"Ugh, get off me! I got a text!" Sam cried out, pushing off Max who groaned before rolling over and cuddling up to Elijah.

A happy sound escaped Sam's mouth as he read over the words. "Guys! Jaylee messaged me and asked if we were free today to meet Ruby." He spoke happily, quick to reply.

"You're not even going to ask us if we want to go?" Elijah mumbled out.

Sam rolled his eyes, "Yeah, cause we have so much going on right now." He retorted. His phone dinged and he let out another happy giggle. "She asked if we could meet at the park and go for lunch together."

"Sounds lovely." Max replied, turning to look over at Sam's phone screen. "I'm still jealous." He said, his voice a bit grumpy.

Sam chuckled, leaning over and pressing a kiss to Max's cheek. "Baby, I promise you that I only have room in my heart for you two and my heart only belongs to you two."

"You promise?" Max asked and Sam soon realized that this wasn't just a silly conversation. Max was still dealing with aftermath of a terrible relationship, that most likely affected his self esteem and confidence.

It never occurred to Sam that Max would need some extra reassurance from the pair, as he was still traumatized from his first relationship. Samuel gave a soft smile, meeting Max's eyes and nodded, "I promise. My heart will always be open to you and that won't ever change. So please, ease your thoughts a bit. Jaylee is so happy with her girlfriend and I'm so happy with my boyfriends."

"Okay," Max smiled back, wrapping his arms around Sam's waist and resting his head on the other's lap. "When are we going?"

"In about an hour, so you both need to get ready." Sam replied, pointing at the two.

Elijah let out a groan, rolling over to face the pair. "Why do we gotta get ready to be social?"

"You can go out looking like a bum, but don't get butt hurt when I act like Max is the only boyfriend I have." Sam teased and Elijah rolled out of the bed.

"I will be damned if I get disrespected like this! I'm showering first." Elijah said, grabbing some clothes from Sam's closet and heading to the bathroom.

When Elijah went into the bathroom, Max rolled over taking over the space that was once occupied. "You gotta start getting ready too." Sam spoke, rubbing up and down Max's back gently.

"I will," Max said, "Just rub my back a bit more."

Sam happily agreed, giving the other some more comforting touches, before Elijah came out from the bathroom and Max went in with a handful of clothes.

"We could have showered together," Elijah suggested.

Max let out a laugh, "Yeah sure, we definitely would have just showered." He replied as he closed the door behind him.

Elijah placed on some socks, "You know we all practically live at your house."

"Max technically does, you just stay here a lot." Sam teased, "Doesn't your mom ever miss you?" He joked.

The other rolled his eyes and plopped down on the bed beside Sam, "She checks in on me a lot, texting and updating me on things." Elijah explained. "She's been more clingy after what happened." He trailed off leaving Sam confused.

"After what happened?" Sam asked, "Oh! Is it something to do with why you disappeared for some days?"

Elijah nodded and ducked his head. "Hey, baby," Sam spoke softly, standing up and walking over to Elijah who stood still.

Once Sam was in front of the other, he gently placed a hand on Eli's cheek, slowly caressing with his thumb. "You don't have to talk about it, I completely understand that sometimes speaking your pain makes it real and if you rather keep it in for now, I'll let it be."

"My dad," Elijah spoke, his voice cracking, "My actual dad he, he called me and... and apologized for doing what he did to me."

Sam stayed silent. "He touched me when I was young and I thought I would never have to acknowledge him after he got sent away. When... When I heard his voice, it sent me into a spiral. All the memories I pushed away came flooding back and when my mom found out, she told the school and I was able to take a week off. When I got better, I begged her to let me see you. After that, she's been checking in more frequently to make sure I don't go into another depressive episode." Elijah finished off, tearing up.

"You can cry." Sam said and that statement caused trails of uneven tears to flow down Eli's face, each one being wiped away by Sam. Elijah closed his eyes, allowing himself to fully feel his emotions.

It wasn't long until Max came back from the bathroom, Sam went to explain what was happening. "I heard," Max mouthed gesturing for him to continue consoling Elijah.

Sam watched as Max walked around and gave Eli a huge back hug, holding him closely. "You're the strongest person I know," Max spoke, which only caused Elijah to start full on sobbing as he crumbled into Samuel.

After some time, Eli collected himself and took some deep breaths. "Okay, I'm good now." He spoke, standing up straight and smiling at Sam. Max let go of his hold on the other, "Should we cancel our lunch plans?" He suggested.

"Nah, I think after crying that much I could actually use some good socializing." Elijah said, waving off the suggestion.

Max nodded his head, "If you insist." He replied, "Sam you can go get ready now, I'll stay with Elijah."

"Okay," Sam responded, grabbing the clothes for his dresser that he already picked out and went into the shower.

The pair was now left alone and to break the silence, Max asked, "How long before Sam realized he forgot a towel and comes out saying he wants to kill himself?"

"Five."

"Five what?" Max asked, confused.

"Four. Three. Two. On-" "I swear to god I'm going to kill myself!"
