Chapter 473 Homecoming Dinner He closed the door in a split second.
Josie was astonished. Did Anderson misread our posture? She immediately pushed the man away from her and stood up. She said, âGo⦠go back and sleep in the master bedroom.â
After that, she opened the door and ran away.
Dexter smiled bitterly as he looked at Josieâs figure. He said softly, âSheâs like a child.â
When he came out, Anderson pulled him to one side. âWhatâs going on? Youâre still ill and must restrain from doing certain things.â
Dexter was annoyed and amused. âYou must be kidding.â He patted Andersonâs shoulder. âSheâs embarrassed by you opening the door. Letâs not talk about it.â
Anderson rolled his eyes. âI never thought you were living so happily now!â
Old Mr. Russell went to look for Paul, and they met for the first time. Josie was astonished. Dexter happened to be sick and couldnât work, so the two headed to Paulâs residence.
Josie volunteered to drive him.
Dexter sat in the passengerâs seat and smiled in exasperation. âIâm a little worried.â
âIâm a great driver. Donât worry.â Josie was confident.
âReally? Who got into an accident on the road the last time and then called me and asked for help?â He said slowly.
Josie blushed. She desperately wanted to gag him.
Dexter smiled as he watched her.
As she was driving, he told her to go to the supermarket.
âWhy?â
âTo buy groceries.â
Josie was confused.
âI didnât manage to eat your cooking previously. Now that everyone is gathered, Iâll cook.â
Josie was overwhelmed when she heard what he said. âWow. What an honor.â
Dexter squeezed her hand as he chided her playfully. âDonât be weird about it.â
When they arrived, they happened to bump into a familiar figure that came down the stairs. Josie passed him by without noticing when a voice came from behind her. â.. Sis.â
Josieâs figure stiffened, and Dexter turned around.
He was surprised to see Justin. He wasnât as scrawny as before and looked much more energetic. At that moment, he was looking at Josie with a complicated expression.
âHow did you know about this place?â Josie asked coldly.
Justin hung his head. âMy mom told meâ¦â Then, he quickly added, âBut donât worry. I donât mean to disturb you. Itâs just that heâs my father too.â
Josie didnât know how she felt about this younger brother she wasnât biologically related to as she saw how remorseful he seemed.
âSince youâre here, come in.â
Dexter held many things in his hands, and Justin wanted to help. He greeted Dexter cautiously.
âDexterâ¦
They had met in Heaven on Earth.
Dexter didnât say anything except, âCome in.â
Old Mr. Russell was also having tea with Paul on the balcony. They were enjoying themselves.
Paulâs expression changed when he saw Justin behind Josie. He hobbled into his room with his walking stick. âCome with me.â
âDadâ¦â
âCome!â
Old Mr. Russell called Dexter over. âWhy are you here?â
Dexter was amused. âWhy? Am I not allowed to be here? Are you the only one whoâs allowed to be here?â
Old Mr. Russell had a disdainful expression and immediately said, âYouâre finally getting your act together. This is how a son-in-law should be.â
Dexter enquired about Old Mr. Russellâs health and said, âAs a good son-in-law, Iâm going to cook. Stay back and try my cooking.â
Old Mr. Russell looked at Josie in disbelief. âDid you teach this brat to cook?â
Josieâs face flushed, and she pushed Dexter into the kitchen. Grandpa, Iâm going to help him.â
The man who usually never stepped foot in the kitchen worked skillfully. Josie instructed him from the side, and their figures looked extraordinarily warm and sweet.
This was what a loving couple looked like.
