThese are clean foods, which donât have rogue blood in them. From now on you should only consume the food that I personally deliver to your room. Give it 3 to 4 days for the remaining rogue blood in your system to be removed and then you will be able to leave the city.â
â3 to 4 days.â Kass rubbed his chin, âThat is about the time I let Alpha Casper know about our plan.â
âOK. So we set the action time at the evening, 4 days from now on.â
Daran said in a deep voice, looking around the room.
âBy that time, Casper should have known about our plan and the rogue blood in our system should have already worn out. Morgana, please find a way to draw your soldiers away from our room that night and me and Janet will leave the city, heading towards the border. Are we all clear on this?â
Everyone nodded eagerly.
Janet clenched her fists tightly, feeling the fire of vengeance burning inside of her chest.
Finally, they were able to kill Lance.
And avenge all those people who died in that monsterâs hand.
The following 4 days went by quite peacefully.
Daran and Janet never left their room. They followed Morganaâs instructions and only consumed food that she delivered to their room.
Soon, the fourth night came. And it was go
time.

Janet and Daran all changed to light sportswear, which allowed them to move more freely.
Janet was dressed in a sports bra and black leggings, paired with black sneakers. She put her hair up high in a ponytail.
They waited patiently in their room for the nightfall.
At around 11 oâclock at night, a small taping noise came from the outside as though someone had just thrown a rock at their window.
It was Morganaâs signal to them.
Janet rushed to the window. She found that the patrol team outside was no longer there.
Now they were free to escape the city.
âAre you ready?â Daran asked.
Janet nodded firmly.
Daran smiled and pecked her lips, âAfter you, my lady.â
Janet climbed up to the windowsill and was ready to jump off to the ground.
Yet right at this very moment, they heard a knock coming from the door, which froze them right on their spot.
â¦Who could it be?
Who could come and knock on their door at this hour? On the very night that they were about to start their mission?
Daran gave Janet a quick look telling her to stay put. He raised his voice and answered, âWhat is it?â
âAlpha Daran, sorry to disturb you.â
A guardâs voice came from outside of the door.
âBut the King is here to see you.â
